Great experience. Staff was great and very friendly. The food was exquisite. The wine list was ok and a bit pricey for the types of wine. Overall great place to go for a special occasion or date night.
Nice atmosphere
Desserts need to be improved, and there needs to be more choices.
Valentine’s dinner at Saint Jacques was wonderful. James was our waiter and he made the experience fantastic. He paired our meal with a nice bottle of wine. I had escargot as my appetizer... never had it before so I didn’t know what to expect. It tasted good and the sauce they were in was wonderful. My husband got the cheese plate which was hands down better than mine! Our entrees were scallops and shrimp and beef cheeks. Both delicious but the beef cheeks seemed like a “pot roast”. The star on his plate was the sweet potato purée underneath the beef cheeks. My scallops were crazy good. Dessert was creme brûlée and chocolate budini. HANDS down the chocolate budini was the best! Bittersweet chocolate that legit tasted like heaven as it melted in my mouth. A little pricey ($327 for 2 people) but an absolutely wonderful experience. Thank you Saint Jacques for introducing me to wonderful French cuisine!
Enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. The Ribeye, mashed potatoes, and asparagus was delicious. My wife enjoyed the shrimp and scallops. The creme brûlée dessert was fantastic. Phenomenal service and atmosphere for a special occasion.
This hidden gem has authentic French food made with local, fresh ingredients. It is expensive, and you get what you pay for. In this case, it is extremely high quality food. Don't be fooled by the property - it is in a strip mall and the appearance isn't the most attractive, but if you are in it for the food, check Saint Jacques out!
Best fine dining in RDU. AMAZING food from appetizers to dessert. Probably one of my favorite places all time
Food very overpriced and not great. We expected a lot more for the $. Presentation and menu are outdated. Expected something inventive on the Valentine's Menu especially in the dessert realm--would've been nice to see some kind of pastry vs creme brulee, chocolate pudding, sorbet. Service and ambience were great!
Valentine’s Day
Located in a strip mall so kind of lost any character if it had any. The food and service were excellent. We had the Ribeye for two but the up charges were not explained thoroughly. Management did give us a small credit for the misunderstanding but the meal with drinks was still very expensive. Possibly the main reason I won't be back anytime soon would be due to price.
My wife & I have date nights on Thursdays, we like to frequent the typical fine dining locations in the triangle, but have never been to Saint Jacques, Can I just say...., everything we had here was unique and amazing, not only in flavor but in presentation. The service was great as well & my craft mixed cocktails where on points, Wife’s Bordeaux was perfect as well. They have a small area for dining that’s is very private and quite nice for a date ! We will definitely go again.
Thanks Jimmy V
Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum! Yum!
Anniversaire
Food and service was excellent as usual.
Excellent food and service, as usual.
Best food I have had in Raleigh and the service is outstanding. Highly recommend.
Always wonderful. I really enjoyed the St. James Syrah bottle of wine and the duck.
Overall a great meal! Also great service. Good social distancing.
Amazing food & ambience. Once you are inside, you are teleported out of Raleigh & in for a culinary treat. Amazing duck entree & desserts were insane.
We attended the St Jacques wine dinner this past Thursday evening. What a breath of fresh air especially during these times. The menu consisted of wonderful charcuterie and a wonderfully prepared porcetta was the main course which was a delight and fun to have this Italian menu there. The Italian wines chosen were perfectly paired with the meal and were offered with a sommelier presentation . We will absolutely be at the next wine dinner and will be adding St Jacques to our go to restaurants!
We love going to Saint Jacques! We went on a Tuesday evening, so it was quiet, not too busy. The tables were spaced out for COVID precautions and our server wore a mask. The food was excellent! The only disappointing thing was that their coffee machine was out of service, so no dessert coffee.
Had a wonderful dinner, my dining companion has celiac disease and the waiter was scrupulous about making sure everything she was served was gluten free. Both meals were incredible. The restaurant was a lovely space, very clean and inviting. Definitely a great choice for a special night out, you forget you are next door to a harris teeter as soon as you walk in the door.
Food and service outstanding. Spanish style octopus one of if the best dishes ever. Also not your typical offering.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our Anniversary Tuesday night.
The food was amazing; the waitress was kind and attentive; and the manager made us feel welcome as well.
Excellent dining experience every time. This dinner we had the octopus and beef cheeks and they were delicious. They also gave us a special desert for my birthday. Service was friendly and professional. I look forward to our next visit.
We wanted a nice experience for New Years Eve and Saint Jacques was an excellent choice. They had a three course meal I had the scallops appetizer, the steak au poivre, and the creme broulee while my wife had the winter salad, the beef Bourguignon, and the sorbet. We were both very pleased with our excellent food choices.
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. Very enjoyable restaurant that I am planning to visit often.
While we expected the meal to be good, they exceeded our expectations. The food was great and so was the service. In these trying times it was good to see that the staff not only wore masks correctly they also wore gloves and were very concerned with our safety.
We have eaten at this restaurant for many years(22yrs) and it has always been all around excellent. This was a fixed menu for New Years eve and was prepaid with a 20% gratuity included. The food was excellent as usual but, the service was not up to Saint Jacques standard, at all. My husband had to ask for bread twice. I had to flag the waiter down several times to ask for wine. He never came back to our table at dessert service to ask if we wanted coffee. I finally had to flag him down and ask. We then had our bill for drinks, at the end, to find that portion, as well, had a 20% gratuity added in. This was not up to a 20% gratuity standard. We spent over $290 for the two of us. At that level the service should be held to their normal standard. I am not sure if we would do this again next year.
New Years Eve meal was a limited menu, but was exceptional, none the less. Best restaurant in Raleigh.
Absolutely fabulous, as usual! Every meal at St. Jacques is delicious work of art and lovely experience!
Absolutely Wonderful!! The service was impeccable and the food was so delicious. We had heard so many wonderful things about St. Jacques from friends and neighbors that we made a reservation (highly recommend) and went for our first time this past Saturday. Anthony helped us with our wine and food selection (he was spot on)! The trout feature was something from out of this world and so good! I had the salmon and the romesco sauce was extraordinary! Eyed a few of the dessert go past our table but we decided “next time” we are there, we’ll order dessert.
Drinks were ample and the duck breast was done just as we ordered.
Desert was enough for both off us.
Bit pricey, not some place you drop in for a quick snack! But for a special event, can't be beat!
Fantastic. Everything about the place
Absolutely incredible, quality is enduring (last visited several years ago). An open mind and willingness to take a culinary journey results in a truly one of a kind experience. Thanks for marking our anniversary with an exceedingly special evening.
Excellent Service and atmosphere. We went out for an Anniversary dinner and were treated like royalty!
Absolutely wonderful!
Fabulous food and service. Anthony our server was exceptional. We also had the honor to meet Chef Aaron. Wonderful experience. Will return.
What a truly lovely experience. I have been wanting to dine here for awhile, and finally got the chance, and it was truly wonderful. The food was amazing, the service impeccable. Will definitely return, and soon!
