We visited for my sisters birthday. We had a reservation. We were a few minutes delayed, we had to wait. No problem, our fault but once seated we sat for 20 minutes without even a glass of water. Several people passed us including 2 servers who didn’t even acknowledge us. Someone finally dropped off a bottle of water, no glasses. We ended up getting our own glasses from the nearby stocking station 10 minutes later. When the server finally came he was very serious and we tried to get a laugh out of him but not very successful. Maybe he had a bad night or was too busy, but we shouldn’t see that as the guest. We ordered all our food at once so we wouldn’t risk further delay or being forgotten.. they were busy that night…. But again, a simple moment of acknowledgement followed by a quick, I’ll be right with you would’ve sufficed. Our food came out. It was delicious but the person who dropped it at the table did just that and didn’t bother to ensure we had silver ware to eat. We did not. We ate with our hands until someone came with more food and said I’ll bring you some setups. I like Sage. I like the food. Ive been several times. I keep Coming back. Service needs to be improved. I will note also that I have the curse of working in both hospitality AND HR so I’d say that I see things most may not pay attention to BUT with that I also see when training and communication are missing in an operation. Could’ve also been staffing but something was off and it didn’t just get noticed by our table. The tables surrounding us were also left waiting for an exorbitant amount of time for their check and desserts. Point is that being “on stage” matters in customer service. Everybody has a bad day, not everyone passes that on to their customers.

10 out of 10 stars. Sage is my favorite vegan restaurant and I am SO sad they are losing their Culver City location. They have the absolute best vegan chilequiles and we had to go for one last brunch before they left.

The food was great as always and the hostess was excellent and accommodating. However, the server and food runner were both rude, cold, and never came to the table to check on us. They took so long to come back when we were finished that we had to find them to pay our check. When we finally received our bill, it was incorrect and we had to argue with them before they agreed to check their work. I will always come back for the good food but the service is a hit or miss aside from the hosts who are always super kind.

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a special 5 course menu offered by Sage. Every bite was delicious and the portions were bountiful! (I ended up with a lot of yummy leftovers to enjoy the following day). My hubby who is NOT a vegan enjoyed the dishes just as much as I did. Our server Emma was wonderfully kind and attentive, even amidst the Valentine's dinner rush. Keep up the superb work Sage!

Brunch exceeded expectations. Admin wasn’t exceptionable server the best I’ve had in a while and Molly created the most out of this world. Most delicious French toast of all time. OMG I cannot wait to come back and bring my friends.

A little overpriced for a lunch. Food took a long time even though it wasn’t busy at all. Our server was very nice and it took long not through fault of her own. I ordered the baked eggplant Parmesan and it was a flavorless, mushy mess. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. My husband’s tuna wrap was better. Fried artichoke hearts were good.

Wonderful food and drinks! The patio is lovely and they brought our dog a bowl of water the minute we sat down. Service was amazing!

The food and drinks were excellent! However, the moment we were seated, I was bitten two times by either fleas or mosquitoes. This was a very unpleasant introduction, as it was my first visit. I spent the whole time scratching itchy bites. Management should look into how to protect patrons from insects. Not sure if they allow dogs, but illuminating that is a start. I went in when the place was practically empty, at 1PM. Even though the place was empty, service was really slow. There were plenty of servers, but they were continually socializing with each other and therefore not looking out for their customers. That was disappointing. Our server was friendly, but inattentive. She didn’t check on us. I had to literally flag her down 4 or 5 times for drink orders and such. I liked the food and atmosphere, but don’t know if I would return unless the things I mentioned are addressed. Good as a take out option!

Amazing vegan food that doesn’t try to disguise itself as other food. Delicious entrees and appetizers, cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.

The food is really tasty. I recommend the Bowl of Soul. A lot of ingredients yet a single savory experience. We sat outside which is very pleasant. I’m going back to try something new. All four people in our party ordered different things and all were great

Really delicious whole food plant based restaurant! We loved everything we ordered. We sat outside on a perfect summer evening! It was not too noisy or cold! I would highly recommend this place!
