Everything was amazing - we could not have had a better meal or better service.
Wow, fabulous food, great service and a wonderful dining experience. We will go back and enjoy this fine restaurant again
Absolutely astounding first French cuisine experience! Especially the bread! Expensive, yes. Worth it? Yes! For a special occasion, prepare to be spoiled (great waitstaff), surprised (small samples from the chef) and immersed in a gorgeously presented, perfectly cooked, delicious delight! We loved it!
Fantastic meal and great service! Great restaurant for a nice meal or a special occasion!
We went after Valentines Day for a nice dinner and the experience was better than anticipated. The food was excellent, deserts were great, and the staff did a nice job of being attentive without being obtrusive. I wanted to go here for a long time and I am glad we did. We will be back again soon.
The best quality of food and service in the local area. So pleased! Highly recommend.
The sweetbreads were amazing. We got our picky eater friends to try and the loved. Duck was terrific as were braised short ribs bourginon. Flounder special side sosh very good but sauce on fish not as good as meat dishes. This is such a good French restaurant
Always spectacular - everything delicious - bread, appetizer, salad, entrée, dessert, complimentary cookies...never a disappointment. Serge comes out to ask about your meal. Our go-to for special occasions and romantic dates. Bon Appetit!
Very overrated. The decor is dated, service was lacking, and food was mediocre. Don’t forget very overpriced. My recommendation, go somewhere else and enjoy better food at a cheaper price.
Food was great, service was great. We especially loved the personal touch from the chef who presented guests with an amuse bouche. Great experience!
This was our first time at Saint Jaques. We were greated at the door and the hostess offered to take our coats. It was still early in the day and there were only a few tables occupied.
We had the soup du jour which was a delicious cream of cauliflower with mushrooms. The entrees were very good (oh, and the breads were tasty) and my wife loved the creme brulee and I had the chocolate mouse. We will be back!
These days, this is just about the top restaurant in the Triangle. It's real-deal French cooking done with consummate elegance and flair. If you haven't been here for dinner, it's overdue to rectify that mistake. Bon Appetit!
The service and food was outstanding. The attention to detail at this restaurant was top-notch.
Wow- what a great little find in North Raleigh. The service was impeccable, the food was to die for and overall, this was a great experience. I wish this was in a stand alone building or some place besides a small shopping center- the Girl Scouts selling cookies directly outside the window was the only thing that reminded us that we were not actually in France. Pricey, but perfect for a special occasion. We will be back!
A lovely evening. Attentive staff, exquisite food. We especially enjoyed "the extras": an amuse-bouche, the granite, the birthday dessert in the shape of a swan. Attentive staff, lovely cozy atmosphere. Fantastique!!
Don't judge a book by its cover. Once inside you'll be impressed by the great food and cozy environment. Good service. Pricey, but worth it for a special occasion.
First time here and it was worth it. Outstanding food and service.
Having spent some time working in France I was interested to know if this restaurant in NC, USA would be authentic. I was not disappointed. From the actual food and presentation to the small touches eg complimentary starters. C'est fantastique.
Saint Jacques is a dining experience - not just a great dinner.
The appetizer, entree, and dessert choices are excellent offering various freshly prepared culinary selections.
Make reservations in advance to secure the time you'd like; by design Saint Jacques does not fill their restaurant - I understand each order is prepared from scratch - giving the chef the time and individual attention needed to create a delectable meal.
Periodic visits from management is also a nice touch.
In between courses we enjoyed the savory bread selections, a glass of wine, and at times little treats via compliments of the chef.
The meal was exquisite. The service was excellent. This restaurant is a dining experience that should not be rushed. Give yourself at least two hours to eat here. We took our time and spent three hours. The experience was better than most that I have had when dining in Paris.
Simply the best!!
I was thoroughly impressed with not only the presentation of the food, the taste, the ambiance but the overall experience. The staff was pleasant and did an amazing job at being very intensive. Even with the amount of guest I was able to have a discreet intimate conversation. Plan to visit again soon!
Elegant decor and sumptuous food. Would absolutely go again.
First time to eat there. portion size was perfect. Everything was delicious. Chef's table visits were appreciated.
Chef Serge is very visible here amongst his staff and guests. The results are evident in superior food , excellent service and guests that seem quite happy to be in his restaurant.
I have visited here over the years many times under the former ownership and also during a short period when they were in between chefs . With Chef Serge in now firmly in charge, you find a wonderful menu of both food and wine . The wine menu by the glass is quite respectable . The white clothed tables are nicely spaced and service is spot on. If you are looking for that special dining experience in a very understated location, then join those loyal patrons who seem to keep coming back for more. Make sure you reserve given its popularity.
Met a friend for lunch. The Quiche Lorraine was better than I expected.
It was my first visit for lunch. Service, as usual, was exceptional.
Great lunch with excellent service. Highly recommended.
Food was subpar, I was expecting much better.
Had two glasses of wine( two types of Cabernet blends), that tasted very avereage, and rather bland.
The foie gras was frozen, almost could not eat it and it was basically tasteless.
We ate more bread that anything else, and even that, was stale; one has better baguette at Panera bread.
The onion soup was too sweet( the Vermouth/ wine was overwhelming)
The filet mignon was good, but nothing special.
The profiterol was old, stale and the salt was the only thing I could taste.
The mousse was boring as well.
I would recommend to find another restaurant instead. This was definitely not worth it.
We truly enjoyed our first visit and hopefully, will be back again and again!
Perfect in every way!
