   First off that Huckleberry BBQ sauce is on point!! Had the Kobe beef cheeseburger and added the Huckleberry BBQ and it was a great decision!! My fiancé had the Elk cheeseburger and she said it was beyond good!! Very helpful staff for sure! I had a problem with my reservation and they were quick to fix it!! Highly recommend this fine establishment!!

    We had so much fun with kids and GKids even though it was 5 degrees! The ‘Igloo’ is perfect for winter adventures and our server (Kristen?) Was over the top! Dress warm!:))

    Dining in an outside igloo has become a holiday tradition for us. It’s so nice to have just your family in the igloo and be able to have conversation without having to talk over other patrons. The staff makes the whole experience so incredible and delivers your drinks and food through the ice and snow with a smile. The igloo can be a bit chilly but that’s part of the experience right?!? Our grandkids love it and so do we. Thank you Salmon River for another magical evening!

    First time here - will be our new go-to place for dining in McCall. Server was prompt, attentive , & energetic . Food portions were large. Menu had lots of options. Value was great! Tasty food & fun atmosphere.

    Nice varied menu, great beers. Service is a little slow and getting what you ask for once dinner arrives is a slow process. The servers did not seem rushed or too busy, but seem to take their time performing their jobs. Having a reservation is a huge plus especially in the summer season. Take heed if you want to eat here.

    The food was expensive for what we received. We sat on the rooftop, which is not full service. My husband had a Kobe/elk mixed burger which was supposed to be medium, it came out well-done. It was a $24 burger that he did not enjoy. Because the service had been difficult up to that point we didn’t bother saying anything.

    Generally reliable pub fare and a nice selection of draft beers. Outside deck and rooftop decks offer lake views. What is difficult to understand is their draconian reservation cancellation policy. $25 A PERSON if headcount is short or date cutoff is missed. This is pub food not 5 star fine dining. Not even Chandlers in Boise or The Narrows in McCall impose this variety of penalty. It seems that summer walk in traffic is high. Heard the host desk tell a party of 4 at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday that the wait was 90 minutes and there was a line behind them. I can understand that they want to have their kitchen readiness match the demand but with so much demand, revenue from a missed res seems very likely to be covered. I am not suggesting that restaurants should not ask for an advance credit card or impose some kind of penalty for no shows but the current policy does not encourage reservations, which I would think is counter to business interests. And yes, I know that there are a lot of inconsiderate people out there that book and are not serious, but really?

    Our server was absolutely amazing and she did such a great job, the hostess not so much. One of my biggest annoyances is when you have guests standing in front of you waiting to check in and you continue to carry on a conversation with someone else and ignore the once trying to check in. The food was pretty good, standard and similar to McCall Brewery but the roof top seating is where it is at.

    It is very seldom that our family is all together but when we are Salmon River Brewery is our go-to place in McCall. From winter dining in their outdoor igloos to summer dining on their gorgeous deck overlooking Payette Lake they can’t be beat. With reservations through Open Table we are always seated promptly and served with expediency. The wait staff is always helpful and friendly and the food is good pub food. We’ve been customers of Salmon River from their beginning days in the old house where all the food was cooked in the outdoor patio. We do miss though days but have grown to appreciate the “new” Salmon River Brewery in its own special way. Thank you for a great evening-

    Great cheese curds and we really enjoyed the fried pickles. The chicken sandwiches were great, as were the French fries. Please avoid the tuna tower, as it was frozen… Great service and overall very enjoyable!

    Great lake views from tables on the patio. We ate there two nights and had great service on both nights. Best part if you are parebt if a chold eith good alletgies; my daughter with peanut & tree nut allergies safely ate chicken strips, chrese pizza snd vanilla ice cream- this is a huge win & relief whrn traveling.

    Unfortunately, the weakest meal we had on our long McCall weekend. Maybe it was an off day, but it didn't seem like they were using the best ingredients or recipes. Salads were dry, dressings and soups watery. Hopefully they will up their game in the future.
