   The ambiance, service, wine, cocktail and appetizers were all very good but the entrees weren't great, just good. It was a bit of a letdown although the dessert was fine.

   Great food! Outstanding service! Great recommendations! We shared several apps and tried a variety of their signature cocktails. Excellent! I was directed to the Pork Chop for my meal and would highly recommend!

   The tables are not spaced apart enough. We’re in a pandemic and the restaurant needs to pay more attention to the possibility of community spread. We left early because we didn’t feel safe

   We were treating the grandparents to their wedding anniversary and a birthday. We kept missing the regular menu coming at brunch time/holidays so it was nice to finally try the dishes on the website. The grandparents were super pleased with presentation, flavor and service! It was deja vu as we had the same table and waitress as last time we were there a few months back for mother's day and she remembered us which made the service pleasant. She even finished the night by saying see you soon which was a nice touch. The table shared empanadas (beef as grampa is allergic to seafood), pork chops, lamb and the short ribs. The 8 year old liked the short ribs the most and their risotto (which I was able to get instead of lima beans) was wonderful for me. We were allowed 1 dessert free for celebrating and we actually picked 3 out total-enjoyed them all. I'm always glad when grandpa can find things to eat on a fancy menu as he is diabetic and has food allergies. Overall great for celebrating and a gem for downtown but not something I can afford more often. I didn't get it this time but I also loved their fried plantains and they serve the Chilean national drink pisco sour which I reminiscence about my time in Chile when I get it there.

    The food was great except for my medium rare steak that was delivered close to well done. We were given the excuse that it was wood fired....don't offer it medium rare if wood firing it cannot be done. Preferably, don't give an excuse, just cook another one. Aside from that one thing, it was a very nice evening.

    Great food - great service. Wish they had a basic aji de gallina. They did have such a well cooked pork chop and steak. Our meal was so good and the atmosphere is just right. We’ll be back!

    We celebrated my friends birthday on the patio. It was a great atmosphere and our server Maggie was very attentive. She really knew the drink menu! Even though the food took a little longer than expected they offered half price appetizers for our next visit without us saying a word. The food was great, the drinks were great and we will be back 😊

    I asked for two more slices of the toasted bread for my caprices salad….they served two and there were four tomatoes…. Was charge $2 for them…felt nickle and dimed after spending $100 plus on diner and drinks Really??

    This is our first time at Salar. Our friends have been there several times. We really enjoy the place. The food was very good. The drinks were incredible. My wife normally do not have any alcoholic drinks. She order the Chameleon and she loved it. She liked it so much that she had two of them. Overall, great place for food and drinks.

    The food was outstanding! We had calamari for an appetizer and all agreed it was the best we've every had. It wasn't greasy at all, the calamari wasn't tough or chewy an the sauce was divine. Our party had the Faroe Island Salmon, the Seafood Rice, and the Pork Chop. Everyone raved and cleaned their plates. We were there celebrating a birthday and our waiter brought us a complimentary dulce tres leche - another best ever!! Service was great, our waiter, Mark was very helpful and efficient. We will definitely return next time we're in Dayton!!

    We had a fabulous meal with fabulous service. We ordered the beef empanadas and chicken chicharonnes which were spectacular. Super fresh and delicious. For entree my husband had the ribeye which I am told was great. I ordered the surf and turf which was presented gorgeously and tasted excellent as well. Only disappointment was the I ordered my filet medium and it came to me well done. When they re-did my filet they brought it to me rare and of course by then I had eaten everything else my plate and I didn't feel like troubling them again. It didn't stop me from having a highly enjoyable meal with fabulous service. I would dine here again.

    We had a beautiful meal out on the relaxing back patio. The service was excellent, the food delicious and the ambiance amazing. We always love Salar but that was the first time dining on the patio. Of course we will be back again soon for my favorite drink, the Hickory Torch which I liken to a delicious liquid campfire. Always a great night at Salar.

    food was ok. The Machu pichu pork chop seemed to be the best item on the menu. We had that and the lamb shank. Lamb was not bad but not as good as Machu PIchu. Food was priced high. Unique cocktails. service was polite but didn't wow us. We went for our anniversary, which they recognized (gave us a couple glasses of prosecco). we received appetizers and then our cocktails 5 min after. Same thing with our food, got food then wine was brought later. Had to ask for a knife, etc. I might try it again. High priced for the food.

    I finally had the opportunity to eat here. The ambiance was perfect. The wait staff were attentive. I ordered the Delmonico steak. While my business associate ordered the pork medallions. When my steak arrived it was intimidatingly large but cooked to perfection. I immediately thought about how much I would need to take home thinking I could never eat it all. A bite & a glass of wine & another bite...the mushrooms and bacon with the truffle mashed potatoes perfectly complimented the steak. Another bite and the next thing I knew the wait staff were asking if I wanted them to clear the plate. I looked down and it was gone. Not only had I eaten it (all) but I enjoyed every bite. Thanks Salar for making what I expected to be an ordinary night into a very special occasion. After seeing some of the other dishes on nearby tables there is much more to explore. I will be back.

    This was a great place for outside dining. The covered area was nicely decorated and quiet. Dan was admirable as our server having all the answers and an extremely pleasant personality. Of course it's the food that is most important and Salar was right there providing the very best. This restaurant was suggested to us by an area resident and we could not have been more pleased. It was the dining highlight of our eight day trip.
