Salt Springs Brewery is a wonderful place to go! Food is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful.
Always have a good meal at Salt. Looking forward to summer and patio.
This was on our to-try list for a while, and expectations were high. The service was excellent and the food was great. Standards like pizza or pork Schnitzel and creative experiments like the deep fried Brussels sprouts were equally inspired. We would have never tried those Brussels sprouts but the waiter was enthusiastic and now we know why. We'll be returning many times, I think.
We enjoyed our dinner here. We ordered a pizza off the specials menu, a sandwich, and the sourdough bread basket to start. I was a little surprised to see the bread was not served warm -- especially considering there was a $4 charge for bread. The Raging Mammoth sandwich was delicious -- this sandwich is served cold, which is fine, but it was a surprise to us when we received it. Noting it on the menu would save the shock! I'd come back and order these again... they just didn't come out as I was expecting.
Beautiful space, but VERY chilly on a winter’s night! We were all keeping our coats on. Food was great and everything else was excellent.. two specific wihes was for more noise control and mire heat..
Great menu with lots of fantastic choices. Would go back in a minute. Great place.
We stopped for Valentine’s and had a wonderful meal! Having celiac did limit the menu some but I didn’t feel left out like some places I’ve been. The truffles fries were AMAZING! My daughter got the smoked Mac n cheese and everyone thought it looked like the best meal ever. Overall I’d highly recommend to anyone this cute little place!
Nice . Food is great, but a bit pricey. Very accommodating with request for seating.
The food and service are always excellent. We always enjoy our visits to Salt.
Food we ordered was over cooked for 3 of the 4 dishes. We ordered the pork, both in the pulled sandwich and the salt springs pork schnitzel. We expected better. The service was very good. Waitress was attentive. The other waitstaff was very good as well.
Good food consistently, good beer choices, good specials.
I had the Market Fish, wild caught Coho Salmon on top of brocolini and fingerling potatoes with a Michigan cherry butter. It was delicious, I also had the heavenly hefenwiesen beer, and a cranberry hefenwiesen, the latter I enjoyed more. Overall the food was great and the beer good and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Don’t order specials. Stick to comfort food/burgers at this restaurant and you will be fine. I got salmon with asparagus and potatoes. The salmon was awful, clearly not fresh despite the menus statement to the contrary, the salmon was dry and over cooked and so was the asparagus. Asparagus was stringy and mushy. Not what I expect for a $25 special. Not impressed. I’ve eaten here other times and gotten burgers/sandwiches which were good but they can’t do gourmet.
Our family went for a birthday dinner. The food was good and service fantastic. This is a high quality restaurant that Saline is fortunate to have.
Beer always tastes flat. Food just ok.
Always great food and service. Tried the smoked chicken, bacon, ranch pizza this time and loved it.
I love Salt Springs Brewery. I've been here about 5 times. My only advice to newcomers would be to order anything but the steak. Unfortunately it is overpriced and tough. The rest of their menu is hard to compete with. We were offered a new steak and free desert with our bad experience.
This was my second visit, more for those in my group. Our server, Feida, was amazing. She offered recommendations and was extremely attentive to our overall dining needs. On my first visit Jeff took amazing care of us as well. I hope to dine again soon, would love to meet the owner. The manner in which he has fashioned this establishment is beautiful and the history of the building is still very much present. Five star/gold crown establishment!!
We had reservations and arrived 20 min early. First seating attempt was to put us upstairs in a small room with another large, private party. We refused this and we seated downstairs with a much nicer ambiance. Our server was very accommodating, suggesting a taste of possible beers which were nice. The pork loin dish with German potatoe salad and sauerkraut was outstanding. Would not recommend the blueberry buckle dessert--far too dry. Overall a really good meal with good service, but dessert is not the forte of this venue.
Great find. Food is delicious. Craft beers are top notch. The fact that it is a restored church makes it that much more interesting. Highly recommended.
The food was very good but the service was lacking. 3 of us ordered soup and after a long time period we had to ask the waitress to bring it. She stated she did not realize it was to be brought prior to the meal. From the time we ordered it took 50 min. for the main course to be served. Fortunately it was a group of 5 guys who had not seen each other in a year so the time did not matter. The manager did come over and apologize.
Great service and atmosphere. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and pulled pork mac & cheese. Disappointed with the lack of pulled pork on the mac&cheese dish but other than that a wonderful dining experience.
This is an amazing brewhouse located in an old church in Downtown Saline. I drive over 20miles for their brunch and dinners because it is worth it. Making the reservation simply for two was not a problem. Only thing to know, dinner specials do not begin until 6pm. We learned hard way and they looked delicious, oh well plan on going back in Jan. We were provided with a xmas gift from them...a surprise coupon. How nice.
Great steak, great truffle fries, authentic Strasbourg-like Tarte Flambe (pizza), and great brewed beers; Kick Axe and Cashmere are fantastic. Great waitstaff, always attentive.
Putting a great brewery in an old church is brilliant. The beer was fantastic and the food was just as good. The open dining room with stained glass windows added to the atmosphere.
Great dinner with my husband and kids. The food was excellent and the staff was very accommodating to our two small kids. Great evening!
Our group of six visited Salt Springs Brewery for the first time last night. The food, beer, and service were perfect! Our server, Keith, was attentive and made great suggestions. The atmosphere was just right. We will come back!
We had several different beers which we all enjoyed. The Brussel sprouts are OUTSTANDING! Also the Cubano was pretty amazing!
First time here, and we all loved it! The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious, as well as the cheese bread! Main dishes were served HOT! I LOVE that! And taste was great! Service by Dan was friendly, fun and he was very timely in all that he did! We were very happy!
Adam (host) was rude to us. We had reservations and he refused to sit us at one of the many open reserved tables. We waited 20 minutes and then he sat us at one of the open reserved tables. We watched him seat multiple groups of middle-aged folks, who got there after us, before ever seating us. As a group of 24 year olds, it seemed incredibly ageist.
The food was incredible, but did discriminate against some younger folks.
This was my first visit to the establishment. Daniel was amazing with our service..... he made our time there fabulous. The history of the building (being a church) was interesting and keeping the stained glass makes this so unique.
The vegan dishes are amazing. We try to go on Wednesdays for more vegan specials, but even if we go on another day we know there will be the regular vegan menu items.
Went to Salt Springs for lunch with co-workers. Showed up right when they opened at 11:30 am. We were seated promptly. The server took our order knowing we were due back at the office in less than an hour. The food was on the table a few short minutes later and was delicious. I will definitely go back when I have more time to enjoy some brew and relax with family and friends.
A friend and I had dinner at Salt Springs Brewery before going to a movie. Our meal was so delicious! We kept telling our attentive server that we'd never be able to finish all three courses, but we did! And enjoyed the gelato for dessert - the salted caramel was amazing. We each said we could have just enjoyed the roasted brussel sprouts as a meal on its own as well as the Michigan salad. Our pizza was also excellent. My friend was there for the first time and said it was her new favorite!
Always good food and the beer is fantastic!
I've eaten here many times before and loved it but this last time was disappointing. I brought my family for brunch on the last day they were in town visiting, and we waited over an hour and a half for the food. The waitress said the kitchen was short staffed, but the wait was ridiculous and many tables who came in after us got their food before us. When the food finally did arrive, everything was cold. The brussel sprouts were under cooked, the eggs were overcooked, they messed up my mother's order and didn't bring the side of potatoes it was supposed to come with, one of her pieces of toast was burnt on the edges and not toasted at all in the center, the other piece was simply not toasted at all...Overall between the wait and all the mistakes and issues with the food the experience was extremely disappointing. We were also kind of shocked that given the unusually sub par experience they didn't offer any reparative measures. I wanted to say something but my family was too polite to complain. It was a bummer all around, usually the food and service here are stellar but this last time with my family in town everything was off.
We were here for our anniversary dinner. Steve was a fantastic and attentive server. Always a great atmosphere, good food, and a great variety of drinks.
Drive an hour to meet my grandparents here and I was well worth it. Both the vegan sandwiches were incredible! I would definitely go back :)
There are limited choices for entrees, but many options for sandwiches, salads, pizza, and other lighter fare. Everything that we had was very good - pork mac & cheese, sweet chicken legs and brussels sprouts.
Salt Springs Brewery is one of our best area restaurants. Ambience is classy and food is original and good. Love the Brussels sprouts and can't keep myself from ordering them every single time. If you are hoping for a quiet conversation and it's game night, however, this is probably not the place.
