I really liked the food. That was full marks. My daughter loved it as well and I would go again. I wasn’t in love with the handoff between servers ending their shifts. No warnings on last call, etc. It wasn’t handled well, but in general the servers were courteous and friendly. Lastly, I didn’t like the mandatory 20% tip on top of our bill for a two person tables. Tips, and their various levels are based on the quality of service that the customer should ultimately determine, not the restaurant owner adding on an extra cut for themselves. I thought the service was worthy of the 20% tip. I thought seeing it added to my bill given my overall experience was poor form and presumptuous.

What a pleasant surprise! We loved every aspect of this stunning new restaurant inside the gorgeous Populus Hotel in Pioneer Square. Jaw’s dropped when dishes were brought to our table by fabulous servers. Every outstanding morsel was relished. The menu is eclectic and modern and not in a weird way. I’ve never been to a new establishment that was run so smoothly. And we took a quick peak at the views from Firn their rooftop bar. We will be regulars.

Food was delicious, ambiance and the space was very well done. Staff was friendly and great to work with. Price point felt a bit high for what was served. The menu is a bit limited in options. Everything was very flavorful, but would likely need more options to be drawn back to dine again.

Great location and Atmosphere. Crab was a bit flavorless however the duck was very nice. Menu was fairly limited though had some good options. I mark them down for charging a 20% service charge, wages should be paid from the cost of the food, these are just hidden fees no matter how want to try and justify them

Thanks for the review, Philip! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our atmosphere and our duck dish. We appreciate your feedback on our menu selection. We strive to provide a variety of options and flavors, and we're sorry if you found our menu limited. We understand your concerns about the service charge and we'll take them into consideration. We hope to welcome you back to Salt Harvest soon!

Great new place in Pioneer Square. Food was amazing, ambiance was perfect PNW aesthetic. Service was good, but they are a little inefficient when it comes to bottle service for wines. Their cocktails were fantastic, and I'd stick to the glasses for wine.

The duck was fantastic! The restaurant has a cool vibe too. Definitely recommend heading upstairs to the rooftop bar after dinner for a night cap drink with a skyline view.

I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try them again sometime in another six months, but our experience last night was pretty mid. Very friendly staff, but all of the friendliness seems to have slightly gotten in the way of effectiveness. And none of the food was memorable. There were six of us and I don’t think a single person commented on anything being delicious the entire evening. The duck we’d probably order again. It seems like they spent a lot of energy on the aesthetics of the restaurant and lounge and are still ironing out the back of house side of things.

Great food and ambience. Roof top bar is top notch as well. Exactly what Seattle has been needing for a restaurant and roof top bar set up. Will definitely be back again.

Beautiful hotel. Roof top bar has an awesome view of the city skyline, room was small but lovely and the restaurant had a nice vibe open to the kitchen. Great service. Food was well balanced. We’ll be back!
