Salt & Iron
Clams & mussels had a flavorful broth, but too salty. The grilled como bread that it came with was so yummy! Perfect amount of char, crispy edges, soft interior.
Steak sliders were good, but the fried onions were kind of soft, soggy, not crispy.
Steak salad was delicious with the perfect amount of dressing, but again, the fried onions were not crispy.
Seafood chowder was excellent, flavorful, not too salty.
Chicken wings were good. Large wings.
Deconstructed tiramisu looked pretty but didn't taste good. Cake was dry & bland. The macaron was yummy. This dessert was trying too hard. Didn't really match the restaurant. I just wanted a good old satisfying toothsome moist tiramusu - not some tiny pieces of cake topped with a caramelized sugar wafer with pretty looking swirls of chocolate syrup.
We had a wonderful dining experience at salt and iron. The service was excellent and every one of our meals was absolutely delicious. The drinks were awesome as well. It was our friends birthday and they brought her a special birthday dessert. We also had a dessert trio that was out of this world. Would highly recommend this restaurant, it was fabulous
Food and service was wonderful. Our steak was a perfect medium rare, and everything was delicious.
The only bummer was being seated right next to a large group, which made it hard for my partner and I to hear each other during our valentine’s dinner. Not a huge deal, but it was loud.
We go to Salt and Iron a lot for breakfast, but will probably not do a romantic dinner here again.
Fabulous food and service.
Chad our waiter was awesome! He made everything perfect for my wife and I on Valentine’s Day. Thank you Chad!
Valentines Day dinner...Amazing!
An excellent restaurant downtown Edmonds. Very knowledgeable waitstaff. Our waiter recommended which of the 5 or 6 oysters would be best. The bartender knows what he/she is doing and the food was outstanding. I had a hanger steak with a risotto side and my wife just a salad. Nice wine list, just nice all around.
Crab salad was wonderful. The wine selection is outstanding! The herbed frites are amazing!
another fabulous meal with outstanding service. Went with a party of 3 & we shared the pear/fig salad & beet salad both outstanding & the cod/scallop entrees. All delicious. We will all return.
Outstanding brunch! Service attentive but not invasive, food timely and all delicious. We will be back often.
Service was terrific. Had a very attentive waiter. Food was just ok-not sure worth the price.
Excellent food and service. It is nice to have another nice restaurant in Edmonds to go too. Our friends from Mercer Island were impressed.
Everything was excellent, food, service, location!
Loved the food. The only problem I had was getting sat at the smallest table in the bar next to the bathroom when I had reservations. It was like I was forgotten about. Made my aniversy dinner less special.
This was our second visit to this restaurant and found them to be very accommodating as we were able to visit with several friends who stopped by for a drink and bite, while we stayed about 4 hours or so. Everyone was so very nice...as though we were visiting in someone's home. Well done.
My sister was particularly impressed with the manner in which tables were cleaned and setup. The proper handling of utensils, etc. was as we would were we were in our own homes. This is a true compliment.
We love our Saturday breakfast at the Salt and Iron. Rebecca, Lily, and Maddie are the best at making us feel at home.
We had an excellent experience here last Friday. We had a wonderful waiter with a fabulous sense of humor. He was very attentive and helpful in choosing our dining entree options. We really enjoyed ourselves, and will definitely return.
Seafood chowder and 4 oz filet with potatoes were great! Tried the pomegranate bread and it wasn’t impressive. New male trainee waited on us and did a nice job. Don’t think he told us his name though!
One of the most amazing service and gastronomic experiences I have had. If you have not tried Salt & Iron, you owe it to yourself to do so. The seafood chowder is something to be savored and is second to none! Everything for this celebration night out was absolutely perfect. 5 Star in my book and we will be back again and again.
Most restaurants are too noisy for comfortable conversation, this was one of them. Other than that, it’s excellent
The food was great, the service was very good. Would love to come and eat appetizers
This restaurant is constantly amazing. We are vegan and they adjust anything. The service is excellent no matter how busy they are and we love it.
Great brunch, with reasonable prices!
Steaks were excellent. Very tender. Mash potatoes were a little runny
Found it interesting for a place named Salt & Iron you had to ask for salt, not on the table.
I took my dad out for dinner just to spoil him and I’m so glad I chose this place. It was nice getting to treat him to a wonderful dinner. The food was great. The ambiance was great and our server was really nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice sit down for any occassion.
This was my second visit to Salt and Iron. I liked the food better my last visit but was sitting a better table this time. The food needed to be hotter.
The food and service were very good. Thank you for a good birthday lunch.
Wonderful space. Loved the menu and and everything we ordered. Exceptional drinks.
Was not impressed with anything here. Service was slow (at 5:00), ambience was cold and unwelcoming. Husband had a very good ribeye, but it cost $76. I had scallops with risotto - it was very bland and overpriced. Would not recommend. Other people seem to have had a different experience.....
My husband and I keep returning to Salt and Iron and are never disappointed. The food is amazing and the ! atmosphere, particularly in the back room near the bar, is cozy and warm. On this visit, we were seated near the door and I should have asked to move to a warmer spot!
Spent a wonderful New Years Eve at Salt & Iron. The food was delicious and memorable, and the staff were attentive and communicative. Can’t wait to go back.
This is one of our very favorite restaurants in Edmonds. They serve consistently wonderful food and drinks, excellent service, and the New Year's Eve menu was superb. They are equally versed in iron (perfect steaks) and salt (fish and oysters, especially). Perfect for a special occasion, but also good for Sunday brunch.
Our dinner at Salt & Iron was wonderful. The greeters were friendly and upbeat. The wait staff was knowledgeable and responsive -- not cold, not overly friendly -- just right. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the baked oysters. We would definitely come again, and recommend this place to our friends.
Wonderful food! Great server! Amazing prices! Perfect recommendations by our server! Delicious drinks! Local and convenient location!
For the price, you expect something better. Not that it was bad, but for the $$ price tag, you expect perfection. The steaks were under salted, and the cook of the scallops (sear) was underwhelming. Drinks were amazing, and the service was fine. I think there are better restaurants in the NW that have better food and value.
Amazing service and food.
Delicious meal with great friends! Will definitely dine here again!
This place never disappoints. The service is top shelf and they really make you feel at home. The service is genuine and comfortable, not forced. The food is simple, good and they pay attention to the details.
Salt and Iron continues to deliver with varied and high quality dishes along with prompt and attentive service, without being overbearing.
