Saito – Sushi, Steak and Cocktails
The downtown restaurant offers Pacific regional influence that truly inspires Sushi Master Chef Saito as he utilizes fresh tropical fruits, balancing delicately with the freshest fish flown in daily to create magical rolls, sashimi that melts in your mouth, and other inspired dishes. His partners have also developed an equally inspired beverage program, utilizing techniques from next door at Red Phone Booth and traditional Japanese ingredients such as shiso and yuzu. Rare Japanese whisky is showcased and served over double reverse osmosis ice pressed into a sphere from a Taisin ice mold.

took a business friend who'd never experienced sushi. Explained the situation
to our server. He arranged for Chef Saito to pay a visit to our table...
even before we'd ordered anything!! Chef Saito seemed to understand my
friends hesitation to try "raw fish." The chef started to ask my friend what
he enjoyed when tasting other foods. Chef Saito took that information
and my order (I know great sushi when I taste it) and returned with what
I asked for and a small "sampler" of something for my friend. My friend
tried it and immediately wanted to know what it was and how it was prepared.
Turns out there are many different ways to experience sushi and the chef
seems to know them all. Great experience for both of us.
Great dinner. We will be back. perfect date dinner spot
Amazing food! We loved everything we ordered, and we ordered a lot!
food tasted great and was very fresh. cheaper than expected too
Saito prepared the most amazing sushi for my friend and I. This restaurant is fairly new but Saito has been in the Atlanta area for decades at various locations. This is a hidden gem for sure!
Staff was amazing and the food was great. One of the best meals I have had.
Loved it. No steak was available the night we went, but the sushi was fabulous!
From the moment we walked in, I knew it was going to be a fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful. Wait staff is courteous and so friendly. Nice list of specialty cocktails. We started with the tuna tartar and spring rolls. Both were fantastic! Then we had the oh my god roll. It to was fantastic. Incredibly fresh sushi. Yum! We were able to meet Master Chef Saito. Such a nice and welcoming gentleman. Thank you sir! We will be back.
It was a really cool environment, very fancy. It would be the perfect place to go for a special occasion, like a birthday dinner or a nice date!
The overall experience was phenomenal! My husband and I came for a date night while staying the weekend in Atlanta. Our waitress was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable about all menu items and was very understanding of my spice allergies. My husband and I shared the Ginger-Garlic NY Strip and he had a sushi roll. The steak was hands down the best steak we’ve ever had.
The only issue we had was locating the place because Apple and Google maps have it in the wrong location, but it’s not their fault and they were very nice on the phone giving us directions to their correct location.
Food outstanding. Great service. Will be one of my go to places. Chef Satio is the best!
This is more of a good BAR that serves sushi, than it is a sushi restaurant. The cocktails and bar service were excellent. The table service was excellent, too, with a very attentive, professional, and friendly server. We would go back for drinks again, and maybe to try a little sushi again. They are still in their soft open, they said, so maybe not fair to judge fully yet, but the sushi rolls were not great…seemed clumsily made and rice appeared overcooked, so texture was off. TheIr dishes all came with a (bottled?) mae ploy sweet sauce on the plate, which drowned the rolls, which already had other, much tastier sauces on them. I would suggest asking for no side sauces on the plate.
We went to Saito Sushi, Steak and Cocktails because we were told it is a very trendy place and it is a must go in Atlanta nowadays. We are so glad we did. What an amazing expereince !
Mr. Saito knows everything about food , culture, and, knows exactly how to combine everything into a Michelin star presentation. His expereince in Japan, New York City , Paris and other global locations added extra fun to our dining experience tonight. It was not a surprise that he knows some Japanese Michelin star chefs in person whom we either met before or read from the magazines in the past decades. We loved his story in Tokyo Tsukiji market with his master in the old days. We loved all the crews in the team. Their hospitality with personal touch and professional service is absolutely a plus to the food.
The dining expereince in Saito -Sushi, Steak and Cocktails is definitely a wonderful journey for the foodies where the modern world and the tradition were perfectly brought together. Thank you, Saito San and The Team !
New spot, still doing their soft openings, staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
The food and service was really good
The chef is very kind
SSaito was A wonderful dining experience! Aesthetically the restaurant is beautiful, large chandeliers and call bar. Service was great Haley our waitress was wonderful! And food was delicious! Drinks were delish too!
Food quality not worth the price
Amazing drinks!!!! Food was so good! We were so lucky to have found this restaurant!
Chef Saito has made an incredible comeback to the Atlanta dining scene. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the cocktails are inventive and delicious, and the food is excellent and will definitely scratch that itch for anyone who misses eating at Czar Bar. The ambiance is contemporary and chill, and a plethora of sakes and Japanese whiskeys decorate the bar. We will definitely be back and encourage others to check it out as soon as possible!
The cocktails were great. The sushi was poorly constructed and didn’t have enough of the key ingredients for the roll type (think a lobster roll with hardly any lobster). And the menu seems poorly designed. Some of the dishes don’t have any sides but there aren’t a la carte side options except for the appetizers, which are unimpressive.
Great food, drinks and service!! I highly recommend!
Food is fresh & amazing. Service is great always.
Started with multiple apps. The poke was spicy, but very good. Rolls were great!
The food was amazing. The chef and team really do put work in, and it shows. We tried the beef tataki, NY strip and a veggie roll. Honestly couldn’t fault any of it. The crispy finish on the veggie roll really set it off.
The staff are also super friendly and helpful.
We tried four cocktails in total, the green tea highball as a very pleasant surprise, and they performed very well with the Nippon old fashioned.
All and all, would 100% recommend and go again.
Great work, Saito!
Owner is charming food is great and decor and ambiance is beautiful. Would definitely recommend!!!
The address listed on the app and the website is incorrect. It is over a block away from the actual location. The service and drinks were great, sushi was also great, wouldn’t recommend any of the other food on the menu. Atmosphere was enjoyable
This spot is a gem! My friend and I had the best time and can’t wait to go back! The sushi is excellent and Saito himself comes by to check and make sure everything is great. Love the decor and indoor/outdoor vibe of the open windows. The service was also great and we felt very taken care-of!
Great Sushi..highly recommended
Loved that the chef comes around tables. We would gladly go there over and over again!
Best sushi I have ever had!!
We had a visit to our table from Saito which was a nice surprise! Cocktails, Sushi, and fish were delicious! I will be returning at the next market.
The food was awesome, and we thought it was cool that the Chef came out to greet each table and make sure everything was perfect.
The food was delicious. I have been waiting for amazing Sushi and the soft opening was well done. The drinks were amazing!
We dined during the soft opening so the complete menu wasn’t available and they’re working out the kinks service wise but overall we enjoyed the experience and the good was excellent.
The soft opening was awesome. We are looking forward to the grand opening!
We visited the week of the soft opening. The staff was delightful and we’re so excited to have you in the neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back for more delicious food and libations!
Sushi was phenomenal! Can not wait to go back and try other items on the menu, as well as the specialty craft cocktails!
