Sally's Fish House & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our lunch very much! Views of the harbor magnificent on a sunny afternoon. Nice options with a sushi style menu available. Hamachi, both styles excellent! Mosel Reisling upstanding along with the cocktail options . Shrimp BLT Brioche!!!
Octopus in a Spanish style of chorizo, membrillo, and black bean sauce, so authentic yet cutting edge.
Keep cooking with passion we will return soon Chef Dean & Nicole
This place has a very good ambiance. Our family decided to try it based on reviews, having 2 boys that can be loud, we were not sure how our night will go with a formal, quiet place like this one. We were seated in the patio overlooking the marina with a few tables occupied around us. It was a perfect night. We came in between happy hour and dinnertime. We were given both the menus and were allowed to order on both. I got the seafood paella and hubby got the chillean seabass that was the bomb. It tasted amazing. The portions are also pretty big.
We would surely recommend this place to friends and family.
I was in town for a conference and was staying at the Marriott. My friend traveled with me and loves seafood. I'm vegan. They had an option for me and all the reviews we read rated this restaurant positive so we had dinner there our last night. Both our meals weren't good which was a huge disappointment especially for the price. I've eaten here two other times and both were good but not within the last year. We were bummed as every other place we ate was exceptional regardless of price during our trip.
I brought my 2 managers and their spouses to San Diego for a little rest and relaxation. We ate at 4 different (higher end) restaurants in the gas lamp district and Sally's was my favorite. My meal was the seafood and rice platter (don't know the official name) but was awesome.
Getting together with good friends was highlighted by having dinner at Sally’s. It was a very warm evening which was quite comfortable sitting outside with a view of San Diego Bay. My interest that evening was to try the Paella. I was not disappointed. It was excellent! The serving was so large my husband and I were able to enjoy it again for lunch the following day. All four of us were pleased with our meals. You can be sure we will be going back for more!
The view of the bay was beautiful. The service and food was average. I had the paella which was ok. The lobster tails were difficult to get the meat out of. My husband had the fish trio which he also thought was ok. His Bloody Mary with shrimp , bacon, and crab was fun and tasted great.
Had a wonderful meal there, the food was excellent and the view was great (sat in the outdoor area facing the harbor). I had the seafood paella which was a huge quantity of delicious food. My wife had a fish dish which was also tasty. Service was good, restaurant was not crowded on a Thursday night in October.
Food is tasty. Nice portions, fresh, good seasonings, accompaniments. The service is friendly and generally good, however, the server may disappear for a while and you may need to ask another worker to get your server for you. Overall, a reliable meal and good go to place for yourself or to take guests.
A truly amazing place. Prices were reasonable, especially considering how wonderful the food was! In truth, I could have saved money; we ordered one appetizer and two entrees. The portions could have fed a lion! Combine that with a wonderful view of the harbor and exemplary service, and even a lovely park right near the harbor to take a short walk afterwards... it all made for a lovely evening.
