Exceptional. First class all the way around. If you appreciate great service, fresh, delicious and innovative food, and all the elements of an excellent dining experience you will be glad you came.
Overall we had a nice experience. The octopus and Pork Belly are very nice dishes. Pasta was excellent. Service over was great from our main server. The one faux pas was our dinners came out while we still had our salad plates in front of us. Only 1/2 of us (3) were finished with our salads. Seemed rushed.
We made an early reservation because we would be downtown with our visiting son and thought we would try the three course sunset menu (4:30 to 5:30 PM). So we made 5:30 reservations and when we asked for the Sunset menu we were told it ended at 5:30 so we were too late. No big deal but I think the waiter could sense some disappointment. So we ordered from the regular menu and (as always) the food, service and atmosphere was superb! The manager Veljko provided a free side dish, one dessert and later came over and poured us all a glass of 20 year old Scotch! Really blown away by this level of customer service. Again - we did not even make a complaint! I told him that I thought Sails was the best restaurant in Naples before that night - now it is cemented as my #1.
Again and again..amazing place..the owner and his wife are the most lovely people I know and all staff are gentle and professional..
Food and atmosphere are great!!!
A superb restaurant in all respects. Not inexpensive, but worth it.
Really exceptional dining experience. Open kitchen. Fabulous beverage program. Lovely fish display and very high end and exciting menu. This is a place to go when you want to feel special
We enjoyed the early dining Sunset menu on the 4th of July and enjoyed excellent food & service!
Love this restaurant. If you want a really nice meal and ambiance this is the place. Service is excellent. They also have a great summer early bird menu.
Food was tasty but over priced food service teams were more sales people up selling than customer service.
The food and wine selection was outstanding. However, the only thing that topped the food was the hospitality of the staff. Everything was handled with a "yes" answer as there were no requests that they posed a problem. A truly exceptional experience perfectly suited for a special occasion.
We had the Sunset special. The food was delicious and the service was superb! Will definitely be back.
This was the most disappointing meals I have ever had in Naples .
Our server was totally patronizing .
The service was appealing 1hour 10mins after being seated we still had no food . When it did come it was over cooked and cold . The flavors left a lot to be desired .
Our wine glasses were removed from the table when their was still wine in the bottle .. and this is just a fraction of what went wrong ..
I’m writing this because we just travelled to Miami Ball Harbor for lunch at Carpaccios .. The contrast was unbelievable . The food was delicious the service was just as it should be and they made us feel welcomed .
I think some training is needed back in Naples ..
A very pleasant evening. Service was excellent as was everything we ate. Musician was top notch also.
Amazing food and service.
The best in Naples. Our favorite. Well worth the $$$ in every respect.
Prices slightly out of line. Presentation lovely. $6.50 for an Arnold Palmer drink is too high. For the size of the gnocchi dish $34. is high even with a few pieces of lobster, the taste was excellent.
Celebrating our move to Naples; this was the perfect place! Food was amazing, the service was attentive and friendly. Loved our experience and will definitely make this a Naples staple for us!
Dining was a mix of "great" and "just OK".
GIn Cin cocktail was a creative blend of ingredients that worked very well. Nice presentation.
Margarita was heavy on tequila, weak on lime juice flavors.
Octopus was a superb dish. Great presentation and mix of flavors. Perfect tenderness.
Hamachi crudo was a fun dish with a wild concept of combining a melon gazpacho with sushi fish.
Just wish waiter had warned us it was spicy.
Ribeye MS8 was excellent piece of meat cooked exactly as we expected. A bit too much salt but that is common in steakhouses
Tuna Rossini was disappointing. Great quality tuna but pieces were oblong like we got leftover cuts of the tenderloin. Foie gras was also on the skimpy side but were good pieces with no gristle. Hardly any flavor to the black truffle reduction.
Service was OK. Waiter knew the menu but his tobacco smoke breath was off-putting. Wine pairing suggestion for the tuna was fine but the wine for the ribeye did not match well... wish he had recommended a more tannic wine to balance the fat in the meat.
Loved the chocolate souffle.
Overall OK. Not sure we need to return given the high prices.
Exceptional anniversary dinner. Food and service were excellent!
Biggest Waygu ribeye ever!!!
Snobby hostess that seemed bothered to help us in an empty restaurant, wildly overpriced food with prices not communicated to us prior to eating: $100 for an unremarkable piece of Dover Sole; $75 for two langoustines which offered three small bites each; $500 total for a simple early-evening meal for two. We enjoy eating in top restaurants all over the world, but I am sorry to report that this one was a disappointment.
This was not our first time and certainly won’t be the last to dine at Sails it’s one of Naples BEST!
Fabulous dinner. Wonderful staff and management
This was our first visit to Sails. There were very positive aspects to our experience and some not so positive. We selected from the Restaurant Week menu and thoroughly enjoyed the Tomato Salad and Mussels and Clams. The woman serving bread to the table was incredibly observant as she noticed whenever I needed more to sop up the broth from the mussels! The Wood-grilled Mediterranean Fish was amazing. And for dessert, the Mango Citrus Curd was excellent, but the Montenegro was a bit ordinary and unsatisfying. Our server, Phillip, was over the top. We just loved his personality and his attentiveness without being overbearing. All of the staff was extremely professional. The biggest drawback to our visit was the ambience. The space is tightly packed and very noisy. In such a space, the live violin and clarinet does not work well. It would be a nice touch in a different venue, but here it competes with an already noisy environment. Also, our table was next to the bar area and against the windows looking out onto 3rd Street. This would normally be a lovely view, but on a June evening with the sun low in the sky, we were blinded as we ate. The restaurant would do well to invest in some nice shades that could be lowered during that time.
All of that notwithstanding, we will revisit Sails in the future as the food preparation and service was beyond compare.
We love going to Sail's Restaurant. The service is impeccable. You feel really special when you go there. We went there for our 54th Wedding Anniversary and were not disappointed. Will gladly go back there.
We enjoyed our food and service provided by Alex.He is very pleasant and he knew how to engage with the guests ,not only to be a server and to feed our stomachs!Ask for him when you visit Sails. It was very loud and very hard to make a conversation with my partner.Beside this,we were seated right at the entrance by the door and it was very tight and a lot of traffic.I asked for another table but they couldn't accommodate us.We went to a special place because it was our anniversary but it was not acknowledged even if it was on the reservation note.We both work in the industry and we know that ,in a fine dining ,every detail is important.
It was amazing. Fantastic server. She was perfect. Gave excellent suggestions, there when we needed her, never intrusive. And a beautiful smile. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Probably the best meal we have had in Naples in ten years.
Restaurant week menu was fabulous and a great introduction to Sails.
We will return.
The service was outstanding. I enjoyed my meal and would go back.
Disappointed in portion size. I asked the Waiter and the Bread Girl and the Server (3 employees) to have the owner, Veljko, to stop over to my table to say hello. He never stopped at my table where I was having dinner with my wife.
Our 2nd visit to Sails. We loved our experience during our first visit when we were seated in the front dining area. Unfortunately, this visit we were seated in a corner right in front of the server counter in the kitchen area. Hotter than blazes. Difficult to enjoy dinner when you are sweating as much as the servers. Food was fantastic. Mentioned the temperature level to our server who flippantly responded that many diners love to sit & watch the kitchen action. Perhaps but not when the temperature in front of the counter is comparable to the temperature standing over the grills. Server said so busy because it was restaurant week. We made our reservation around 3 weeks out & managed to get the worse table in the restaurant.
Tried it during Sizzle Week. Food and service excellent but way too noisy for a relaxing dinner. Wife and I had to almost yell at each other to have a conversation.
We were told we had requested outdoor table which we did not think we did. We thought it was inside.
The evening was very hot, we were outdoors, no fans in ceiling over tables, very uncomfortable.
We will not go to this place u less we are inside in summer.
The food was excellent and our server, Phillip was very good also.
Classy service and elegant food preparations. Tables a little close, but adds to intimacy. Great people watching at the bar. Fish done perfectly as was steak offering. Portions surprisingly generous. Well-dressed fellow diners made the place extra posh.
we tried Sails during restaurant week. i agree with other reviewers that the inside is crowded and noisy. our reservation was for 5:45 for 3 and we were given the table right next to the door. only 3 chairs fit as servers/customers were still knocking into me as they passed. i asked for another table and they would not accommodate. really? server was scarce. we had to often wait for his return. and the most odd thing happened before dessert. The 3 of us each ordered one each of the 3 options - montenegro, some kind of cake, and the soufflé (upcharge of 15.00). the Montenegro is yogurt with honey and nuts. so the servers brings just 2 single servings of the Montenegro (which is what i ordered) and he sets one in front of me and one by other person at the table. So i say this my dessert? and the other person says i have the soufflé. the server says no, this is a complimentary tasting. and i ask him why would i eat this and then my dessert as well if it is the same thing. he said my dessert is double in size and it wasn't that good that i wanted to eat even more. AND the 3rd person got nothing. it was just odd, i felt the server was lying about a mistake he made brining the wrong thing to our table.
Very loud and hot inside. Dinner took over two hours because service was nonexistent. The food was fair. Not a good value for the over $500 we spent for four people. The ribeye steak for two at $46 pp consisted of five slices of steak on each plate with nothing on the side. We will not be back.
The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. I would work on trying to install some noise absorbing materials in the restaurant and also check the AC in the front room we were in. It was a bit warm for early June.
Best restaurant in Naples. Pricey but worth it.
Fresh fish, tasty apps. Loved the vibe. I'm a full time resident who will go back often as long as I don't have to wait in line
Had a great dining experience! Returning for the Monday night steak special.
