The people at Salt & Iron were warm and very helpful. The food is fabulous as were the specialty drinks. The chowder is generous and chunky full of seafood. At our table the seafood risotto was delicious. The interior is beautiful white painted woodwork with pretty lighting and candlelight. Also some sidewalk seating.

Salt and Iron is always a great dining experience! The service, the food and drinks are always spot on. The seasonal drink “Watermelon Crawl” is delicious and the reason I dine there frequently during the summer!

Food was good, very rich. Didn’t come out piping hot, it was lukewarm at best. The mimosa bucket is the best bang for your buck if you plan to order more than 3-4. Service was outstanding- present, yet non obtrusive.

5 Stars — A Fantastic Seafood & Steak Experience in Edmonds We had an outstanding dinner at Salt & Iron for a family gathering of four. Every dish we ordered was excellent, starting with three varieties of fresh oysters served simply with lemon and pink Himalayan salt — a perfect start. For appetizers, we shared the octopus, tuna tartare, Dungeness crab cakes, and seafood chowder. Each one was beautifully prepared and ideal for sharing. The octopus was tender, the tartare fresh and bright, and the crab cakes packed with flavor. For entrées, we split the surf and turf and the beef short ribs. The short ribs in particular were a standout — fall-apart tender with an incredible Asian-inspired glaze that balanced sweet, savory, and umami flavors perfectly. Portions for both entrées were generous and left us completely satisfied. Service was equally impressive. Tristan, our server, was attentive, polite, and professional throughout the evening, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. The atmosphere is lively yet relaxed, and it’s clear the kitchen takes pride in both their seafood and meat offerings. We’ll definitely be back again — highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal in Edmonds.

One of the best meals I've had in years! From the cocktails, delicious bread service, and amazing entrees to the superb desserts, our anniversary meal was spectacular from start to finish. I had a Lemon Drop, Steak Frites with the Filet Mignon, and Coffee Creme Brulee for dessert. My husband had an IPA, the Duck Breast, and Chocolate Cake for dessert. All was delicious, but the biggest surprises for me were the bread service (black pepper and chive rolls glazed in butter - delicious!) and the aioli served with my fries, which was heavenly. This was our first time at Salt & Iron, and most definitely won't be our last.
