Salt & Iron's dining room designed by visionary firm Inspired Interiors of Edmonds, brings a brighter and more welcoming dining atmosphere to the Downtown core. It's located just a short walk from the Kingston Ferry and the iconic Edmonds Fountain, where the Edmonds Farmers' Market and the Edmonds Art Walk take place. Unfortunately our experience wasn't very good. Our seafood dish had dust at the bottom of the plate due to clams not being cleaned and washed properly.
Presentation was not as good as the first time.
Food is outstanding! Service is great. They made an error with one of our orders but immediately replace it. The Salt & Iron dishes are huge! Be ready to eat a lot or take home for the next day. We only wish that we were warned about the large servings we may have ordered less...
We made reservations for Sunday Brunch and wanted to eat outside. We didn't expect to have heaters at our table so that was totally a bonus. We also didn't expect the outside structures to be so weather friendly. This was our first time visiting Salt & Iron, mostly because of Covid. We are making plans to return and have talked about the 5 course special with wine pairings.
Great brunch. Heaters at each outdoor table and dividers between all tables
Absolutely amazing! I will have dreams about eating the octopus and the steak. Literally salivating while writing this
Took my 16 yr old daughter there for dinner on Saturday night and enjoyed two solid seafood meals. She even tried oysters and loved them. Table heaters outside worked great for us.
Salt and Iron is making the best out of a crazy situation. We sat outside and were perfectly comfortable since there are heaters on the table. We had the seafood pot and it was absolutely delicious.
Absolutely perfect! The staff was very nice and accommodating, the food and drinks were delicious, and the waitress Isabel was super helpful
Ordered the prix fixe menu. 5 wonderful courses. Scratch made food. Fresh and quality ingredients. Superb service. Divine experience.
Always love Salt great group overall, wonderful service. Dog-Friendly outside!
Menu has changed, and it is good to see some carryover classics such as the steak frites with an amazing Demi Glacé I could drink, and steak salad. But it is also fun to see the chef experiment with newness. That's so important to have in a small town, and keeps us coming back. I would still love to see the mini corn dogs reappear one day, as well as the hot fried chicken sandwich, which is the best thing I have ever had!
We went on a quiet, cold night and sat outside with heaters since that is our comfort level, and our dog spent many happy minutes foraging on the ground. She had a brief, ill-behaved seat on the bench at one point, and was very happy watching everyone in the restaurant. During these times that's as good of an outing as we can hope for! A little happiness.
Great service and food. The restraurant itself isnt particularly fancy and has a more casual vibe.
Valentine’s Day dinner, great service as usual, outstanding food. Set menu price could be considered higher per person ($99/p) but we thought it was well worth the quality and experience.
Fabulous would you back again
Sarah was amazing, we felt safe and the food was delicious.
Everything was so good. We didn’t feel like they made us hurry. They made suggestions and it was wonderful
Food and drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I'd recommend Salt & Iron to anyone looking for a lovely evening.
We went there for valentines day and they have a special menu for the night. They food was amazing. Everything was well crafted. So much thought and care went into the valentines day menu. Everything was perfect.
There food is always amazing.
The food was beautiful and so incredibly delicious and the service was impeccable!
Stella was great and accommodated our every request. The food was delicious.
Cute little steak and seafood spot in Edmonds!
The chowder was really good and I know my family loved the petite steak option.
Friend’s birthday. It was lovely and delicious 🙂
Long wait for alcoholic drinks
No avocado on burger when ordered
Food slightly cold
Always delightful and playful menu, and open for service during these difficult times. Thanks again to all staff/ownership!
Love this place. We always feel
Like it’s run by a pro staff.
Glad to see the dinning room open again.
Did wish the waiter told us about some of the limited selection before we ordered our favorite seafood pot. But we totally understand. It’s been a roller coaster for these companies and we appreciate the amazing effort to feed us and provide an dinning experience that we come back for over and over.
Fantastic!
It was special because Inslee declared it could be open. The food was great and personnel were kind and considerate.
Love this place! Never had a marginal meal here...ever! Everything is top notch, in my opinion. The chowder can’t be beat.
Everything was on point. The oysters, calamari and octopus appetizers were phenomenal. The seafood chowder was one of the best ever. The filet with scallops and shrimp, fried chicken, and seafood pot were all fantastic. They nailed every point of the evening. The cocktails were great, and the wine by the glass selection spot on. Will be back soon!
Great service, great food - very clean and good covid protocols in place! 10/10 recommend Salt & Iron!
Great food
While a bit high priced, the food was excellent. We also appreciated the barriers between tables and the adequate spacing. We have been very nervous about eating inside in restaurants, but we felt fine in this case. It was a very pleasant experience.
Great bar, friendly service, and unique menu options!
Clean, neat, minimalist decor. Fantastic food. Terrific customer service. The seafood pot, scallops w/ squid ink risotto, tartare & bone marrow were favorites and considered "one of the best meals ever" by this party!
Food was delicious and our server was patient and attentive.
Main seating area seemed noisy .
Our final seating was quieter but space seemed chilly .....possibly part of COVID precautions the restaurant was observing carefully.
Nice to have a restaurant of this caliber in Edmonds sice Seattle has turned into such a.... well you know.
Service is always fantastic & the food is perfect ♥️
Place is the balls
My husband’s birthday
We drive from Renton for this restaurant. Our server was helpful with all our questions. Food is excellent.
Had a last minute kid-free night, so date night at Salt & Iron. Happy to get early reservations on a Friday night during COVID.
