   The food was amazing and beautiful. The service was great and I love having real menus again! The only problem was that it was quite loud. My husband uses hearing aids and he had difficulty hearing the conversation.

   Wakame Seaweed salad is superb (nice portion too if you dare to share). Small plate tuna Akami Tataki was also excellent. Grilled shishito pepper was a very large appetizer with ample peppers for sharing (up to 4 people even) and has plenty of flavor. The special rolls we shared were all a lovely mix of textures, colors and flavors: Grow Wings, DT Aftermath, The OP, and I love You Man. Service was attentive. Wait staff was very knowledgeable.    My son and several friends have been raving about this place since I came back to town. I am not a sushi person persay, but I really enjoyed this. The only negative would be having to pay a $10 per person reservation fee on top of my check.

   Always so good! A reservation is necessary. Especially in the late spring all through summer and fall. Yes folks! They are that good! We have been going there for years now, and always look forward to having their great sushi rolls, squid salad and tempura vegetables. Always a great way to finish your day. Full bar and special drinks offered. All ages are welcome. I’d say the pricing it’s not cheap, it’s not terribly expensive, it’s in the middle to high price but it is really worth it!

   We requested a table for 8 and we’re told not likely but they came through. We had a wonderful time and the sushi rolls were excellent. Ask for the Gojira. It’s not on the menus but they can make it. It’s the best along with the big fork bomb. Overall we loved it.

    Rice was very crunchy. It was probably either old or undercooked. More than likely old. Our drinks were also under expectations. Had to ask for more ginger beer because it was not made properly. Waitress was okay, didn’t seem to care about the drinks weren’t up to par. I’ve eaten here before and it’s been great. Not sure what’s going on now but won’t be going back for a while.

    Outstanding food as always. Best bang for your buck for sushi in the whole valley, but also even more so quite literally the best Sushi. Hands down. We stopped going to wasabi years ago and we live in Whitefish. When we go out to eat?... Sake it to me every time. Great environment ( though could you please get somebody to dust off all the lights? 🤣) Great servers, amazing appetizers and food.

    This was our second time to saketome, the first experience was poor so we were hoping this would be redemption, it was not. The noise was very loud, hard to hear each other at our table of 4. The appetizers were actually good! But unfortunately, that was the only good thing we got. The flavors in the rolls did not mesh well, and some were very bland even. We usually order 5 rolls, but we didn't even want to finish the 3 we had ordered as they were so unappetizing. The waitress was nice, but not attentive and took a while to order our appetizers, and totally forgot about our after dinner drinks, leaving us to wait for a while. This was our second attempt, but for us the third time will not be the charm. We won't be returning. Much better alternate sushi options in Kalispell.

    Saketome is extremely overrated. Sushi in general is typically hit or miss and this place is a miss for sure. Ambiance is fine; a little loud, hard to have a conversation with the people at your table. I’ve been here twice. The first time I left thinking the food was mediocre and likewise for round two. My Miso was Luke warm with chewy almost tough mushrooms and the rolls… dear god are these the most bland tasting rolls I think I’ve ever had. I assume it’s just poor quality fish and the lack of any kinda of flavor profile makes it mediocre. That high cost + bland food = no thanks. Avoid if you can, your wallet will thank you.

    Food is consistently excellent, it’s our go-to for special occasions! The music was terrible and loud but we still were able to talk and have an enjoyable meal. Zoe is an attentive server, made great suggestions with a smile! Sake was tepid but still drank it🤷‍♀️ All in all, an excellent anniversary dinner!

    The seaweed and squid salad was excellent. We tried the Electric Feel and Massive Attack. One fresh, one fried. They complemented each other well. I would highly recommend trying this place!
