   We had an absolutely incredible experience doing the Chef’s Tasting Menu! The service was personable yet professional. The food was spectacular and we were shocked at how calm relaxed the kitchen staff were, they are clearly very good at what they do. It was a pleasure to watch! Cocktails were delicious too! Thank you Sage Staff! We are all food & beverage professionals and it was so special to be on the receiving end of such hospitality!

   Two scallops for an appetizer? No… it should be clearly stated and it’s not. Also overly salted and the flavor of bacon overwhelmed the scallops. The bison filet was done to perfection but the portions leave you running to the fireside grill for a second dinner even though dinner at the grill will cost you $200 at the bare minimum. I asked them to use a plain vodka vs a flavored vodka in one of the drinks… cost me twice the amount of the original cocktail. Would not recommend. Even the wait staff back at the lodge didn’t even recommend the grill.

   The Filet, side dishes and Lobster Risotto were very good. The desserts were good but not as good as last year. Mandy our server was the best and we really enjoyed the conversation, suggestions and level of all care given.

    We arrived here on New Year’s Eve as we were recommended by the Lodge staff this is a great restaurant to enjoy the holiday. We were told we would be enjoying the chefs tasting 5 course menu. As soon as we walked in we noticed there was absolutely no sign of the fact it was new years. No decorations or gadgets to make noise, nothing. We sat down and ordered our food with high hopes. First course- the appetizers were delicious but 2 people in our party ordered the elk carpaccio and one had chips when the other didnt, as well as one person in our party asked what the limey tasting thing on it was and othe waiter had absolutely no knowledge of the food he was serving and had to walk to the back several times to answer questions for us about what we were eating. The lobster bisque ordered by one in our party was cold so we sent it back and when it came out again, still cold. Course 2 - I wouldn’t really call this a course as it was just great fruit juice that they provided a spoon for in a wine glass. Actual course 2- our mains - 2 people in our party ordered filet mignon and lobster tail, they ordered 2 different temperatures and when the server brought them we asked which is which and she said I don’t know. The lobster tails were cut in half and stuck to the shell and everything was cold, including my risotto, which was underdone and the last dish the short rib which was more stroganoff. Last the 3rd course, NOT 5th, dessert. Can’t mess that up right? Wrong. 3 cheesecakes with cold huckleberry compote in the middle of winter, and a banana pie that was so so. To make up for it they brought over 1 whole lobster tail that was undercooked and a bull for the full $145 per person, plus 1 person in our parties wine pairing which didn’t even come out with the food. If your going to spend this type of money on food don’t go here. Outback would be cheaper and more delicious and if they messed anything up, they’d make it right without question.

    After spending nearly $450 on dinner for two, we left hungry and ordered bread at Sage's other restaurant across the street. It was the best thing we had all night. Billed as a chef's tasting menu, it was really just two small courses and a dessert. One first course was just a small pile of raw, shredded brussel sprouts in a sweet mayonnaise and with raisins. That's it. Another was a pair of tiny, flavorless oysters on a salty foam structure. Course two was a glass of wine, paired inexplicably with a spoon. Still, we rooted for the dinner to succeed based on the excellent food we'd previously eaten at the sister restaurant. But the risotto 'main' came out cold and flavorless. The sauce on the surf and turf was flat and flavorless as well. The filet was good, but tiny (the right size for a true five course menu, not the tiny two course menu Sage served). Overall, the menu lacked salt. And it lacked the kind of refinement and sophistication we expected based on Sage's reputation and normal menu. We waited 30 mins for dessert. The lava cake was fine. The cheesecake was burned and cracked, and the base reminded the diner more of a store bought oreo pie crust than anything else. I wish they'd offered the normal menu. It appears from other reviewers this night was a big miss all around. We saw two other diners laugh to each other as their courses came out. They left early. We were looking forward to this meal for a long time. At $145 per person before wine pairings, we left feeling fleeced. This feels like a restaurant that can do so much better. I wish it had.

    Very nice! The Sage Lodge Grill provides great cuisine, and has a fantastic wine list. Our server, Mandy, was very knowledgeable and quite pleasant. Our dinner couldn't have been better.

    I suppose for the location it is to be expected, but it was quite expensive for the amount of food. The rack of lamb and hanger steak were both tasty, but small. Most definitely would not eat there again.

    We have had a wonderful meal at the Grill a year and a half ago. This past time, however, service was terrible and food was worse. I would rather the restaurant not open than to be open with short staff. Very disappointing considering the great experience we had previously.

    Came to Sage Lodge to celebrate our anniversary and it was perfect. We sat at the bar and had great service. I ordered the rack of lamb and my husband had the bone in pork chop. Both were delightful. Also ordered the lobster risotto and it was quite yummy. Would definitely come back for a special occasion.

    Best part of dinner was our waiter Victor. My salad lacked all ingredients stated on menu (let it go) and fish was over cooked and not good. The entree was also cold. My husband’s entree was very good. It seems like a lot of hype and not equaling the price tag. Disappointed.

    We were very pleased on the most part with our dinner at Sage grill. The cocktails and appetizers were outstanding. Our dinners were good but not as amazing as we would have thought for the prices. We have been to the other Sage restaurant and with its views I would prefer to eat there next time. I think Sage grill was good but not the best we have been to.
