The Saint John Ale House offers progressive pub food in a casual, relaxed dining room, in our pub and on our waterfront patio during the summer. We take pride in knowing where our food comes from and use locally grown and seasonal produce, meats and fish from New Brunswick farmers in many of our menu items and daily specials.

We offer the largest selection of beer in Saint John, including several local craft beers such as Moosehead Cask Ale made exclusively for the SJAH. We have an extensive wine list and also serve creative cocktails hand-made by our mixologist.

Within 20 feet of our doors is underground heated parking, very comfortable and accessible in the winter. There is also ample parking on several lots adjacent to Market Square, the mall we are located in.
Public transit
Public transit stops are located right outside the doors to the mall as well as a taxi stand in front of the adjacent Hilton Hotel.
Entertainment
In the summer months, we boast the largest patio seating in the city. It overlooks the Bay of Fundy as well as a boardwalk loaded with entertainment all summer long. Saint John Idol, Country Star, Weekly Car Shows, Live Music and Festivals fill the stage almost every night throughout the summer. Inside we are connected to a pedway system linked to Harbour Station and the home of the Saint John Sea Dogs as well as many concerts including, Neil Young, Elton John, Carrie Underwood etc... We are a front stage for the Santa Clause parade and many other festivities all year long.

Food was great service was awesome. I would recommend a bit larger menu. Found it a little pricey, especially the steakvandppetizers.

Not a good atmosphere plus I pointed out to the staff a mouse which was in the restaurant. Not a good experience I will not return nor recommended.

As always we had a good time at the Ale house for supper. We dine here quite regularly and never have a issue. My only complaint was the lighting it seems as though they put new lighting in and it was very dark. Other than that everything was great!

Yes but would stay away from fish and chips batter too thick and overcooked Steak was excellent as was other foods

We always eat at the Ale house when we visit Saint John. I think you could look at the pricing of the menu as it seems to getting high.

We were disappointed there were not lobster rolls on the menus the day we arrived. In hindsight perhaps we could have requested ahead. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

In from Montreal for business. Our team started off at the bar having some of the great local brews. We moved to a table for dinner and the guys behind the bar actually served us as well. It was a great night and hope to be back soon
