The food at Sally’s was amazing. We both had swordfish which was as good as it gets.
It was a pretty good lunch, but not as great as I would have expected for the money and reputation. Has potential for a great view, unless you are placed at a table towards the back of the patio, closer to the exit than the waterfront like I was.
I was so impressed by the food here. We had a group of 6 dine here several times during a conference and the food was simply delicious and the views unparalleled. Service was also great. My food was delicious, I had the seafood Cobb, the shrimp cocktail and the octopus- all terrific!!
Tis is the first time I have been disappointed. The lobster roll was tasteless.
And my waiter Steve was not very attentive or friendly.
I believe he was unhappy that I ws a single dinner
Excellent lazy weekend lunch! Great food! Perfect customer service to keep drinks flowing! Excellent seafood presentation and quality!
Food was great. I had the surf and turf and my husband got the swordfish , both were very tasty. Service was on the slow side, it took a while to get our food and a long time to get our check. Other than that the atmosphere is wonderful .
Our longtime server, Francisco, always ensures a great dining experience.
We always try to bring family from the east coast here-they are never disappointed.
Considering the 5 star location, food prices are reasonable.
Great sushi and great views! Will definitely come back when we're in san diego!
On a recent visit to San Diego this was one of our "had to get to" restaurants. However, we were disappointed with the oysters as they were very creamy and the taste was not appetizing. Although the main meal of filet mignon and lobster was better. It did seem that some of the vibe from prior visits was missing but that could be said for the whole of Seaport Village. Our server was prompt and attentive but we just couldn't get over that first impression of the oysters. Unfortunately, as one of our favorite places to dine I couldn't recommend to friends or family.
Great food - highly recommend the sea bass with linguine & mushrooms! Oysters with soy & wasabi were a new taste sensation for me and the deconstructed cheesecake was a nice finish. Also good wines by the glass. Ate here twice in one week - service & food were consistently good.
We really enjoyed the atmosphere. Had a amazing view outside overlooking the bay. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic!
The food and view were just perfect. I had the sea bass fish and chips and I must say the best fish and chips I have ever had!! We brought our dogs and and sat on the patio with the beautiful view. The doggie menu was a hit with our dogs and at other restaurants our dogs did not like the food. They gobbled this up (chicken salmon and rice). Great dining experience.
Great atmosphere. I will thinking of bringing my dog as they said the place was dog-friendly but now that I went there one, I will bring my dog next time to enjoy the outdoor view and people walking by along the boardwalk.
Excellent food and service. Nice ambiance
The food was outstanding!! Great value - better than what we had the night before in the gas lamp district
Excellent service. Food presentation top notch though didn’t taste as good as I remember it. Music a little loud.
This place was great, but the very weird, somewhat loud, spacey-techno-euro-hybrid “music” coming from all of the outdoor speakers was very distracting and detracted from what otherwise would have been an over-all 4 star rating. Out door seating and lounge areas were great, not to mention the food! I personally would not go back though, because the “music” was so strange, loud and annoying.
My boyfriend and I went here to celebrate our two year anniversary. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our server even surprised us with a dessert for our anniversary. It was very special.
We wanted a waterfront experience with a menu that could please a 14 year old and adults. We opted for a few apps (buffalo style cauliflower was our favorite item) and sushi. Service was great. Our server was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Loved the personable service.
Quite pricey but the food was really good and the location is great. The service was also strong. We sat on the patio with our two dogs. Loved the sea bass dish. Crab cakes and the shrimp cocktail were also very good. The sushi roll was fine, I can’t remember which one we got. And best of all, they have a dog menu! The pups were very happy with their meal.
Enjoyed fascinating bayside marina views and creative seafood preparation. Crab cakes were excellent and the sea bass was perfectly cooked.
We Arrived there a lil early to take advantage of the happy hour but could not get anyone to wait on us
So we let them know about this as they seated us and they promptly remeded this by a complimentary round of drinks on them. The service was wonderful and our server Mandy was great ! Food was delicious and plentiful ! They knew it was mu birthday and they had a lil dessert that said Happy Birthday! We were too stuffed to order
Always good, great service, wonderful food, Oceanside dining. We were accompanied by friends visiting from the UK, the lunch was much enjoyed.
Slow service and cold food.... coupled with the restaurant being in fact within a major hotel was a very disappointing experience.... the venue/view did not make up for the cost, poor service and cold food
My family and I’ve been coming to Sally’s for years. This by far was the most horrific experience I’ve ever had at Sally’s. The food was mediocre and the portion size was puny for the price. The background music was horrible repetitive and way too loud and annoying. Perhaps the intention was to get people to eat in a hurry and get the hell out of the restaurant. The service was OK and when it came to paying, there was a 20 minute delay which sent us to the register to present our check so we could finally leave the torment of the noise.. We were informed that they had a new computer program at the register which resulted in a 20 minute delay before we could actually pay and leave. We had requested a table with a water view which we had-yet the last time I was at Sally’s they didn’t have this glass partition which held in the heat and noise. There were diners at a table 2 away from us that were screeching, and incredibly loud and drunk. Sure they were entitled to have a good time but the sound , it just echoed horribly, and magnified the noise. (No, I’m not 80 years old).
It makes me sad to see the decline in this restaurant . I had planned on calling and asking to speak to the manager this week to report this experience but instead since OpenTable asked me what I thought – there you go.
Sallys is such a top option that I keep going back. Love the new Samurai roll!
Great location - food is good need more variety
Ate here while on a little get away with the family. The service was amazing and food great. I would recommend eating here for any occasion.
Excellent service , A + food , elegant as promised . We had brunch and it was amazing !
The sushi was off.. it tasted like Supermarket sushi, the charcuterie board was delicious. Our service wasn’t great, mainly because they were busy on 1 big table, we were a party of 5. Beautiful setting, but the food definitely lacked.
One of the loveliest harborfront restaurants in San Diego, but the service was really spotty (you'd think when people want to order MORE oysters, the server would be right there, wouldn't you?) and the restaurant was SO cold that we shivered through our meal. Even the hot items were cold within a few minutes (and when drawn butter hardens, it's not drawn butter anymore, nor should clam chowder be served at vichysoisse temperature!), and it was obvious that some of the seafood had been frozen prior to cooking. It wasn't bad by any means, but the most memorable thing about the meal was the frigid temperature. With so many great seafood restaurants in San Diego (try Anthony's Seafood Grotto), if you're just visiting, don't bother with this one.
I've dined at Sally's many times for business dinners and have never been disappointed.. great menu, excellent service and terrific view..
Delicious food—excellent service—just really hot under those blue umbrellas outside on the patio—especially with the glass walls—maybe fans and some misters in summer? Our waiter Juan was terrific!!
Food was average and not what was expected. Servers were busy so the service was sub par. View and ambiance on the water was nice and there’s a cute wine tasting room near by that made up for the dining experience.
Visited after poor interior renovation. Quality of food far to prior years. Sad to say will not come back in the future
The four of us all had fish. The fish was very good and fresh tasting. Unfortunately the asparagus and sun dried tomatoes were inedible. (Not cooked enough and hard to chew.)
We were visiting San Diego and lodged at the Hyatt. Sally’s Fish House is s casual stroll past the shops at the Hyatt. The service, ambiance and seafood were all on point. Loved the clam chowder and the small seafood tower was more than enough for two. The seafood was fresh and delicious. I am looking forward to trying other dishes.
The best pork chop I’ve ever had. The food and service was great. It’s just very expensive.
Felicidades.
My wife and I had a fantastic time celebrating her birthday. The food was well presented, really fancy.
The view was agreeable, giving us a sense of quietness around us. Overall, everything was up to our liking.
