Just love this place. Everything on the menu is amazing. Stay strong S&I. We hope this shutdown ends soon.
Everything was just amazing! Oysters were super fresh and delicious!
My husband and I took his parents to Salt & Iron as a Christmas gift and had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing as well as the service. We highly recommend Salt & Iron!
The food is always good! Whenever someone mentions brunch, I always bring up Salt & Iron!
Excellent service !! Food was fabulous definitely would go again !!
Another fantastic meal! The service was excellent, especially Pat. We will definitely be back!
The filet was tough, my grits were barely warm. Overall I think it is overpriced for what you get. The salad’s were nice and the oyster gratin was very good.
Food quality not commensurate to pricing. Some food was good (i.e. prawns), while most was not very good (i.e. grilled octopus under cooked and very chewy).
Great food, ambiance, wonderful service. Would recommend.
Superb service from our waitress very attentive!
Over priced but good
LOVE salt and iron, another great restaurant from Mira and Shu. Great night with girlfriends, food was AMAZING
Love this place!
The food and service were very good at Salt & Iron. I took my sister to celebrate her birthday. It was perfect for this occasion.
Incredible!! We love this place - the food is outstanding and you can't go wrong with anything. Good wine selection and service is always solid.
Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Delicious. Great Service.
There were two other 4 tops that were better situated but was given a seat right in front of the kitchen. Everything was very salty (steak tartare, bone in ribeye, burger), the steak was ordered 'med rare' but was delivered 'well'. The tartare had some really good flavors going on but was very salty and masked any flavor from the steak. Definitly see potential but might give it a few months before trying again. The server was very nice and was able to fix some of our issue and was professional. Hoping the salt content was just a fluke but I suppose it's in the name? We shall see!
You can always depend on Salt & Iron for first class service and a menu that will please most everyone. Food is meticulously prepared and (unlike Seattle) you get large servings that satisfy your appetite.
The lunch menu is interesting; the food was good but not great (e.g. sandwich bread too thick and crusty, chowder too bland). We had friendly and excellent service. Tables are closely spaced and it got noisy when full of diners. Because S & I was highly recommended, the food fell short of expectations, but still a pleasant place for lunch.
Too loud and too expensive. Strange policy of charging an additional 3% on everything which is not gratuity. Entrées are way too expensive.
Consistently excellent food and service.
Came for the salt and iron, and left filled with the best they have to offer. My only regret was not getting more oysters, because they were so delicious! We will absolutely be back!
Brunch was so delicious!!
Second time to Salt & Iron for brunch. As it was the first time, it was again delicious. Great service. Wonderful food. Excellent choices. Highly recommend.
The valentines menu last year offered choices. This year it was a fixed menu with no choices. 1 oyster / not even a simple green salad. It was chick peas over ice burg. The squid ink was nasty. The pasta dish was good. The steak had very little if any crab on it. The dessert was OK. Meal for 2 for $250.00 I would expect more value. Last year was great this year very disappointing Will not be coming back....
Valentine's menu highly over priced, very limited selection and just not that good.
The food was great except the squid ink calamari with saffron aioli? Something was not quite right, but the rest was great. Service was excellent. Restaurant decor was strange. Not sure what they were going for, but if you want a great dinner and can afford it Salt & Iron is great.
I love this restaurant. We went there for 14th of February though, so they had a special menu, which was a bit overpriced, but food was good and interesting. As always, service was outstanding.
I had to wait 30 minutes for someone to take our order, and only after I became vocally frustrated, someone came to the table. It took 30 minutes for the food to come out. Three of us had ordered steaks. All 3 came out cold. I sent it back immediately, another of my guests followed. The third didn’t want to wait so ate his steak cold. I was celebrating my 30th birthday and this was first time at salt and iron and many people in the community have told me how wonderful it is. Sadly that was not my experience and I will most likely not be returning. In addition to everything that happened their chairs are VERY uncomfortable. I would not recommend this restaurant to any friends or colleagues.
Flat iron steak with a side of cheesy grits was an excellent choice, so was her Black Cod with risotto. Been here quite a few times and will continue to return on a regular basis. Oysters and other outstanding grub in downtown Edmonds.
As always, the food is outstanding (we ordered 2 breakfast items), and the service is prompt and friendly. Seats are hard so if that is an issue I recommend bringing a cushion. Also, the noise level can be very high depending on where you are sitting.
