    We are from Dallas and frequently experience fine dining in our area. Sage was as nice an experience in fine dining as I've had. The chef really creates interesting cuisine with great flavor profiles. The food portions are spot on and the presentation is delightful. Our server Ted was terrific. We have a condo near Clearwater and we will be back to Sarasota and will definitely reserve a table at Sage upon our return!

    Super kitchen! Flavors of everything were incredible. Nice tight menu, yet covers all the bases. The inside of the building is beautiful. Kindly note if you book a table outside for dinner…it will not be on the rooftop as it’s for cocktails only we learned. Our server was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. There is complementary valet parking as well…very helpful.

    For our Friday night chow, we explored the historic building and international menu of Sage Global and loved our meal! The Thai bouillabaisse and pork belly dish are outstanding. We highly recommend visiting this place for cocktails, dinner or just a place to hang while enjoying the sunset. You will not be disappointed with the ambiance 💜

    Normally quiet romantic place. Very loud drunken women’s birthday party. Unfortunately the Restraunt did nothing to hurry them out or ask them to keep it down. Otherwise great experience as usual

    Our waiter Jonathon was awesome. The food (bouliabase and pork ) dishes were tasty However the pork was overcooked and the boulliabase was cold as evidenced by the broth being congealed somewhat The seafood was very fresh. We were charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. This was corrected quickly. The food not being warm may have been due to having to return a bottle of wine that was bad and get another. Beautiful space!

    Chef's Chicken with Yucca fries was absolutely delicious! Our waiter, Marley, was very professional and added a lot to our overall experience. We highly recommend this great spot!

    We went to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The menu was unique and had many GF options to choose from. We visited the rooftop bar after dinner to enjoy the pleasant evening.

    Really great experience at Sage. Our server Marly was the best server we have had in SRQ. His description of the seasonal menu was spot on and helpful. There were 5 of us and the Thai Bouillabaisse, bison brisket, pork belly, and fra’ Diablo were all amazing. Great wine selection. Live music. Highly recommend Sage SRQ.

    Beautifully designed, upscale restaurant. Very clean and comfortable. Service is truly outstanding. The food was not uniformly great. Lobster and split pea soup (served cold, not made clear on menu or by server) was tasty. Poblano Corn Chowder with Cotija Fritter was a hit. Mixed Greens with Candied Chilis, Curry Pecans, Charred Grapefruit and Peach Vinaigrette has a "kick" and proved to be a crowd pleaser. Entrees...we had some issues. The Bison brisket was overdone and dry. It was difficult to eat. The Housemade Turmeric & Smoked Chili Rotini with Arugula, Grilled Corn and Parmigiano was dull and poorly seasoned. It sat virtually uneaten despite four hungry guests at the table. The Seafood Fra Diavolo with Stewed Tomatoes was excellent...heat, flavor, and delicious seafood selections. We ordered two desserts - Secret Garden and Banana Pudding - and were pleased with both. Presentation was stunning and creative. The flavors were amazing. Cappuccinos were very good too. Overall experience was very positive and we will go there again.

    Dined at Sage Friday evening. It was my husband's first time, I was there once before. Restaurant is lovely-big and open. Dining experience was exceptional. We split an Octopus appetizer which was very good. We both had the Bison Brisket for entree-very very good. We also split a dessert, the Banana Pudding. We were seated on the 2nd floor. Restaurant is pricey but a wonderful experience. The 3 things that I would mention that we had an issue with has nothing to do with the food. The music volume is too loud and distracting. Our table for 2 was small but the pedestal hardly left room for you to place your legs-uncomfortable, I also requested a pillow for my back. When I made the reservation, I wrote a note to the restaurant that it was our 51st wedding anniversary. When our waiter came to the lobby to escort us upstairs, he asked if we were just dining or was it a special occasion? I told him about our anniversary and it was never addressed-I may be old fashioned but it was disappointing. All in all I would recommend this restaurant as a very special place to dine. Also they make a fabulous Espresso Martini.

    Excellent gourmet dining experience. Menu changes quarterly, so be sure to check out the updated menu each time or at least bring a sense of adventure. Every dish is wonderfully prepared. Beautiful atmosphere and great service. Extensive wine and cocktail list. Loved the rooftop bar as well. Will definitely return.

    Beautiful place with great service. Food left a little to be desired. Bison was dry and overcooked. Lobster in their signature dish was undercooked and the dish was bland. Will not recommend nor return.

    Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very polite/friendly throughout our experience. The ambiance was amazing inside the historic, yet modernized building. Highly recommend!

    A late discovery for our family in Sarasota but we have now deemed Sage SRQ our favorite restaurant hands down! The food is perpetually 5 star, they have an insane mixologist and unique craft cocktails, a seasonal menu which is always a plus, and impressively impeccable wait staff!

    Food and service were outstanding. Marley gave us the best service we’ve had in Sarasota the last 5 days and he’s only 20 years old!     Beautiful setting in a historic building. Chef is super accommodating to dietary issues and the food is superb. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable without being intrusive. Highly recommend!

    Server was rude, treated everyone as though she knew it all. We have all travelled all over the world so we know about service and food. This did not meet our expectations with regard the food. The table was lovely, round and easy to converse. I had the foie gras, it was miniscule and expensive with some hard pretzels on the side. My entree was brisket, it was hard and stringy, uneatable. The music was a nice addition, made the ambiance lovely

    Service was great. Food was almost perfect. I ordered the branzino entree and had to return it. It was awful. The pastry overpowered the whole dish and it lacked flavor. I got the rotini instead and that dish wasn't any better. All the other food and dessert we had was excellent so not sure why I couldn't find a decent entree. Also, they acknowledged (said hbd while walking us to table) my husbands birthday but didn't give him a dessert or drink or anything. What's the point in asking if it's a special occasion when making reservation if a restaurant isn't going to do anything for it? That was disappointing. We will go back to try this place again and hopefully I can find a good entree next time lol

    First, Sage SRQ is a lovely spot to eat, with a nice atmosphere. But that is just the beginning. The cocktails, whether you choose standards like a margarita or one of their specialties like a table-side smoked Old-Fashioned with your choice of wood chips(!), are superb. The servers were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. The food itself was so delicious! (We were joking about not wanting to be judged for wanting to lick our plates clean!) And on top of it all, owner-chef Chris Covelli is a fantastic and gracious host. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it's well worth every penny.
