The reservation, staff, food, server Bryan was awesome. Salt made our birthday celebration fantastic!
The manager was rude. He went to every table to see how things were, never came to the table we were seated at.
Our waiter, Brian was simply outstanding, so patient and understanding.
I felt bad because the chicken was not cooked to my liking, I did switch it out for the beef, the best choice I could have made.
I can’t wait until you open in the spring, I have been telling my coworkers about the experience I had, which I will never forget.
Finally, the only negative thing that kind of turned me off was the treatment from the manager, even when we first arrived. We tried to make conversation, very cold. He was coming from his car, getting a jacket.
Outstanding outdoor dining experience. It's a special kind of relaxed casual atmosphere. Food and staff were top shelf.
Great food and service. Outstanding sunset
Everything was wonderful and the food and service was awesome.
Great service. Outstanding food
Ordered halibut but got swordfish instead. When I sent it back they assured me it was halibut, but I have eaten there often because I live nearby. Was very disappointed
Beautiful place, great service and excellent music!! Will definitely go again.
We are repeat offenders at this restaurant. You come for fresh air, boats, good cocktails and well prepared food. Reminds me of Tir A Nog from the Penn Station area in Manhattan; Irish hospitality but with a nautical flavor. Sunsets on the bay are a perfect end to a day with family or friends.
Great spot! Food and service was amazing!
Food was great, service was excellent. Loved the water view.
We made a reservation for lunch week ahead. Received email and text to confirm we're coming day before. When we got to Salt it was closed! Another 4 guests came and said they had reservations as well. No call or email with explanation. Pick a different place for lunch!
Had a wonderful brunch in honor of my late mother's birthday at SALT on the water in Merrick. It's a beautiful place and everything was great.
Overall, All ended well. Main course came out as we were half way thru apps so it came out reheated as much as they tried to say remade. Gerry O did his best to make good and did. Overall it was a cool place to eat and hang out till we drove back to JBT to pick up daughter and friends!
The food was good the ambience was great and they had live music which was amazing
Bathroom messy. Needs updating.
Food adequate. Burgers and salmon. Sangria too sweet. Would recommend for view.
As always, overall amazing!
Went for our wedding anniversary. It remains our favorite restaurant. Ambiance, food, staff- everything was perfect. We recommend it to everyone.
Awesome outdoor seating on the bay watching the sunset. Great food but service could use an improvement as it takes time ti be served.
We were outside with heaters and it was very comfortable. Live music that was not too loud. Easy to talk. Very enjoyable meal and the food was delicious.
I would have rated the place higher but they sat me and my boyfriend at a table with no fire and it was cold outside i was so disappointed about that and they also didn’t have the coconut shrimp which I really wanted but they did give us a 50 dollar gift card to there sister restaurant that will be open when it’s cold because they will be closed in the winter
Bin Voyage luncheon
Was utilizing a gift card so wanted to get in an outdoor on-the-water before that season ended. THAT was the best part of our visit - sunset behind gorgeous yachts. However, the rest of the meal went like this…Waitstaff never took away our dirty dishes from clam chowder that was just OK. (Potatoes in soup should have been softer.) Since no bread or crackers were delivered w the soup, we had to ask and pay for 2 small pieces of garlic bread. 1/2 Chicken was 2 pieces of dark & light meat w skin on that had all the spices so once removed was tasteless. Warm lobster roll had nice pieces of lobster in a toasted brioche roll w some shredded something in a light butter sauce. The French fries were the best - well done & crispy. Won’t be back but it was worth a try.
The ambiance and service were excellent but the food was average for the price
Always and consistently perfect - attentive and kind bar staff and waitstaff, management, talented chefs - and can’t beat the sunset. Thank you as always.
Great staff, all servers were very attentive. We were not rushed and we had a great view of the sunset.
Our server was excellent, but the bus boys and the kitchen couldn’t get it right :(
Served hot soup with no spoon, took 10 minutes to get the spoon, soup cold by then. Then didn’t bring out our entree all at the same time. Waited for awhile for my entree which was the Hawaiian Poke Bowl, which isn’t cooked ??? Kitchen was way off !!!! Too busy, won’t be back.
Great food! Ambience as perfect. Highly recommend
Salt is a fun outdoor dining experience with great food super service and an incredible ambiance overlooking the water and marina!!!
When we were seated we were the only table without an umbrella it could have been offered to us. We both ordered a Pepsi and it tasted so watered down I think the soda needed to be changed. I ordered the filet and shrimp cocktail I ordered my steak medium came out well done. The shrimp cocktail sauce I’m sorry but for a seafood on the water restaurant the sauce was horrible. Was extremely disappointed
Large outdoor area on a beautiful night. 1.5 hr time limit if they need the table but advised ahead of time
Super packed as always! When our waiter Chris came around we knew our drinks apps and entrees on the spot. Drinks and apps took over 30 min to come out. Overall service was fantastic and Chris was friendly - just unfortunate it took 20 min for a glass of water. Otherwise another great visit and we will be back!
We loved our entire experience. Can’t wait to be back for Brunch!
Fabulous view and great outdoor seating. Good service and food. Didn’t feel rushed at all.
Eating on the deck was great except for the bees which were a real bother.
It was excellent all around and the love music was an added bonus. Can’t wait to go back!!
Always great for lunch. The salads are great (but quite expensive) and the view is very nice.
Very nice waterfront setting. Place has a modern coastal feel and looks relatively new and clean. Food was good and wait staff very attentive.
I waited 3 weeks to get into Salt . And it was not worth the wait. They where out of items we wanted . Food was over cooked to the temps we asked for. They offered desert but not the coffee ? For a 300 dollar meal things could have been better.
Good food. Great service.
