   Friday night date, food was very good. Spinach & Artichoke dip to start, short ribs for him scallops for me. Service was a little slow but expected on a busy Friday night.

   A brunch may have not been the best idea for an introduction to Salt. It was crowded, noisy and we were seated in what felt like a hallway thoroughfare where guests were eating from their plates while walking to their tables. Fine dining? The food was only ok and we were very disappointed with the lack of choices. Salts Easter brunch menu offered an omelet bar, salmon and a few other items that were not available on Mother’s Day. And then the price. I felt it was way over priced for a limited brunch plus an automatic 20% gratuity with 2 people. On a buffet! I’m soured on Salt and won’t return.

   The Mothers Day Brunch was very disappointing and the service was average at best. We went to the same brunch a year ago and it had much more food choices and better options.

   We had a wonderful meal especially all the appetizers. We ordered almost all the apps to share with our group. The best part was the staff though. They were having fun in their jobs and it was resonating with us. Logan and Alissa are Fantastic servers.

   I was more than disappointed with my food for the large price tag. I ordered the chicken piccata, it came out and it was a very greasy piece of heavily breaded chicken. The chicken also did not have any sauce over it so it lacked any flavor. While I was eating I ended up finding two hairs in my chicken breading as well making me feel very sick.

   I ordered the pork chop and although it was very good, it wasn't as outstanding as the last time I was here. It was a little bit dry this time. I love this place and will definitely be back. Service was good and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal.

   Salt was a unique experience. For a quiet dinner out with a loved one or close friend, it seems like a decent choice, but there may be better. To start, whoever chose the light temperature clearly doesn't understand how our brains work. The lighting is 5000k, instead of the more traditional 3000k. This means instead of that nice soft yellowish-white glow, all the lights give off this disturbing blueish color. It doesn't relax you, and the vibe feels off. The bartender was kind, and the host was very nice. Seated immediately, however drinks took 10+ minutes to arrive (they weren't really busy) and one was forgotten (we ordered two). The waitress took our order, however struggled to answer some simple questions about a substitution. We ordered two appetizers, including the bread basket. The dinner side salad arrived nearly immediately, however the bread basket took 20 minutes, which seems excessively long for a basket with some pre-made rolls and butter. Once the food arrived, the quality just didn't match the price. It was good, but seemed like a very cliche' attempt to do fine dining on a tight budget, but still charge the patrons as much. Overall, it was a very mediocre evening. The menu needs a serious revamp (been the same for years), and someone needs to change all the lightbulbs. Those two small changes could make a huge difference.

    As Michigan first-timers, my wife and I were treated royally by Brittany, Stacy and the rest of the staff. Brittany is very engaging. Food was outstanding. We will definitely go back there when we are in the Appleton area in the future.

    We seen on their Facebook that their special was the honey shrimp tacos. I said I had to have them! We had the large pretzel, honey shrimp tacos and turtle cheesecake. All of it was absolutely amazing! Kimberly was our waitress, also fantastic! Thank you!

    The food was preparation was great, with each of the dishes cooked to the perfect temperature. Table staff was engaging and attentive - added positively to experience. Only relatively minor negative was service at the bar, which was inefficient and unfriendly. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience, and we will return.

    I love having this level of cuisine available in our small town. My husband and I used to have to go to Milwaukee or Chicago for a similar dining experience and pay twice as much not including the travel. We love Salt.

    We reserved a high top table but were seated in the dining (in a booth) which was fine. I’m not sure where the high top table seating is. Maybe in the bar area???

    Great experience, bar tenders were great and interacted well. Waitress was very pleasant and prompt with service. We are from Green Bay, this was our 2nd time and we brought friends. They enjoyed the evening as well and said they will come back. The whole staff worked well together.

    Definitely not worth the price. All the food we ordered was meh. The spinach artichoke dip was way too chunky and didn't care for the wontons it was served with. The chicken picatta is breaded even though the menu didn't say that it was and the potatoes it came with were drowning in garlic. I love garlic and flavoring and this was way too much. I couldn't even eat it. The steak was OK but definitely not worth $47. And the garlic mashed potatoes had zero flavor. The staff and ambiance were great. But the food was definitely not worth going back for.

    Wonderful experience and a great evening at Salt! Everyone’s food was cooked to perfection and the drinks were great too! Our table LOVED the Blackened Ahi Tuna as an appetizer! For dinner, we enjoyed a combination of steaks served on the salt block, Pistachio Crusted Grouper, Seared Scallops & Bacon, Pomegranate Glazed Salmon, and Dr. Pepper Beef Short Ribs! Can’t pass on the desserts either! We got several of the chocolate flourless tortes and layered carrot cake. YUM—This food coma is always worth it!

    Our waitress Leia was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu. It was a quiet, romantic dinner and her service was top knotch! Looking forward to returning for a special birthday dinner!
