Great food and impeccable service! Love this place!
Had a wonderful evening. We ordered several dishes and sampled many items and they were all delicious. No complaints. They even had a small jazz quartet playing. The place is small but the service was excellent.
Absolutely outstanding first experience at this restaurant. Service was outstanding, the sea bass was perfectly prepared with a delicious sauce, and the jazz live jazz music was a nice touch. Will definitely go back!
First time there. Had reservations for two on a Tuesday so it wasn’t overly busy. From the server to the drinks , meal, everything was excellent. Will definitely return to listen to some Jazz music on the weekend!
The food was amazing! Great variety. Ambiance was perfect, staff very friendly. Very clean. Food came out at a reasonable time frame. I would definitely go back. Compliments to the Chef
Johnny was amazing with service and recommendations. Definitely have the sea bass and the swordfish. Cocktails were legit...have a Muoscow Mule. The band was a nice touch and not too loud that you could hear yourself talk and played SUCH GOOD TUNES. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent fresh seafood seasoned to perfection so it doesn't cover up the flavor of the fish!! Restaurant week menu was wonderful and we're looking forward to returning to try the regular menu.
Tempura Shimp app was delicious
First time here, went for AZ Restaurant Week, will certainly be back!! Highly recommend.
Everything was delicious and perfect! Food, service, atmosphere; all top notch!
We enjoyed this place during restaurant week 2021. Definitely enjoyed the menu especially the Fennel Soup. Sue, our server, was amazing and truly added to our delightful experience including a great wine recommendation. Can't wait to go back.
very good seafood. our entire party was pleased with their meal. definitely will go again.
Went for Restaurant Week and really enjoyed the meal. Amazing presentation of the food and very nice portions. Good cocktail and wine selection. Great place for a date night. When the sun is down the outside dining area makes you feel like you are in Europe
The food was fabulous. We had the $44 restaurant week special and another entree and brought home leftovers! Poor service really dampened the evening. The speaker was too loud even for outside dining. Will try again just because I’d was so good.
Food was very good. Wait to be seated fast. Wait between being seated and served any food, over an hour. Had to ask for napkins and silverware.
The name of the restaurant is Sea and Smoke not Salt and Smoke as opentable has
Worst experience we have ever had at restaurant week. The manager/waiter/bartender was rude. They were out of one of the two appetizers that was offered during restaurant week and he refused to make any substitutions. We had a soup that had a piece of halibut in it and both of ours was completely raw. Then for an entrée I had the grouper and lo and behold that was completely raw as well. They did take my meal off of our bill but the whole thing was so awful and the people were so rude with one exception that I would never go back there.
The fried rice is amazing! The Rock Shrimp Tempura is nothing you've ever had before! Try both! The tacos are also the best fish tacos you'll have in your life.
Wanted to try Restaurant Week. There was no special menu or pricing - no mention of restaurant week We arrived 1/2 hr early (6PM), thinking we'd get a drink in the bar first. Hostess seated us immediately at a high-top, about 1 foot inside the entry door, within 3 feet of a 3-piece, live jazz band. We could not carry on a conversation as the band was vey loud. Music might be nice - we are both jazz fans and my husband plays in a band - but it should have started after the dinner hour, maybe 8:30 or 9PM, and been much quieter for the small space. We moved to the only other option - outside on the patio as the hostess said ALL the other tables nearer the rear of the restaurant were already reserved for the evening. We do not prefer outside seating - wind and bugs are annoying and we wanted a nice, relaxing meal. Luckily, no wind, lovely, mild weather, only a few flies and the bug bites didn't show up 'til the next day. There was an outdoor speaker with hip hop music playing in concert with the live music. Both could be heard clearly. We requested the outside music be turned off and it was however, it was turned back on at the live band's break. Definitely not our kind of music. We ate quickly and left as quickly as possible. My Prosecco was warm but drinkable. Had 4 different servers to start off the meal. LOVED that the first three were NOT wearing masks. I find masks unsettling. First one seemed annoyed. 2nd two were quick and nice. 4th person wore a mask and was unfortunately our main server. Hubby ordered filet, medium. Good flavor but it arrived rare - red, rubbery and bloody all the way through. I ordered swordfish but with the halibut sides as I have an allergy that could not handle the swordfish sides. I received halibut but it was fixed quickly. Swordfish was okay. Sides of lobster mashed potatoes and vegies were excellent. I became violently ill in the car on the way home and was sick all night into Sunday. Maybe too rich sauce??
Great trio for AZ Resturant week. It was amazing.
Nice little find in area called downtown Ocotillo. Very good food. Fried rice appetizer was excellent. Made it gluten free. Crab leg and halibut entrees were very good. Beautiful presentation and the hottest temperature wise I e had food come out in a long time. Crab legs were already sawed in half so easy to eat. Only negative was the mashed potatoes. Tasted like a box. Even the pre made grocery ones are better. Easy to fix. Will definitely return many times. Great prices. Excellent attentive service. Fun cocktails.
Great seafood restaurant in Ocotillo! Food was phenomenal.
Johnny was great so was (forgive me) I think her name was Cassie. Great service--attentive without be intrusive.
What excellent food and atmosphere in convenient Downtown Ocotillo! We started with a cocktail at Livingroom then walked through the hall into the connected Salt and Smoke for our dinner reservation. The service and fare was excellent with the perfect blend of flavor, seasoning and presentation. Dave and staff were very attentive made sure everyone had a great time. We can't wait to visit again.
Ambience was intimate and quiet. Service was impeccable. Positive, polite and professional. The food we had was exquisite. Our halibut and sea bass were perfectly grilled and quite tasty. The cost of the food was a bargain for the quality and quantity of food that you received.
It was a wonderful dining experience.
Love love love
We really enjoyed our dining experience. All staff was extremely friendly and on top of things. The lobster pot stickers were amazing definitely a must try. We had the halibut and the mahi mahi. The smoke flavor was wonderful and very tasty. The mahi mahi was a little over cooked so it was a bit dry for my taste. Desert we had the white chocolate macadamia bread pudding which was perfect. Portions are a good size. We were treated to live music that did not disappoint. Will be returning again soon to try out some more amazing dishes.
Always great food and outstanding service with a cozy atmosphere.
Nothing really special about it .
Tasty crab legs, lobster potstickers and great service
The food is the best in Chandler.
Excellent door and great service!
New spot in Chandler. Sea & Smoke has done a fantastic job at sourcing their menu items and preparing them in a way which is super delicious and deservers a repeat visit to try everything on the menu at least once.
Must tries: Calamari and Tacos. Amazing!
I had the Mahi-Mahi entree which was very light, no added sauces or anything yet super delicious. Our cocktails were also amazing and Johnny was willing to make us custom cocktails as well. I can't wait to go back and get some Tacos and other things.
My husband and I eat out often. We have eaten at Salt service, food, live music, ambiance, overall good vibes! We love this restaurant!
Our first time to this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. I had the halibut and my husband had swordfish. They both were amazing. We will be back.
Everything was great, the service, the atmosphere, the entertainment. The appetizer was excellent. We had the Halibut, it was dry, could have used more sauce. I don’t mind paying more for great food, but was disappointed in the dry Halibut. I will give it another try. Everyone deserves a second chance.
The service and the food were excellent! We dined with friends from out of state and everyone really liked the food and service. We will definitely be back!
Food great and servers were great. New addition music that was great.
Been there twice and both times were wonderful...food, service GREAT!
Great experience. Second time there. We will be back.
First, let me say the food was quite good. A bit pricey but it is seafood. My husband had the sea bass and I had the king crab legs. We shared the lobster potstickers.
Everyone who we interacted with was friendly and professional. Our needs were met without being asked as multiple staff attend to the tables.
As it was Saturday, they had a young singer and a keyboard player. Not necessary, but not loud enough to be invasive, depending on where you sit.
Now, the downsides: It's very dark - I couldn't even see what was what on my plate. I kept getting bits of crab shell mixed in with my rice pilaf as I couldn't see the plate well enough. Ambience is one thing, but I would like to see what I'm eating. Thank goodness for flashlights on cellphones to read the menu! Second, no one on the staff is masked. No social distancing. Yes, I do understand the mandate is lifted, but so far this is the first restaurant we've been to where they have chosen to go maskless. The problem is that if you sit at a high top, the server is literally a foot from your face, so I felt very uncomfortable. I just had my second covid shot, so I'm not fully protected yet. I tried to put my mask on when they came to the table. For the safety of all, it's a bonus when a restaurant chooses to have their staff mask up for the next few months when many more people will be vaccinated.
Lastly, the wine list is so-so, which surprised us. As it's a bit of an upscale place, we expected better options.
We would possibly give it another try down the road, unless another seafood place opens up in the south Chandler or Gilbert area.
