Saint Jacques at The Burke Manor Inn is the only 4 Diamond AAA rated restaurant in the Triad. Located in the picturesque railway town of Gibsonville, we serve dinner Wednesday - Saturday and lunch Thursday - Saturday. We recommend reservations! Enjoy a glass of wine on the veranda then convene to the intimate dining room where a fine French meal is offered. The owners, Lil & Lori, previously owned Saint Jacques French Cuisine in Raleigh, which was voted one of the top 100 restaurants in the US by OpenTable diners under their ownership from 2009-2014. They have brought those same standards they applied in Raleigh for 10 years to the Inn. As of 2014 they have received the 4 Diamond AAA rate yearly.

Our first time there and we were greatly impressed. The service was excellent. The food also excellent. The house exquisite and very comfortable. We will definitely return soon.

While the restaurant showed promise, our overall experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the price point. Upon entering, we noted a faint musty odor in the dining room that detracted from the ambiance. Our server brought what were described as fresh wine glasses, yet one contained a residual liquid, which was concerning. Additionally, although we specifically ordered bottled water, we were served tap instead, but was corrected. The escargots, though presented hot, were surprisingly lacking in flavor. Bread service was minimal—offered only once—and no follow-up was made. On a more positive note, the scallop entrée was well-executed and quite flavorful, though the scallops themselves were noticeably smaller than anticipated. We are not inclined to complain over the cost of dining when quality and service are commensurate, but in this instance, the value simply wasn’t there. Regrettably, it was not an experience we would be eager to repeat.

We are disappointed to hear we did not meet your expectations. I'm sorry the server did not remove the regular water glasses when he went to get your bottled water & special glassware (servers work together, thus Christian saw your empty water glasses immediately filled them) David brought the requested bottled water & removed the tap water erroneously poured. Our servers do provide the classic French service: amuse bouche, bread service, starter, palette cleanser, entree &dessert service. When the server checked on the quality of courses & your satisfaction he would have been happy to have provided additional bread & offered to correct the escargot not to your liking. I have shared your comments with our team. I'm sorry we were not a good fit for your dining pleasure. Lori

Service was exceptional! Christian is a knowledgeable server and was engaged without being too chummy. We shared a charcuterie board as an appetizer and it was good but not remarkable. Husband had the venison special and it was excellent. I was less enthusiastic about the grouper. It was kind of bland and mushy. Desserts were very tasty. I had crème brûlée and he had an apple crumble kind of thing. Very pleasant surroundings. Will go again!

We are delighted you enjoyed our amazing service but of course concerned about your Grouper. We always try to exceed expectations and I'm sorry Christian did not realize the dish was not to your liking, we would have been happy to have corrected this. So glad to hear the venison, creme brulee and apple crisp were amazing. We pride ourselves with exceeding expectations and modifying or correcting any issues, I'm sorry this didn't happen. We had a wonderful experience. The only reason the noise level was moderate was that the gentleman at the next table spoke so loud that we could hear everything he said. That was nobody's fault. The food was incredible and the wait staff was friendly and helpful by choosing just the right wine for my wife. The Burke Manor Inn is our favorite restaurant and we've never had anything but the best of fine dining there.

Food was not really French… escargots did not have any garlic, cheese dessert was more American with jam and the Brie had a weak flavor and was hard and not creamy plus the cheese portions were minimal…. Not at all like a cheese service in France. Not sure if the French chef was actually in the kitchen that night. Thought the prices were high for the value. Go for the ambience, not for the food.

We are so disappointed to hear you did not enjoy the escargot or cheese plate. If we had known you would have preferred more garlic, we would have been happy to have redone the escargot, I'm sorry the server did not realize it was not your liking. We have passed your comments to Chef Lil who was in the kitchen last Saturday. Hopefully the Foie Gras, French Onion Soup, Grouper, Salmon, Chicken Nissarde and bread pudding were to everyone else's liking. We strive to exceed expectations, so sorry we weren't able to do so. If you’re looking for the best food and most attentive staff, book a table at Saint Jacques. This is the dining jewel of the entire Triad. While we were waiting outside in the garden before our reservation time, the owner/chef noticed us from his kitchen window. He stopped what he was doing to bring us fresh water with lemon. I’ve never experienced such kind and thoughtful service. And the food was incredible. We’re going back ASAP.

We went to St. Jacques years ago in Raleigh and were very disappointed when it closed. I learned recently that Chef Lil and his wife Lori had opened this restaurant (and the attached B&B) and was so excited to go! The food was excellent, and the creme brulee was still probably the best we've ever had!
