Wonderful meal. Very accomodating. Appreciated the chef stopping by the table.
The Chef is diligent about making sure his food is delicious and gives a lovely presentation along with his visit to each table through several courses. A bonus for us was the new handicapped parking space right outside the restaurant.
Charming restaurant, especially considering it’s in a strip shopping center. The food is artfully presented and delicious. Service was great.
Wonderful to get a meal and experience like this in North Raleigh. This place is a true treasure. The chef/owner personally came to each table to greet us and ask if everything was okay. I know that is common at dinner, but this was at lunch!
We enjoyed our lunch at Saint Jacques. Their Orange Thyme Old Fashioned was very good, and the seafood crepes and salmon were cooked very well. The service was far more formal than what you can expect in even the nicest of restaurants around here. It's a rather small place, so it was not noisy at all, even as it filled up. This would be a great place for a romantic dinner or special occasion.
outstanding service and delious food and tasty red wine.
The food is very rich, heavy, and high in salt content.
We went for New Year's Eve, to a 5 course meal, and of course we were NOT disappointed! No one could create a (NC) crab terrine like Serge can. The pork cheeks terrine was the other first course choice and was a grand way to taste pork cheeks (also locally sourced). Our group experienced both the lobster/butternut soup and the onion gratin' soups. Delicious! Then we had to choose between the shrimp and scallops St Jacques (wonderful) or a petite beef filet in a decadent burgundy sauce topped with a combination of buttered bread crumbs and blue cheese. Again, only by Serge! Dessert was a choice of vanilla crème brulee or a melt in your mouth apple/butter cookie delight. If you want to eat French food in Raleigh, this is the ultimate experience. Thanks to the chef and all his fantastic staff.
I never write OpenTable reviews, but I will for Saint Jacques.
We got a tip to head to Saint Jacques almost a year ago and it just completely slipped our minds. My girlfriend loves French food and we have been all over France, so we have some experience of authentic French cuisine. My girlfriend says that this was one of her best meals in her life.
The location is unusual as it is in a strip mall, but if that keeps away too many people, I hope it stays in its current spot. Great atmosphere, AMAZING food, super attentive service, Chef came out and greeted us.
This is a gem in Raleigh, and I hope you all give it a try, but don't go too many times, because we need a table too!
A hidden gem, have been twice and both were excellent experiences, authentic French cuisine.
