This was about my 6th or 7th time to Salt and I go to a lot of restaurants between my job and my home life. Quite simply, it's my favorite restaurant in New Jersey. The seafood is fresh and delicious. The drinks are made perfect (the dirty martinis with blue cheese olives were great). The service was quick but the courses are not served on top of each other. The oysters were outstanding and clearly labeled so you can try different ones. As for the price tag, you get what you pay for. I was there with a party of six and when all was said and done with drinks it came to about $130 a person. Not cheap but you are not coming here if you need a loan for your dinner. Do yourself a favor and try it.

We went here after my son's college graduation ceremony. The vibe was 10/10. We had delicious cocktails and tried all the oysters on the menu. Fresh, cold and delicious.. we are partial to east coast oysters . $4 an oyster was expensive but they were all great. They served warm and lightly toasted bread with an herb butter. I ordered the soft shell crab from the specials menu , which was lightly battered and fried beautifully with basmati rice. My older son had the seared tuna, also a special.... delicious and perfectly seared. My older son had the red snapper.. also delicious. We topped off the meal with the bananas foster topped with fresh whipped cream and maple ice cream. So good. We love seafood and have eaten at many places on Long Island, Cape Cod, Annapolis, etc. We agreed that we would come back here if ever in the area again. The menu was great and had a hard time choosing a dish .. if you love seafood and/or fish and are in the area , def make a point to try this restaurant. Our waiter.. I can't recall his name.. was attentive and well informed about the menu. Great celebration meal .

Everything was perfect. We took a friend of ours there for the first time and she couldn’t stop complimenting everything we ate! The whole experience was nothing short of amazing!

Salt never disappoints. Favorite spot for years, oysters are so fresh- like you taste the ocean itself.

We’ve been to Salt so many times because it is our favorite fish/seafood restaurant, and I always have given 5 stars. This time there were just a couple of things that made me give 4 stars. My entree was Pacific sea bass, and this had at least as much mushy skin as perfect flesh, a bit of a turn off. My husband’s small complaint was just the sides that came with his red snapper: the potatoes were described as crispy on the menu, but were not, and the asparagus was basically thumb sized stalks and no tops. But this was the first time we sat at the high tops in the bar area. I’m barely 5’3” and my feet didn’t reach the chair rung, so my thighs were resting on the hard edge of the wooden seat which got pretty painful by dessert time. I noticed the chairs at the bar were padded. Please make all the chairs padded!

The pan-seared pacific sea bass was likely the best sea bass I’ve ever had. Indulged in some decadent truffle fries that stayed hot for ages because the kitchen cares about these things. The bananas foster was a great way to wrap an insanely delicious meal. Trevor took really good care of the table. Everything about Salt tonight was a win. 5 Stars, would recommend.

Me and my wife were looking for a good night out without kids. My wife does not eat meat and she had a Martini with olives that had meet in it. She was very upset that no one mentioned if we had food allergies or disclose if you don’t eat meat. I’ve been to salt many times and last night was the first time that our experience wasn’t that good. I’m not one to complain but it was down hill after the olive incident. FYI. She hasn’t eaten meat over 8 years. You guys are more than welcome to reach ti me for more info.

Ordered a number of small plates in addition to entrees. All dishes were delicious and presented well. We especially loved the charred octopus, crispy squid, crab cake, crab dip, seafood risotto, and crispy skin black sea bass. Besides the food, the service was top notch. Nathalie, our main server, was welcoming and attentive. The rest of the staff always made sure our cups were full and table was clean. My party had an enjoyable time and we will be back.
