   Our only criticism of this otherwise marvelous restaurant is that the waiter was a little too in our face, giving us a little too much information. But the food is superb.

   We’ve recently relocated to Dallas from ‘up north’ in Prosper. Sallio Bistro is our favorite dining spot hands down. The name is derived from the verb ‘to salt’ as each dish is accompanied by a flavored salt to enhance it. It’s truly a charming little family owned neighborhood bistro with delicious food and an expert staff. We’ve found the true mark of a good restaurant is when the owner is hands on. Not only is Karen, the owner and Louisiana native, always there but many of her family members work there as well making it a true family business. Her daughter, Aubrey, was our waitperson and provided us wonderful details on every aspect of the menus as well as her personal favorites. She was an absolute delight! My biggest dilemma was deciding what to order. My favorite appetizer is the ahi tuna tartare but we also had tempura Brussels Sprouts (to die for) and meatballs which were also wonderful. We shared the watermelon caprese served on a frozen Himalayan salt block ... delightful! I had the diver scallops, my husband and another friend had the blacked redfish, and the other guest had a wagyu beef tenderloin and all were delicious. We topped off the marvelous meal with house made baklava and a dark chocolate flourless cake. I highly recommend Sallio Bistro for an unforgettable meal.

   Great service. Especially loved our server Aubrey Lynn. She is wonderful. The entire staff was great with the children in our party.

   Sallio Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is delicious. The way the chef combines flavors is amazing. The service is friendly & very attentive. I totally love this place!!!!

   The food and service were 5 star. The only negative was the table. It was a tiny table squeezed into a corner. The table behind us was never seated so there was no reason to squeeze us into the corner. While our waiter was excellent, the waiter serving the table next to us that was occupied, was oblivious to us. We had to avoid his backside from hitting us in the face while we were eating. He couldn’t serve his table on the opposite side (away from our space) due to the proximity of the next group. The restaurant needs to consider the comfort of its patrons when deciding where to place them. Had the restaurant been 100% occupied, then, seating us at this table may have been necessary. Since it wasn’t, the restaurant should have made other arrangements or should have instructed the waiter (not ours) to be considerate when occupying our space. Otherwise, the restaurant deserves 5 stars. Thank you.

   This was an encredable dinning experience! The food was fabulous and so was the service. We have the watermelon salad and it was out of this world !

   This is my group's second trip to Sallio Bistro. They are so accommodating to the customer (remember when customer was always right? They live it. Our excellent server was very clear on that. I wanted spinach instead of carrots with my meal ..no problem. The French onion soup...goodness I could have eaten only that and watermelon caprese and the old vine zinfandel that we had. Even though this restaurant is about 12 miles from me, I plan to come on occasion.. it wasn't too loud as many restaurants are. We were able to talk very to our party of 7.

   My wife and I are regulars here and always leave satisfied. My wife had the trout almondine and I had the branzini fish special. Both were fanatastic with a bottle of Pinot Gris. It was especially busy on Friday night and a little louder than normal, but no complaints. We had a great meal and a nice date night.

    The food we all had was delicious. The Watermelon caprese salad was unique and wonderful. My husband and I split the mixed grill and all the meats were very tasty. The restaurant was crowded and the service was a little slower than we have experienced in the past.
