SAGE Woodfire Tavern - Perimeter
The service at this restaurant was excellent. The food was good with great music entertainment
Great hosts and service. Will be back. Love the ambiance.
I initially found this resource on Open table because I was looking for a place for my boyfriend Birthday dinner and they had available slots. SAGE exceeded my expectations. The food was a amazing and the atmosphere was setting for the occasion. Not to mention the live band they had. We will definitely be coming back. Restaurant, live music, and then at 10 the have a dj to come in. Definitely for the grown and sexy for a Saturday night.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, it was complete & utter confusion/chaos/unpreparedness. We had a 7:15 reservation, which eventually got us seated at 7:40. Within 90 seconds of being seated in a booth in the back, we were asked to move to a different table in the sunken room space. We declined & every.thing further took 20 minutes. My fork was taken when app plates were cleared. I asked for another one, when the food came. Our server never brought it. I eventually had to flag down a different server. We never got a water refill & only a carafe of water when we got the check (which took 20 mins). Wine/beer orders/refills took 20 mins. It was very clear that the restaurant was understaffed, yet management filled each and every available seat. Ultimately, it came down to poor management & lack of staff. When you’re on the heels of a pandemic & understaffed, you have to be prepared to turn patrons away. I’ll never give them another dollar.
Overall awesome experience. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff and good food!
Overall the restaurant is very nice and the staff is extremely friendly. The menu prices seem a bit high for the meals and appetizers. And the food was just OK and not a great value for our $70 dinner. But, again, will reiterate that the staff was great and very attentive to all the guests.
The venue was nice wasn’t happy with being put in between two big parties after I made a reservation for a booth. The food was amazing and my waitress was very pleasant.
Nice ambiance. Waitress was nice. Food was okay but not worth the charge.
Music was very very loud, but the food, service and festive dresscode made up for it.
Food was delicious and drinks strong like I like. The music entertainment was my favorite!
Food was delicious some of my party food was delayed we were almost finish when they received it.
Everyone felt that the lamb chops were horrible, the server was nice however we waited along time for food, drinks and the checks
and it was hot as hill on top of everything else.
It was a Great experience both my wife & I had a fantastic time and can not wait to visit again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place..
We were pleasantly surprised! The food was excellent and our waiter Paymon was extremely attentive and professional. The food was served quickly, maybe because we were there fairly early and there were not many others in the dining room. The chicken breast grilled w goat cheese actually turned out to be a split Cornish Hen, which was fabulous! Hardly ever see that served! We also had the shrimp and grits which was spicy. The bang bang shrimp appetizer was good, but not the best we’ve had. The music was uncomfortably loud! It literally hurt my ears, but our wonderful waiter asked someone to turn it down just a bit, and they did. Then it was fine. We left a very generous tip for our waiter!
The only issue I had was that we were there for the brunch 2pm and I felt that we should have been given the brunch prices throughout our services. They start charging full price for items after brunch is over which was NOT cool at all. So if you are reading this to determine your visit. Make sure you are there earlier enough to continue to get the brunch prices on those items throughout your visit. The drinks went from $3 to $12 after brunch ended. I would suggest if the guest are in before the time they should be able to receive the prices until the check is closed out.
I usually have a great experience yet this time was different (even with reservations). The table was not ready and service was slow. We were there 2 hours before we ordered our entire. I had to go to the bar to order drinks because our waiter was pretty much ignoring us. The bartender checked on us at one point. We spent well over $200 and also gave an added cash tip despite the over 15% gratuity that's added automatically. We tip great considering we all were once wait staff.
Birthday dinner for husband had an amazing time we loved the food
I loved this restaurant. My server Rashawn was awesome. Everything and Everyone was delightful. I will be returning soon.
I ordered the filet and it’s just not great quality very disappointed
The Hostess Ty I believe is her name was AWFUL! She was extremely rude and unwelcoming . I had a reservation for 9:15 and arrived roughly 15 mins or less late and THOROUGHLY apologized. However she made it very clear that she was annoyed and didn’t want us there. She rolled her eyes, exhaled loudly and her tone was terrible advising me that “by the way the kitchen closes at 9:30”. At this point I’m confused as to how I was able to make a reservation for 9:15 if the kitchen closed 15 minutes later. Her demeanor and attitude were DISGUSTING and Sage Perimeter should find a new host. I have dined there many times and even after being completely disrespected immediately upon arrival I stand and spent my hard earned money. Our server Kiersten was AMAZING!!! She was sweet, energetic and attentive! Sage is lucky to have her. Kiersten is the only reason I may ever consider returning to Sage or recommending them to anyone. Sage consider putting a pleasant person at the door. Not a rude condescending clown.
The food was not how the pictures have it displayed.. wanted a good brunch and it was very good. The crab cake Benedict’s is imitation crab with more fake filling than crab.. the biscuit and gravy was really good tho!!!!
Service was terrible! The food was either subpar or bad. Even getting seated was an issue that took a hour past when i reserved my table for in advance. Even my cocktail drink left much to be desired. Management tried to argue that all was well with the spoiled side dish on my companions dish and refunded the side only. The only upside was the music. Rarely do you get hit at all cylinders like this. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Do not eat here!!!!!! Food was horrible && staff was rude
The food was great! I counted off 2 stars because we were rushed out of our seat. My group of 3 was told we had 15 minutes to get up and leave in order to make room for more guest. It was unreasonable because we were not there long and they were no where near closing time. I've never been asked to leave a restaurant in my life!!!
After my first pleasurable experience at Sage I made reservations for my daughter’s 33 bday. This was three of my girls first time at Sage and they were proud to know their mom has great taste. Thank You Sage, our waitress was awesome!!!!
Our server was GREAT. She really made my experience as a visitor great!
Enjoyed a lonely dinner with my husband. The service was superb and the food was delicious.
Brought my friend from NY here for her birthday after previously having a decent meal for my birthday. The food was good, but didn’t come out hot and the drinks weren’t the best, but decided to give it another try due to the ambiance. During the 2nd visit, the food was good, one of our plates did come out luke warm, but we didn’t complain. We each ordered one drink and shots since we knew the beverages weren’t the best from our previous visit. Service wasn’t the best, but still no complaints.
The issue happened when we received the bill that included gratuity, on top of tax, on a table of 5 when it clearly stated that gratuity is added on tables of 6 or more. Had the manager, Meghan, come to the table and asked if gratuity could be taken off and that we would like to add our own tip. She told us she could not remove the gratuity because the new menu, which was not printed yet, had updates about gratuity. We asked her to show us the current menu, it stated 6 or more. She then said she would take the gratuity down to 18% instead of 20%. We told her we would not be returning and she said, “That’s fine.” I can’t make this up lol. Never have I had such a disgusting experience like this at a restaurant. Long story short- We paid the tab in cash and tipped the waitress (she definitely would have received more before the fiasco of the added gratuity to a group of 5 and the disrespect of the manager. 3 of us worked as servers/bartenders for years, so we know the life.) Stereotyped and will never return. Spend your money somewhere else. Too many restaurants with great food and service in the Atlanta area.
Very nice evening. Loved, loved the live entertainment. Would suggest bringing the bread along with the wine.
Overall great place. We had fun, service was great, food was amazing, ambiance was wonderful. Cocktail drinks were just okay. Wish there was more patio seating. Pretty good experience!
The food was good.
The service was non-existent. We had a party of 5. The server made 3 separate trips just to deliver water. The last trip took took 15 minutes. Salads were ordered and one entree came with a baked potato. We were told dressings and toppings would come on the side. Meals arrived but no dressing or toppings. 4 people were waiting for these things while their meals became cold. This is basic blocking and tackling in the restaurant business and they are not trained in the basics.
The music was so loud we shouted at each other. We asked to have it turned down a bit and were told it has to be a certain level in the dining room so it was not possible to turn it down.
Will not return. Do not recommend this restaurant.
Good food…but the service was extremely slow. Our waitress wasn’t helpful and disappeared for 20 minutes at time. I was very disappointed.
Also, the music was extremely loud. I could barely hear then person who was sitting across from me.
This was my first visit. I doubt if I will ever go back.
Waiter was not very good. She automatically added 20% to our table of 5 and After the check she didn’t speak to us again. No goodbye have a good night or thank you! The food was very good though!
It was great food, great portions but with your drinks check it before you get to sipping found a bug in my cocktail had to order another one.
Awesome experience, will return for brunch and other special occasions.
Be careful because the prices on the menu are NOT what comes out on your bill. They inflated the add on shrimp by $2.00 and the add on steak by $2.00. It appeared to be a simple mistake however we learned it was not. The manager actually said the prices on the menu are wrong. This means they changed the prices but decided to save money and not update the menus.
Also the notes on Open Table state to reserve/save an patio/bar seating to call the restaurant directly. I did this and was giving contradictory information. This is not a one time occurrence…it appears to be the norm for mis-information and hidden pricing errors. This was once an elegant upscale restaurant.
Music was very loud and made the dining experience unenjoyable
The two hour limit was a surprise but ok. I didn’t care for the 30.00 gratuity attached because honestly the waiter didn’t do a job that superb. Appetizers were 30 plus minutes late & she had a upside down facial expression when I asked about desert! My bill was 190.00 & you’re mad because I asked about desert! Definitely won’t recommend this place
So loud our ears still hurt the following morning, and we were seated at a relatively quiet table (at our request, and it WAS quieter than other parts of the restaurant we went through to get there. Internet menu did not match restaurant menu (items or price).
