Last dining in experience before everything was shut down due to COVID19. Great drinks, food and service. Will definitely go back when we can.

Service and food was excellent.
We were a group of 6 and were able to try a variety of food by ordering the small plates

Ordered a bottle of wine which the server brought to the table at room temperature at best. Then she just poured the wine without having me taste the wine first. Server was very chirpy but was clueless on how good was prepared. Stone crabs were co er in spiced sugar syrup and not steamed crabs with a mustard SSU e like promised. We requested Britney oysters which server assured they were. Not the case and her response was like a valley girl, tee her my bad.

Will not eat there again,

Our second visit to Salt. We love the decor in this spot! Each time we've enjoyed several small plates with drinks. The drinks are quite good - inventive and moderately strong. The menu choices are plentiful; I find some of the combinations too much, but there is something everyone will enjoy! A heavy asian influence on many of the dishes. The other evening we had the special halibut ceviche which was excellent. It was citrus and sweet as opposed to savory; I really enjoyed that! We also had the fish tacos. Really fresh tasting fish and great taco shells. Next we tried the short rib and the mushroom papardelle. The short rib came with polenta and I forget what the seasoning was, but I didn't love that. The mushroom papardelle was really good! Things add up quickly at this place! The large plates are pricy and the smalls are in the high teens. Not exactly sure how the family style dishes work, but they are very expensive and must be quite large. I like that Salt adds a sophisticated flair to the offering of the ho-hum restaurants on the waterfront. Their sister restaurant Leena's is a place we frequent, but Salt is nice for a change!

I'd recommend it but preferably during the week rather than a busy Saturday night when the noise level is just too much to enjoy a quiet conversation. The food was very good although the number of entrees was somewhat limited as the restaurant encourages sharing and therefore they have a lot of smaller plates, more like tapas, to share. I had the salmon with quinoa and it was excellent. My dining companion had the halibut with the lemongrass cream sauce that was also delicious. They have an interesting wine list, some of which you never see in the States because there is such a limited production in the country of origin. I'm referring specifically to the Croation wines which I've had in Croatia and enjoyed very much.

Outstanding, best restaurant in the Plymouth area. I get the halibut every time but the people with me try everything. Great drinks, too.
