The Saint John Ale House offers progressive pub food in a casual, relaxed dining room, in our pub and on our waterfront patio during the summer. We take pride in knowing where our food comes from and use locally grown and seasonal produce, meats and fish from New Brunswick farmers in many of our menu items and daily specials.

We offer the largest selection of beer in Saint John, including several local craft beers such as Moosehead Cask Ale made exclusively for the SJAH. We have an extensive wine list and also serve creative cocktails hand-made by our mixologist.

Join us for a few drinks in the pub, or dine in our restaurant. If you're interested in an all around fun night out in Saint John - we look forward to hosting you!

Within 20 feet of our doors is underground heated parking, very comfortable and accessible in the winter. There is also ample parking on several lots adjacent to Market Square, the mall we are located in.

Public transit stops are located right outside the doors to the mall as well as a taxi stand in front of the adjacent Hilton Hotel.
Variedad
In the summer months, we boast the largest patio seating in the city. It overlooks the Bay of Fundy as well as a boardwalk loaded with entertainment all summer long. Saint John Idol, Country Star, Weekly Car Shows, Live Music and Festivals fill the stage almost every night throughout the summer. Inside we are connected to a pedway system linked to Harbour Station and the home of the Saint John Sea Dogs as well as many concerts including, Neil Young, Elton John, Carrie Underwood etc... We are a front stage for the Santa Clause parade and many other festivities all year long.

This was our first time at the Ale House and we can’t wait to go back now. Absolutely the best fries in town, great beer selection and a perfect burger.

It was really good. The bacon wrapped scallops were amazing!! The chicken wings & pickled carrots were delicious too. The music was really good, but way to loud. We could not hear our waiter or each other. Other than the really loud music it was excellent :)

Not sure if I booked correctly but I requested seating upstairs and somehow ended up downstairs. It was quite chilly down there.. other than that we had great service. Out waiter was great!

We always make a reservation at the Ale house when we are going out with large groups (6+). They are fantastic at accommodating us, getting all our food and drinks out hot and fresh together in a timely fashion. The service is always stellar.
