Salted Brick at Trilogy at Ocala Preserve Ratings and Reviews
We booked Salted Brick through Open Table for the 3rd time. This was in celebration of our friends 50th Wedding Anniversary -a party of four. Our greeting at the front desk by John was superb! Because our reason to celebrate was in a note through Open Table, the restaurant was fully aware and greeted us by each of our names! Good seating, competent service, extra care and acknowledgement was offered throughout. The food continues to be very good. A quick aside request through John for a special desert to be shared was a wonderful addition. Everything went flawlessly. We enjoyed ourselves as we normally do, but the extra attention Salted Brick offered for a very special occasion was well received.
We'll continue to bring friends and guests to enjoy lunch or dinner.
Signs at the Trilogy entrance and along the way toward the restaurant would be helpful. Wasn't sure we were even at the right building after we parked. But the decor is beautiful, the service was outstanding, and the food was great. Actually finding the restaurant was a minor blip compared to the good experience we had there. Looking forward to going back.
We had reservations for two for Thanksgiving. We had to hunt around for someone
to check us in. They put us at a table for two next to the bar in a line of tables for two
seating so we were on the top of the party next to us. I think they were adding tables
to get the max seating for their buffet. We left before ordering, very disappointing
especially for Thanksgiving dinner
We went for Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet and it was wonderful, everyone enjoyed the food, and no lines at the buffet tables. We had 6 adults and 1 teen ager and 1 child and they both enjoyed the food. We love eating at the SaltedBrick, the waitress was a delight.
We've dined at The Salted Brick several times, and the food has always been excellent. There were four of us in our party this time. One had meat loaf, one had a shrimp sandwich and two of us had the mac and cheese. I had ordered it in the past, and it was the best I had ever had. This time it was terrible! Both of us ate only a small portion. I mentioned it to our waitress about it, and she said they changed the menu about three weeks ago. The previous mac and cheese had peas, carrots, ham and apple slices. I never had anything like it before, and it was delicious. The new Truffle Mac and Cheese is unbelievably bland. It's just macaroni and cheese. Something you can get even at the most low end restaurants. I don't recommend it at all, nor will I ever order it again. The other two members of our party raved about their food. I brought mine home, thinking I might try it again. I wound up throwing it away. This is not to say we won't go back. It's just to say....stay away from the mac and cheese. You'll be sorely disappointed.
Terrible. So loud we had to scream to talk. We arrived a few minutes early and they made us wait until twenty minutes for a table although tables were empty. Service was abysmal. Waited thirty minutes for drinks and an hour for food. Waitress brought wrong food and wrong drinks. Heard this place was great. We won’t be back. Awful.
Beautiful building and bar area. Very noisy but as a group of 9, we could overlook that. Upon the recommendation of our server, we both had ribs for dinner. They fell off of the bone and were very tasty. We did not care for the house merlot and our server overheard that. She gave us “tokens” for a free wine or beer the next time we go there.
A little pricey but we enjoyed it and would return.
We have enjoyed a couple of lunches here and decided to bring our company to the Salted Brick for dinner. We we're not disappointed. The service and the food was very good. It's always nice to see the Manager right in the mix of things. He was there for lunches also! It was fun to have lots of diners around and people at the bar. The lobby and outside seating was open and inviting. I'll be back with a small group next week. Yes, we like the place!
Very loud environment. We couldn't even hear the waitress. If you want a burger, that was good. My macaroni and cheese was cold and swimming in milk. My sisters chicken sandwich was ice cold and super dry. Inedible. The manager was very sorry and took them off the bill. I'm hoping they will get better with time.
We were a party of four women anxious to try this new restaurant. One, to check it out, and two, to see if we could host a monthly Ladies Luncheon there. Other than the noise factor, we were all very pleased with everything we experienced. The food was very good; the service was excellent, the manager was present and helpful also; the ambience from the entrance throughout the lobby, desk and booths was super! The menu is well thought-out as we saw specific meals our husbands would enjoy. So it will be a good place for couples/friends to enjoy together.
We enjoyed our first visit to Salted Brick. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The only negative is that it is very loud. There was 6 of us and we had a hard time hearing one another talk. There is nothing to absorb the sounds and the ceiling is very high so it just makes the noise level quite high.
This was my third visit. The first two were excellent. But with a group of 10 on Wednesday night it was poor service. Mark was slow to take our orders once he got our drink order. Then when food was served the last of out party to arrive was served first. Two patrons returned their pasta dishes to the kitchen because they arrived cold. When it was time to lay we got up to ask the bar tender to take our payment. Our waiter was not to be seen. We had to wait for him to be found and stood st the register to wait to pay. One person ordered plain lettuce with oil and vinegar due to diet restrictions. Hers was so simple but served last !!!!
Few people were in the restaurant. We could see other servers but no one paid us any attention.
Food was great, everyone had something different and all enjoyed their meals. Two are gluten free and our waitress verified with the chef there would be no cross contamination. Chef even came to talk to us. The restaurant manager & our waitress where top notch, engaging and helped create a wonderful atmosphere! We will be back!!
I started by reserving a table for four to celebrate my wife's birthday using Open Table. Shortly after making the reservation, I received a phone call from the hostess asking how they could make the evening even more special by reserving either a table or booth, inside or outside or by the window (completely unexpected). We arrived not knowing the layout of the location and began looking around to see where to go. The manager immediately found us and guided us to the hostess stand where we were greeted and taken directly to our seat that was described during the phone call. The waiter arrived promptly, had a great attitude and never let out drinks get below half full. Food was amazing (Heritage Pork Chop was incredible). Not once did I notice any staff members standing around and this was a Saturday evening during prime time. All in all, with the ambiance, price, quality of food and staff, we will certainly return most likely sooner rather than later.
We loved it, but since the ceilings are high, it's a tad noisy making it hard to have a conversation with a larger party. The only other minor let down was that I ordered a Moscow Mule and my anticipation was that it comes in a copper mug - instead - in came in a high ball glass. We will definitely go back because we love the energy, the view and the food!
For having only been open for approx. 10 days, we were extremely impressed with the food choices, cleanliness, atmosphere and overall ambience. The serve was also good but it needs to be tweaked however, the F&B Manager did make a point to stop by the table to check to see if all was well. Will definitely go back!
