I ordered baby back ribs and I was not pleased. At first they were under cooked, so I returned them. When I finally received my meal, the ribs, were burnt to a crisp and were not eatable. But the waitress and service were great.
The food was awful the appetizer was sent back and then they tried to fry the calamari again. Couldn't see to order of the menu it was so dark where we were seated. Plus they sat us next to a table of twelve and we could even hear our own conversation. The service well lets just say I will never go back.
I will waiter provided outstanding customer service.
The Thai chicken skewers keep getting smaller and now there are no cute noodles to go on top. It started out being a very pretty and delicious dish.
I like to go there but was offended when asked for ID to get a glass of wine. I am over 70. The manager even argued that this was the law which is certainly not enforced against 70 year olds eating elsewhere. If people working at a restaurant have NO common sense, do you really want to eat there? Also, is Sage a joint or a fine restaurant? It is not like the cash register at the grocery store demanded my driver's license number.
The food quality was excellent and the service was great. It was at great choice for lunch
We went there to celebrate a wedding anniversary on a recommendation from a friend. My husband and I love live jazz. The jazz player played a selection at our table. The waiter, Dexter, did a fantastic job recomending dishes and taking care of our order. The manager stopped by to wish a a happy anniversary. We felt like celebraties. Very nice.
Thoroughly enjoyed myself, food was awesome, the rib eye steak could have been more tender but food overall great. The strawberry lemon drop excellent. Absolutely loved the live music, honey bone really knows how to draw a crowd. Enjoyed the lady he let sing from nashville she was awesome
The food is excellent and our server was knowledgeable and funny. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday and we will definitely be back!
My server was amazing. I forgot his name, but he was very knowledgeable abd helpful.
Great server! Food was good also. The free bread was awesome.
I have eaten at the location in Sandy Springs and the food at this location is not as good. The Woodfire taste is missing from the food. Not sure why? Maybe it’s because kitchen equipment is from the old Houstons which was the prior Resturant.
I had a very nice experience and will definitely recommend
Everything was good. There was a kerosene or citronella smell that was slightly too pungient, but not to an obnoxious point. The decor is a little dated, which impacts the ambiance. Food is nothing less than superb and the wait staff was courteous and helpful.
Valet parking only.
Overall, on a scale of 1 to 'I'd bring my Mother-in-Law', she'd probably only complain a little, and still clean her plate.
My crab cake was not good at all, and I only took a few bites of it. However, my husband enjoyed his seafood pasta dish.
The food is extremely overpriced. Our waiter was very nice & described the food nicely. The appetizers were all between $14-$18 and the dinners were all $35-50 which I was not expecting. To me, these are fine dining prices- not everyday eat out prices. I would not label this a fine dining experience nor is it touted to be. We just wanted to get a few apps and drinks before seeing a movie. The restaurant was basically empty for a Friday night. Lower your prices, Sage, and perhaps more regular people will stop in more often.
I was my first time at this location and the food was great. I brought an out of town guest and they were impressed with atmosphere, food and the live band.
Hats off to our waiter he was awesome and would love him to serve us anytime.
Food was too salty to eat but portions are very large
Need to turn the air conditioning up
The salmon, tuna salad and shrimp bang bang were excellent. However, I ordered the tuna entree, not the salad, even pointing to it on the menu. When it came, I told the server, but he incorrectly insisted that the tuna entree was a salad. Since it was better for me to eat a salad, I accepted it & was charged for the salad, not the entree. Also the band was a bit loud, making conversation a bit difficult.
Our service person was excellent - attentive and efficient. The food was very good and the menu varied.
Food was amazing and our server, Joe, was A+. Definitely recommend an after dinner drink on the patio.
Our server, Joe, was exceptional. We asked him for suggestions, ordered accordingly, and were happy with our selections (I had the salmon, my wife had the seafood broil).
The AC was out so I would just check prior to going If it is working
Food was great...service was great...music was entirely TOO LOUD.
I had been to this location for lunch. My business associate suggested that we meet there for an early dinner. I was disappointed. I do not recommend it . The atmosphere was very stifling with warm, humid air. It was happy hour with very loud, live electric violin music and a vocalist. My business guest and I could barely hear each other across the table. The server was good. I ordered what I normally find to be a good standby, meatloaf. It was so chewy that I could have used it to shingle the roof of my house. The red velvet cake recommended by the server was not worth the calories. I do not plan to return.
Always a delight. Good food for good price
Food was horrible. We thought this restaurant had just opened based on the sparce crowd and the inexperienced staff. Came in Sunday evening. Female sax player. She was too loud and the majority of what she did was advertising herself. She would also tell us to remember the bartender and wait staff like we were in a party bar setting. This location use to be a Houston’s restaurant. Sage kept some of its decor, the rest they cheapened. Their name includes Tavern, they need to figure out what they want to be, nice dining or tavern. Don’t know about the other locations, but won’t ever come back to this one. If they have been open since oct 2017, by June 2018, they should have all the kinks worked out.
Our waiter was spectacular! He went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted & needed. I felt the food was a pricier than at other comparable restaurants.
I went to a networking event in Buckhead at Sage there, loved, loved the food, wanted to go back. Found out about Windy Hill location, which is much closer for me.
The restaurant is very sexy, love the mood, lighting, service was excellent, food was just ok. While the menu was same I guess, the food was not as good...just ok.
The wait staff was courteous and attentive. The jazz music was good, but, as others have mentioned in their reviews, the music was way too loud. Our party had to yell in order to hear each other over the music. . . not conducive for conversation. The menu was diverse, but expensive.
For the price the food was horrible . I absolutely did not enjoy the food. I ordered the seafood platter
The food was awesome. I recommend the Rosemary Shrimp and Stuffed Mushroom appetizers. The Goat Cheese Chicken was also great. The saxophonist was also very good. She set a very romantic mood in the restaurant. Last but not least I give 5 stars to our server, Joe. He was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and gave fantastic suggestions.
Air conditioning out but I am sure it was temporary
Food is average compared to the price. Ordered steak skewers appetizers and wasn't even asked my preferred temperature (medium rare). They came out medium so much too cooked for my taste. Service was decent. Ambiance was decent except for the loud music.
The seating was prompt, however, with several open 4-tops, the host seated us toward the serving area. we now know that there is music "every day." We were placed near the overhead speaker. The volume was VERY LOUD. Conversation was impossible after the music started. The manager did nothing to soften the level of sound.
The food was very slow arriving. The food was very good and the temperature was as requested.
We noted that the place was very empty by the time we finished dinner at about 8:30 on a Saturday night. We will not go back.
We are California residents and saw the restaurant featured on Housewives of Atlanta. Food was absolutely incredible, succulent scallops and halibut, juicy pork chops and surf & turf prepared to perfection.
Our server, Steve, was so warm, friendly, helpful & personable
Music was way too loud
Loud and slow
