We’ve dined here several times and have throughly enjoyed the food. In addition the service is could not be better, attentive but not overwhelming.
There are not enough superlatives to describe the excellent food and dining experience. We will return again and again. Thanks very much.
Took my wife and in-laws there to celebrate her 40th birthday and we were all very satisfied with the food and service. Chef Serge Falcoz-Vigne came out to greet and present us with tasty dish, which was awesome. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting fine dining for a classy evening.
excellent restaurant, great food , good value
simply the best French cuisine in Raleigh, hands down. A great dining experience
One of the best fancy restaurants I've found in the triangle.
If you never have the opportunity to eat in a French restaurant in France this is as close as you will come the experience is unbelievable
Overpriced!!!! We paid a fortune and got out hungry.
Our server Aaron was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and made us feel at home.
The food was what we remembered from visiting Paris once before.
The ambiance did not feel up to par with the high prices for dinner.
Lastly the wine list of French wines was very limited and very expensive.
Great meal, frog legs and filet mignon were outstanding.
Great food and service. Chef was wonderful to speak with and spent time with all guests. His culinary skills are tremendous
Lamb chops a little undercooked, my wife likes it medium but these were on the rare side. She should have sent them back. Short ribs and steak were great. We haven't had Escargot like yours since a trip to Montreal years ago, that dish was exceptional.
We hold a quarterly lunch at Saint Jacques, both for the lovely food and also because Chef Owner, Serge is a lovely human being and connects well with my French parents. This meal was particularly delicious, as Serge made (at our earlier request) a special dish of scallops for my Mother, who loves them! A delightful lunch for all and a huge thank you to Serge and his team!
My birthday luncheon was perfect in every way, as noted above, especially given that it was a weekday lunch. That didn’t stop the staff from executing at the highest level. Excellent and creative food!
Went there for an anniversary and Serge was kind enough to prepare Coq au Vin, best requested a week ahead, which was exquisitely prepared. It was wonderful to dine with real table cloths, at a casual pace with superb service, delicious food and in an atmosphere where you could carry on a conversation without screaming at each other. The chef's presence in the dining room showed that he really cares abiut the food that he and his staff deliver.
It has become our favorite restaurant in Raleigh.
RAW FISH be aware!
This is definitely a one and done place for the wife and I. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The food was pretty average and unbelievably the majority of my fish (sea bass) was RAW. I can't remember ever getting raw fish other than if I had ordered sashimi. In this case sashimi was definitely NOT on the menu. Admittedly I ate a good amount of the fish which was cooked at the thinner areas. It was after working my way up to the thicker section that raw meat was apparent. The server was apologetic when I mentioned the fish was not done and I declined any more food. It was surprising that a chef of a preportably fine dine restaurant would let uncooked fish out of his/her kitchen and surprising as well that we were not comped for the meal and had to request the item to be removed from our bill. My wife's lamb was very nondescript. Mayor let down and overall disappointing experience. This place definitely seems to be resting on it's past laurels.
Great food and wine selection. All courses were perfection.
Saint Jacques is our favorite local French restaurant. We have come for birthdays and anniversaries several times. The food is well prepared and imaginative. The staff is polite and attentive. The chef/owner is native French and always greets guests at the table. The atmosphere is pleasant, but not overdone. We highly recommend Saint Jacques.
Consistently the very best dining in all of Raleigh.
We found this restaurant online with great reviews and decided to give it a try. Really enjoyed the great food and service. Saw some other dishes that looked fantastic and will definitely go back again!
Great quiet environment, cozy restaurant, great food
Lovely restaurant. Excellent attentive service. The food was very good.
Prices a little high.
St. Jacques is always wonderful! This time did not disappoint! The escargot is to die for! Make sure to get some bread to sop up the garlic butter!
I took my husband out for his birthday and we had a great experience!
My favorite restaurant in Raleigh, great for special occasions. If you like French food this is as authentic as it gets!
A wonderful trip down memory lane! This is authentic French cuisine. A fabulous experience.
This is our favorite restaurant for special occasions. We started with excellent martinis and appetizers and followed with equally excellent entrees and a shared dessert. Service was friendly and professional.
Unless you want to practice your French this place is just okay. The service is good but food lacked flavor for the price point.
The food and service were amazing. The owner/chef came out to chat with us multiple times, which was a great touch. Definitely, don't let the location fool you, this place is 5-star! We will be going back for special occasions.
Consistently the very finest restaurant in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area. Extraordinary food, exceptional food, the finest wines.
A delicious meal. Fresh ingredients, wonderful staff, superb chef. I will definitely go back.
My wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and could not have been more pleased. The cuisine was excellent— memorable— and the wait staff were professional and attentive.
We ordered off the vegetarian menu and ordered all 3 courses for the two of us for our anniversary. The food was excellent, portions were small and our waiter was awkward. But they made it special for our anniversary (dessert plate read Happy Anniversary) and overall it was better than We expected.
A bit of Paris in Raleigh, NC. Quiet but attentive service, excellent food in proper portions, attention to detail-even down to the crumb scrapper.
A wonderful evening. Everything from the food to the service to the attention to every detail made this evening extra special!
Absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. The best meal I’ve ever had in my life.
We had a very lovely birthday celebration for my daughter.
Classic French with enough twists to make it interesting. Food was all very flavorful. My snapper was just a little overdone, but I prefer "less done" fish. My wife's fillet was perfect. Vegetable choices and sauces complemented the dishes, were tasty and innovative. Really great desserts - best I've had in awhile. Service was perfect...unobtrusive and things just came and went at the right times. Very inexpensive for what you get.
Another lovely Birthday celebration for my 93 year old Father (born Jacque) at Saint Jacques. Chef is delightful and takes time to speak French with my French parents. Food is always well prepared and well received by my family....a special offer (pre-ordered) of a Croque-en-bouche finishes a lovely meal and celebration!
