Our weekend brunches (Saturday & Sunday daytime) are legendary, with props in The Guardian, Time Out and Harpers Bazaar to name just a few!
We have a bar space downstairs where we serve cocktails, natural wines, beers and snacks.
Upstairs in our Dining Room we offer a 4-course Set Menu and a 7-course Extended Menu, please specify on your booking if you would like the Extended Menu.
Amazing food and great service, will definitely be back.
Consistently great, innovative and interesting and the staff at the Salon always work really hard to accommodate my wife food allergies.
We attend Salon several times a year and are always so impressed with the quality of the food. We love that the menu is seasonal and changes and that it is also incredible reasonably priced.
Delicious food and wine as always, thanks so much guys!
A limited range of well considered and often ambitious dishes in an intimate hideaway. Well worth a try if you're in the area.
We had dinner downstairs at the a la carte. Great food and even better (relaxed/ attentive) service. Nice little gem this.
Seriously good cooking. Imaginative and thoughtful combinations. The Montepulciano with the venison (with the croquettes are seriously yummy) is a good fit.We all had the lunch time menu and look forward to an evening feast. Particular thanks to the manageress who was extremely personable and the service overall which was just the right blend of friendliness combined with more than a passing knowledge of the food and especially the somewhat unusual wine list.
I would recommend them for their tapas menu and sitting downstairs for drinks but not the set menu upstairs.
Seasonal British delicious food with attentive service a great wine list and a cosy atmosphere right in the heart of Brixton. Love love loved this place on our anniversary- will definitely be back!
Really great customer service, very chatty and attentive. Ambience very nice - light music but very calm.
Really outstanding food and delightful service. Highly recommended.
Food worth every penny- go for the 7 course tasting menu. Drinks quite expensive- watch out.
A treat for my step-dads 70th birthday, couldn't have asked for more! An ex-chef with high standards, even he was gushing about the quality of the food. Matt made them both feel so welcome and special and I can't thank you enough for that. They said its an experience they'll never forget.
What a lovely restaurant! GREAT food and amazing service. Knowledgeable and very friendly. I reckon there's a Michelin star arriving soon. The Confit Potatoes with Anchovy aioli is a MUST. Top of my list now.
Incredibly delicious food, great service super quick for such tasty food! The staff were all very nice and welcoming also they were all smiling :) - thank you for a lovely meal x
Salon is one of the very best restaurants in London and one of my favourites. You can always be assured of a warm welcome, the service is terrific and the food is outstanding!
We had a fantastic experience, the attention to detail, quality of food and the knowledge of the team was amazing. Would go back in a heart beat
Superb evening. The staff were excellent in their attention. Great descriptions of the food, really livened up the experience! Amazing flavours. Definitely the highlight of Brixton these days.
Food and service fantastic. They kindly accommodate the dietary requirements of my friend and the late arrival of my brother. The restaurant is small so ask for a table at the back of the room to avoid being on the way to the bathroom.
Fun, fast, confident service. Spectacular food and great wine. Only downside, was the waiter speaking to quickly when explaining the dishes! Otherwise, faultless.
Delicious food, although very small portions. Friendliest ever staff. Very accommodating to dietary requirements.
Great place and food but at circa £100 per head for pre drink, basic set menu and wines too expensive compared to other options
Nice food slightly over priced but comparable to other restaurants in the area. Friendly staff. I Would defnitely
I think the food is great but the service downstairs is really bad. They made us feel unwelcome and were unhelpful when telling us what they had run out of. The pasta we ordered was tiny - it was like they had spread two serves across four bowls for us. About 4 mouthfuls (I had to get food after dinner from elsewhere). I do think it is strange to run out of tagliatelle on pasta night but there you go. I’ve been upstairs before and it was great but this experience downstairs wasn’t.
Delicious food, great service. Little hen in Brixton. : )
Fabulous place for special occasions! Great service and delicious food.
Top quality food from the tiny kitchen at Salon. Sweetcorn and duck heart a particular highlight, the Nduja croquettes a close second - or maybe the crab and cucumber. Whichever way round, it was really enjoyable - made even more enjoyable by some wonderful staff who made my little boy feel super welcome and part of the experience. A little too part as he tried to scoff my crab. No chance mate. Will be back soon without the child to make the most of the wine list next time!
The food was amazing! So well presented and great quality food. We had the set menu on Sunday which was perfect if you can't decide what to have because everything sounds delicious!
Salon is one of those restaurants that surprises. In the middle of Brixton market which has many places to eat but this one stands out as a special place. Not cheap for the extended tasting menu (i.e. expensive for Brixton but cheap for anywhere else in London). But it is well worth it and do choose the wines to match - lots of interest and they really do pair. Our favourite dish was the beans.
We had our date night here and had a delightful evening. From extremely pleasant and knowledgable staff to a tasty tasting menu with some unusual but delicious wines, Salon ticked all the boxes. We shall be back to try the extended menu!
Salon is v v special indeed. We don't know the neighborhood so it was a bit difficult to find but well worth seeking out. The adjoining wine shop is top notch as well.
Yes but I think the staff need to be more attentive
Honestly that crab dish was right up there. Worth special mention. Thanks!
Salon is definitely a great choice for brunch. I had a great time. Super nice staff, quick service, amazing food.
Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
Brilliant restaurant. Food is great and menu intuitive.
Superb food, great concept, friendly staff - thoroughly recommend it
Such a great dinner - delicious food and an inventive menu. The staff were lovely too!
The restaurant is beautiful and feels busy and exciting. Immediately when you walk in it feels special.
I visited with my partner as we had heard very good things. As we entered we were excited and were immediately wowed by the service and introduction to the menu/restaurant. The food was clever, fresh and delicious. Starting with a tomato and basil gazpacho followed by a crab and peach dish. I was excited to see what was next. I hadn’t spent much time looking at the menu as it was set and I had no dietary requirements.
Generally the food was great, ideally I would have appreciated a little more care from the waitress explaining the food as it wasn’t busy and she seemed very quick to disappear when putting down the food. I had to keep asking her to repeat what she had said before leaving and she would rush and tail off as if not quite sure about the ingredients.
The main came and me and my partner had opted for one meat, one veggie to try the whole menu. Sadly the meat dish had been very over cooked. This hadn’t been such a problem until the bill came and I noticed despite it being a ‘set menu @£39’ the meat option was £6 more. When I asked the waitress said ‘oh yes we get that a lot, it probably should’ve been more clear’. Considering there is two options for anyone dining I felt this could have easily been highlighted when explaining the menu. The service at this point had become pretty poor. It Was a shame as it had started so well. In the defence of the staff it was very hot and we were struggling just sitting down.
On the whole I felt a little disappointed when we left. Partly because the staff had gone from welcoming to really not that fussed/rude. I would suggest this place to a friend who wanted to impress someone with the appearance of the place but generally it won’t be going down on my list of special places, I wouldn’t return.
Overall it was £120 for two people with a bottle of wine to share. Wine wasn’t great at all @£25
My second visit. We opted for the tasting menu with matching wines. Overall £85 each but I feel it’s a great experience. Not something I would do everyday but still a good experience. Wines matched very well with the food.
