We strive to provide excellent service while you sit and enjoy a spectacular meal with your loved ones prepared by Chef Chris Watts and Chef Kristen DeGroot and their team. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit with us a little more special!

Our business hours (Updated 10/27/2021) are Monday through Sunday, 4:30pm-9:00pm.

For a table we do recommend a reservation. If you would like a more casual dining experience we also take Walk-Ins to our lovely Steinbeck Bar.

Live entertainment is back! We will be featuring live music on Wednesdays and Sundays starting October 13th.

Weekend Brunch with live entertainment, from 10am - 2pm, starts November 27th!

We chose this restaurant because of the location and hoping it could be our “go to” place because it’s walking distance from our our condo at the Santuary (Worldmark). We found the number of Entree’s very limited. The appetizers offered were very good so we chose appetizers as our entree’s along with their beet salad. The reason for the 3.5 star rating is because we felt some items on the menu are not priced correctly. One example is oysters on the half shell priced at $4.75 each. The oysters were fresh and delicious. We actually ordered them but their prices are not price competitive with other local restaurants.

In a word... FANTASTIC!
The food was incredible and Cheyenne was an amazing server!
I will definitely be back and I will absolutely recommend Salt Wood to my friends!

We decided to try their new brunch this last Sunday and found it to be delightful! The restaurant wasn't as crowded as it usually is for dinner (which may change) and they had live entertainment, a very nice guitarist that strummed Christmas tunes as well as contemporary covers. The dungeness crab benedict was excellent, as were the duck fat fried potatoes on the side. My husband and daughter both ordered the Brioche French Toast which was really delicious, generously garnished with baked apples and pecans. Very large portions, enough to split next time! It was a very, nice relaxing Sunday brunch, the first we have gone to since the beginning of the pandemic in fact. Love the dinner here too, btw!

We had Thanksgiving day at Salt Wood. The turkey was juicy and the trimmings were delicious. They pulled off Thanksgiving day perfectly. The service level was top notch. Would dine here again.

We had a delicious meal pre-Thanksgiving- while being serenaded by their fantastic musician! We devoured the Olive bread, butternut squash soup, and apps oysters, shrimp & grits, pork belly were fantastic. We shared the half roast chicken and it was a huge portion, and we wanted fo lick the platter! The desserts bread pudding and Apple galette were also just perfectly done. All staff were kind, friendly and very attentive. Best meal of our coastal trip!

Our server, Derek, was great and made us feel very comfortable! Tad, the manager, stopped by and was very warm and welcoming. He even remembered all of our names. The food and ambience are great! We will definitely be back.

Started out good, but declined after. Oyster and appetizers were really good (olive bread and scallops), but Cioppino was watery and Cod was ok, but rice was WAY undercooked; portions were on the smaller side too.
Also order a $100 bottle of champagne and it was WARM! now i would have appreciated a "glass of something" on the house to tie us over while the Champagne cooled in ice; just a little touch.

We would go back again for oysters, appetizers and drinks (we didn't order any, but they looked interesting)

Great atmosphere and speedy service. The steak and bread pudding dessert were amazing! The salmon was okay & my cocktail was delicious, but skimpy. Tables were close together, so privacy wasn’t possible, but we did enjoy getting to know the couple next to us. Overall, a great restaurant & bar.

A lovely new addition to the peninsula. Menu was pretty limited and most of the highlights that were shown on website wasn’t available unfortunately the evening we were there. Overall what was deliver was delicious and the ambience is fantastic.

We are never disappointed with Salt Wood. We often bring guests here because the food and service are so reliable. The coffee encrusted scallops were perfectly prepared and delicious.

We loved our experience at Saltwood! Food was deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. Our cocktails were yummy. Service was warm, professional, attentive and paced just right. We really enjoyed the live music and the fireplace inside. While it looked like the propane heaters on the patio would have been sufficient for warmth, the overhead strings of party lights were far too bright! We are glad we dined indoors. Our only complaint would be that portion sizes were very small for the price of the dishes we purchased. The Dungeness crab mac it was still delicious though. We will return to Saltwood if we visit the area again!

The restaurant is picturesque inside and out, the outside view was great to watch at sunset under the outside heaters, and the platting of the food was visually appealing. The hostess was friendly and attentive. The chilled oysters and olive bread were tasty and fresh. However, the entrees were lack luster for what I was expecting for a resort restaurant. We had the cornmeal crusted halibut with corn succotash and Steak Frites. The halibut crust was nice and crispy, however the food was not particularly hot and did not have a lot of flavor. The steak was fatty and the chimichurri over powered the steak. I ordered the steak medium-medium well and it came out well done and charred. I had to ask for some bbq sauce to sort of wash out the charred flavor of the steak. Honestly the fries were the best part of the dining experience which is so disappointing after I've worked in the food service industry for 15 years. Typically I will let a oops slide here and there when it comes to dining because stuff happens. However when I spend $140 including tip for a fine dining experience I am expecting more than what I suspect was frozen fish and bulk steak.

We loved the service and the live music and the cocktails and ambiance. We had a really nice night and are glad we went. My husband and I shared all of our dishes. The grilled bread and the crab mac and cheese were amazing. The caesar and the halibut weren't anything special to my tastes...(halibut was more deep fried than I expected from the description and I don't really like fried stuff so that may be the main problem for me.)

This was our third, and last, try at this restaurant. The place is very noisy. The entrees on the menu were limited to 4 and very overpriced: chicken, $34. The service was mediocre. I had the ciopino appetizer which had 2 muscles in it a few other things. It was watery and tasteless. My wife had the octopus which was very tough and not very good. We also had a $17 Caesar salad that had 2 anchovy on it but was pretty good.

I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Good was phenomenal. Atmosphere was fantastic. The LIVE music was GREAT!!! We loved everything about this place. Lobster Mac is a must and the cioppino was stellar!!!! Definitely returning.

I wish my friends and I could love this place. It’s a convenient location for our monthly meetings, but we all agree the food is just not delicious. It’s well prepared, but is really lacking in flavor. Having been there multiple times, we’re moving on. Just bored by the food.

Waiter read specials and we placed order from prior day. Had to cancel and re-order.
Ordered oyster and salad, delivered prior to the meal.
Main course delivered along with oyster forks, way after the oysters.
Main course delivered, had to ask for silverware 3x.
Once meal was over had to tell waiter to cancel soup order as it bet came.
Good food and pretty restaurant.
Service was very odd.

This was our first time...we had to sit outside because we brought our dog which they don't allow to stay in the room, but they brought him water, had heat lamps, blankets, and offered without us asking. However, the food ( appetizers) were over-priced for very small portions and they brought out hot dish out at the same time as our salad and bread so of course it got cold. It was $20 and it was this little tiny dish of crab mac n cheese. The Caesar was around $17 and had no croutons that it stated it would have and had hardly any lettuce. The chocolate cake was very dry and flavorless which we mentioned and we only took a couple bites... Pillsbury is even better. If you can't provide a really good chocolate cake, they shouldn't offer it. They tried to bring out "gelato" stating, "Maybe this will help" but it was ice-cream like Dreyers not gelato and if you're a reputable business, the cake that was still sitting on our plate should have been taken off our bill. I'm used to eating at 5 star restaurants, but the olive bread was the only good thing we had... and we left still hungry with a bill ( with tip of $77). Very disappointing!

We had a wonderful time. The food was well prepared and presented. The menu was limited, but offered enough choice to appeal to most. They readily made an adjustment for me (offered salad instead of rice). We both had the salmon, which was flavorful and perfectly cooked - flaky and moist.
The customer service was excellent. All staff were friendly and engaging. I know some restaurants are having staffing difficulties, so it was great to see some trainees. We will be back!
