As usual, amazing food and great service. The cold weather outside was not felt at all as the heaters were doing their job!
The experience was great overall. The service was really wonderful for being short staffed. Our server answered all of our questions. The coffee rye and Myer’s Lemon pie rocked.
Went with some friends for breakfast and the food is so delicious! Everything is fresh homemade and exceptional
Super delcious and unique options for brunch! I may be addicted to their in house made cinnamon rolls.
Salt Craft is a real gem of a place. I’ve enjoyed breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner here and have NEVER been disappointed. Flavors are inventive and you can literally taste the freshness of their food in every bite. I’m a breast cancer survivor so eating well is always top of mind for me. I love that I have a place to enjoy amazing food that I know is good for me too!! Two thumbs up Salt!!
The meals was good I want to say great but there was a definite lack of proteins. I think I might have counted four fish flakes. My parents dish had two chickens.
Fantastic food; wonderful, attentive, friendly service. Don't let the outdoor seating deter you. We met for breakfast on a chilly morning and it was perfectly cozy inside the "tent" with heatlamps -- and I'm a wimp about being cold. It was a bit noisy because there was a noisy table next to us and some repairs on the street, but wouldn't keep us from coming back.
Went for a weekday breakfast. Food was delicious and mimosas were generous. Service (Terry) was very personable. Definitely want to try dinner!
A perfect place to celebrate a friends birthday. The outdoor setting was very comfortable on a sunny winter day. The food was excellent and the waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. This is my 4th visit and I'll be back.
Slow and inattentive service (15+ min to get coffee, 15 min to get the check) overshadowed the food. Food was good but wasn’t hot.
Server was friendly, but not very attentive. Food was disappointing. Ambiance just ok. Won't be back.
I've been here twice and both visits have impressed me. The food is consistently delicious and the service is great. Particularly noteworthy is that both times I have gone with a friend and split our orders. Usually you just get the two entrees and an extra plate for each person but Salt Craft goes to the trouble to actually plate the two dishes for you. It's the little things that make lasting impressions.
came for Saturday brunch had reservation but would not have needed it. food and service were both excellent. creative dish and well prepared, I will be going back to try the dinner menu next.
Glad we found this unique little place. Everything is outdoor (enclosed) seating, and the kitchen was originally part of a house. Food is top notch as well as the service
One of the best places in Pleasanton downtown
All seating is outdoors, but well insulated - be aware of that when making reservations. That said, our table was available when we checked in. The food was delicious - I had the cassoulet, which was quite good with a depth of flavors. My hubby had the pork schnitzel, which looked massive, but was thin, so not so massive! The only things were the potato and radish ends, which were not trimmed off, and were therefore "buggy." The wine was perfect - a pinot noir, which gave the meal a feeling of sophistication! And the dessert was very good - an apple and oatmeal crumble, which came to the table flame-licking hot! All in all, a very good meal.
Last-minute decision to come here, and I’m glad we did.
Had a wonderful breakfast with friends with the brunch menu and OMG it was delicious!
I had the toast with eggs and turkey sausage gravy...I can’t stop raving and thinking about it every time I hit brunch time. So good! Service was great! Love the new heated tent area and it was quiet and peaceful while we all had brunch. Love it!
Server ignored us for a long time. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for salt (!) which he never brought.
Service was super slow but parties around us came and went while we sat... a little bland.
Another amazing experience at Salt Craft! It was a rainy day and we sat in the side tent with the cozy heaters and had such a great time. Loved the ambience of being outside, but still warm and dry. The food always hits the spot and appreciate that it's all made in house from locally sourced ingredients. Yum!
Really nice breakfast. Lots of choices and great coffee. The patio heaters kept the space cozy and comfortable. Will be coming more often.
Love the simple food with ‘farm to table’ unique and interesting ingredients. It’s simple and totally delicious !!!!!! Homemade everything !
Love this restaurant! Outdoor tent is perfect for winter.
Great food and awesome service. I love their breakfasts and lunches. Haven’t tried dinner yet but definitely soon.
Not what expected. Staff wasn’t attentive. Passed my dirty plates several times before picking up. Pate appetizer was so so. No extraordinary flavors. The pasta with pork and beef had very little beef and almost no sauce. Saving grace was the pasta was done to perfection. Ok food. But it didn’t live up to the hype of advertising or their website descriptions.
As always, a pure pleasure. The local and seasonal menu selections are always surprising and incredibly well thought out.
We decided to try Salt Craft for breakfast. The fresh baked breads and cinnamon rolls were amazing! Loved the rosemary bread with burrata, the rigatoni with pork and beef sugo and the lamb hash. Large portions, fresh squeezed oj and strong coffee. We will be back and back again! The food was wonderful.
Another great meal at Salt Craft! Food and service were great and the heaters did a great job keeping us cozy while the rain came down.
With winter upon us, the seating is all outside in a clear plastic tent with heaters. The side section is cooler then the front where the sun heats up the tent. this is really the only downside to Saltcraft- there is no inside seating.
The food as always was very good. Not as much of a fan of the seasonal pumpkin and chocolate chip cookies compared to the graham cracker caramel version of the summer.
My husband & I decided to try Salt craft for our New Year’s Eve dinner. They had a special 3 course menu for the occasion. We were absolutely wowed! I had the crab salad to start which was delicious & my hubby had the pumpkin tagliatelle. His pasta was off the charts amazing! We both had the roasted Hawaiian swordfish and I do believe the sounds we made while eating were probably a bit obscene- it was cooked perfectly & tasted heavenly. I’m not a big risotto fan but the almond risotto was so good I couldn’t help but eat it. We both had the olive oil cake & lemon cream for dessert. Now my hubby isn’t much a sweets fan & didn’t care for it but I licked my plate-so yummy! We cannot wait to come back & try their daily fare. I’m also impressed that they use products from the tri-Valley area. I love that they are supporting local business & also cutting down on the cost & effect of outside transportation.
Hidden gem. Excellent service. Home cooking with fresh everything down to the fresh squeezed orange juice.
Wonderful experience, again ... love this place! Great food, and the patio has been winterized so very comfortable
We had a lovely dinner with friends and had a wonderful time. Our go to appetizers are the lamb pastrami and pork pate and duck fillets which are always delicious. Our roast duck and braised beef entrees were very tasty. We went on a cool winter night and the pop up was very cozy and comfortable, though the heater was a little loud. Overall, we had a terrific time. 🍷
I went with my friend for the first time for lunch on 12/21. I had made a reservation as it always seems buy. She had soup of the day (chili) and a salad and I had the soup and the smoked salmon on rye half sandwich. We enjoyed both out meals outside under the heat lamps, very comfortable.
The Braised Beef was extremely overpriced and the sodium level was off the chart. Completely inedible.
The ambiance has a lot to be desired. An outdoor atmosphere turned indoor with plastic drop walls and heaters. Maybe the breakfast is better but will never be back for dinner.
Attention is on quality and creative flair! A gem of chef owner restaurant with local charm. Lamb pastrami was mouth watering - mild flavor on homemade bread. Duck pasta is divine and delicate - a must. Salad was very fresh with light perfect dressing. Definitely worth a try.
Excellent quality of food and perfect portion sizes. It’s all outdoor seating but covered from ground up, and kept nice and warm with the heat lamps. I’m looking forward to wearing nice winter bling when dining. One of my new favorite spots.
Our first visit to Salt Craft was very enjoyable. This was at the beginning of December, and they have enclosed their patio seating and have pleanty of heaters, so we were very comfortable. The food was excellent and well portioned. Nice selection of Livermore wines as well as beers. We will definitely return, probably when they change their menu so that we can try some new items.
Great food and ambiance but meals should be priced individually as i payed $30 for a duck breast atop a piece of bread that i didnt eat. This was definitely not a complete meal and i feel i was cheated out of my money by it.
