Salt Craft Central Kitchen is a casual farm to table restaurant that features Chef Matt Greco's personal approach to everyday home cooking. Currently under the shelter in place order, we have evolve into a multi-concept form consisting of take-out, a wholesale bread bakery and social bubble dining. The take-out menu includes a Taqueria, nightly hot & ready dinners, homemade breads, sandwiches, cured meats and staples. We deliver fresh bread to multiple locations around Pleasanton, and our social bubble dinners are an exclusive dining experience including a personalized menu.
Also inspired by the cooking, Salt Craft is set in a historic California home in downtown Pleasanton, featuring an open kitchen and all outdoor patio seating.

Great to have a good restaurant finally open again! This is my 5th visit to Salt Craft, they are consistently high quality. I had the Turkey & Brie sandwich on their home-baked sourdough with a side of homemade potato salad. Great friendly service in an outdoor setting. Highly recommend it.
The duck was excellent
Great place to go on Tuesday if you like Fried Chicken! I misunderstood the "special" when booking the reservation, but did thoroughly enjoy the all you can eat meal!!

We are new to the area and Salt was our first dinner out. How amazing! from our appetizer to our salads to our pasta entrees. It did not disappoint. We will definately become regulars!

They had an undone valentines day all you could eat fried chicken and it was absolutely outstanding! Best fried chicken I’ve ever eaten and it actually tasted healthy. Love this place! Never disappoints.
This was our first time and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We shared two main dishes so we could try some variety. Love that most ingredients are locally sourced and organic.

The food quality and / or the taste do not match the prices. The food is bland, tasteless and definitely not worth it. There are better spots around.
The very best, all food made on onsite. Great taste and value, truly unique recipes.
The overall is experience was excellent despite having to sit in a tent. Food was beyond our expectations and we had excellent and attentive service. We were prepared for the tent seating, dressing warmly. We will return.

As always, our experience was amazing. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The food was really delicious. Salt Craft has a constantly changing menu, where a few staples usually remain for a season, but everything is made with seasonal ingredients. We shared the apple and sesame salad and the rigatoni with sausage (and ricotta). As usual it did not disappoint and we left stuffed. They have a good wine and beer selection as well.
I wasn't feeling the plastic vibe at all, although on a cold rainy night, it was warm and pleasant. I thought the food was uninspiring with the exception of the Burrata toast.

A little disappointed in our visit to Salt. I had contacted them prior because I have celiac disease. I was told that the restaurant would accommodate my dietary need. That was not what happened when we arrived at the restaurant. Our server was unsure of what gluten free meant. In fact, we had to point out that some of her recommendations for me contained gluten. Sigh, I did not have a lot of choices (no gluten free pasta, gluten free bread, meats that were seasoned without gluten-containing spice mixes) that I just had a salad.....and I can get a better salad somewhere else. The others in my group raved about the lamb pastrami but it was served with coffee rye. Yes, the server put the bread directly on top of the pastrami and sauce, contaminating the dish for me. When we pointed it out to her (had asked for bread on the side), she said oops sorry.
We spent almost $300 on food and wine. I had get a much better dining experience around the corner at a restaurant that actually accommodates dietary restrictions......(Blue Agave rocks!)

It's a simple menu but everything is incredibly delicious. Wonderful homemade bread, especially the rosemary. I think they cure their own meats too? The quality is excellent and we've never had a bad meal.
The food at Salt Craft never disappoints. Came with colleagues for lunch and loved the food as always. Love the outdoor seating unfortunately there was road work taking place that crated a bit more noise than normal so will have to come back and enjoy it again without that. 😊
A very simple but powerful menu. There were four that dined, everyone ordered something different so we had a good sample of Chef Matt’s creation. It was all superb!! Every menu item is very different from the other which made for a difficult decision. The waiter was very good and experienced. Chef Matt is very nice and friendly. We had a couple of good conversations about his menu, entrees and his background.
We will be back. This place is a must!
Salt Craft is okay. The service is very good, but the food is not good enough for the prices they charge. Honestly, the best tasting thing I ate there was the fruit in my sangria.

Food was good, we really enjoyed our corn appetizer and side salads.
Setting was enjoyable to people-watch, but a little quiet; it would be nice to have some low volume music or something. There were points where maybe one table in the area was having a conversation and the others were quietly eating, and it felt like we were all part of that conversation, hearing them very clearly though they were not loud. Not a place I would go if I knew I wanted to have a personal or sensitive conversation. Some background noise would help with a feeling of privacy for all.
Service was good, but a little disorganized; it felt like a restaurant still working out the kinks: early clearing of silverware, duplicate deliveries of appetizer and salad orders arriving at the table as we were finishing our main courses. Just felt like an off night for some of the staff or kitchen expediter.
We always have a great meal at Saltcraft, and service is always excellent. I had the beet salad and it was delicious!

We had a fantastic experience here! Portions are a bit small for the price, and I wish there was a more expansive wine selection, particularly from organic or biodynamic wine producers, but the food was amazing and service was friendly but non-intrusive. I also loved that my family members didn't have to leave their (small the waitress even brought water and treats out for her. Overall a great experience, & I plan to come here more frequently!
We came for the cinnamon rolls. They changed the recipe and they should make their way back to the previous recipe stat! The presentation was lackluster, the rolls were lukewarm, bordering on cold. The turkey kale sausage never disappoints. I wish that were true for everything else.
Salt Craft is our favorite Pleasanton restaurant. The food is always fresh, well presented and delicious.
We've been to Salt Craft a handful of times for breakfast and look forward to returning again. We always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Our friends were running late. Our server, Teri, patiently waited with no push to place our orders. We enjoyed an assortment of breakfast items - toast with goat cheese and plum, the salmon breakfast, crustless quiche, the corn scramble and sausage & sunnyside eggs, and of course mimosas. All ingredients are fresh. The bread, sausage and hot sauce are all made in house. Despite the warm day, the shade from the umbrellas made it a comfortable temperature. Thank you Matt Greco for another yummy start to our day.
