The service was excellent. Food was good; appetizer was excellent (fried mushrooms) crispy & hot! Martini had little taste & a bit pricey.
Mgr came to table to ask about our visit & I mentioned dissatisfaction with cocktail but no offer to take off bill.
Great birthday lunch with friends.
We made our reservation through Open Table last Sunday, November 2, for our anniversary night on Monday, November 3. We showed up at Saltgrass and it was totally dark. As you know, it is very hard to find an open restaurant on a Monday night and we were so excited to go to Saltgrass. What a disappointment on our 47th anniversary. Please update your records if Saltgrass is closed on Mondays. Thank you!
Lights very bright at table
Waited for a table even though we had a reservation. Sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table to open up. Didn’t get greeted by the bar tender until 10 minutes of us sitting at the bar. Took another 10 minutes for drinks. Food was okay. This was our first visit, & probably out last. We expected more, honestly think Outback is better which isn’t a great thing.
The reservations improved our experience greatly as we did not have to wait for a table. They did have a little confusion on who would be serving us so it took a bit to get our drink order, but after that it was great. I assume it was an honest mistake and would still recommend Salt-Grass to anyone.
Our 1st time eating at Saltgrass and everything was great, We had the sweetest waitress who made sure we had everything we needed, the food was excellent, and the Grilled Pineapple Margarita, well I had to have 2 because they are delicious ❤️❤️❤️
Our dinner was outstanding. Our waitress was the best. Our bread was hot, our salads perfect and the steaks were delicious.
Food was excellent. Social distancing appropriate. Dealt with disabled diner well.
The food was good the service and the waitress was good and the steak was good
Ouf recent visit was pleasant, food was served hot and fresh and our server (JC) was attentive without being intrusive. The croutons were very salty as was the queso. My only real issue was the presentation. I hade the steak and shrimp w/mashed potatoes. The plate looked as though everything had just been thrown on it. A sprig of parsley would have helped, perhaps pouring the steak juices off before serving, maybe putting the potatoes in a shaped pile instead of what appeared to be shapeless blob. Presentation is important, it just looked like the kitchen didn't or, or doesn't get it. People want a dining experience.
Excellent meal. Followed social distancing and use of masks. Will definitely return!
We went for Father’s Day and had a great waiter. I expected more options with a
I took my husband for Father’s Day. The service was great and the waiter was very attentive. The food, however, was not so good. I ordered the Chicken Larendo. The chicken was slightly burned and dry. I had to request a reorder and got that to go.
Outstanding as always
Wait staff very efficient and wore face masks as recommended. Fries a little greasy, but country fried steak was good. Also green beans to die for. I’ll go again
Called ahead, made reservation, still had to wait as table not ready. When there is limited seating I guess I don’t really understand that scenario, especially when there was plenty of tables other than those marked “Reserved for social distancing “. MOD was obviously dealing with new staff and training issues.
Reservation yielded quick seating! Advised restaurant and server of a birthday event being celebrated. Most of meals were served on time, however, mashed potato side dish was not delivered until the meal was ended (although baked potatoes were immediately available!) Rib eye steak displayed tough fibrous material along with a higher-than-average fat content around the edges. Marbling was minimal. Most drinks were satisfactory except for margarita being served with minimal tequila and maximum ice. At end of meal, server did not offer any kind of dessert for the birthday guest - complementary or not. With less than 50% occupancy, there really was no excuse for less-than-stellar food and service.
My steak was burnt and bland the fried chicken was cold the potato soup was pureed mush our appetizer. Was cheese fries however the "fries" were large chunks of rock hard cold potatoes EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED
Great experience. Was good to be back.
Appetizer was great potato soup very bland the ribeyes no seasoning what so ever, not worth 20.00. The waitress that we had was great i wish i knew her name because she was the high point of the evening for my 12 yr old daughter very sweet and polite. With all the franchise stakehouse in st tammany parish i would say this is at the bottom, sorry for the bad review but the food is very bland and no taste.
We made reservations but still had to wait a bit due to the limited seating capacity. Server was very attentive and friendly. The only issue was that my steak was under cooked but the server had them cook it longer and then it was perfect. This was my first visit and I plan to visit again in the future . I really liked the ambiance, very quiet and relaxing .
Glad they are reopened, great food, awesome service and everything.
