Amazing food and ambiance, the views aren’t half bad either. :-)
Great service, beautiful views, I’m gluten free and only eat fish so I found the menu limited but the food was delicious... it’s just a lovely place you must check it out!
We were staying at the Sage and went for dinner. Service and food was just so so. Restaurant is more Pacific Northwest than Montana. View is spectacular! Drinks were overpriced and all ice! $14 for a moonshine cocktail which tasted fantastic but only had 3 sips of actual liquid... the rest was all ice. We chose to eat at a neighboring resort the rest of the trip which had better selection and value.
This is one of my favorite spots. Amazing views, cozy ambience, great staff, and delicious food!
Please add salads to the dinner menu. The dessert called "Gaby's fruit cake" was absolutely awful. None of the five people in our party liked it. The flavor of the lemon cake was delicious but was dry, it seemed to be left over from a previous day. Drinks are over priced but love the variety of the specialty drinks. Love the ambience, view, location, etc. We will return.
Great service, great food, and beautiful scenery. Would definitely go back again!
Beautiful room and a great bar, food was very good although the menu was a bit limited.
They seemed to be a little short of staff but overall the people were extremely friendly and helpful.
Would definitely go back.
Great atmosphere, especially outside on the porch. Good staffing and fine food. Always happy to dine at Sage Lodge. A one of a kind place in Paradise!
Yes were local people-- menu is limited and pricey, but the food has always been good.
Lovely experience. Adam was a great server! Delish!
We went here on our last night in Montana to have as our "fancy" meal and I don't think we could have picked a better place! The food was amazing and our waiter was great. The timing of everything was so smooth. If we ever make it back up to Montant we will definitely be back!
Everything was delightful!
This was our second experience here and was not favorable. The Atmosphere is great but the service and food are marginal. Certainly not worth what you pay. Dogs allowed in the restaurant and on the furniture in the lobby.
The food as always was great, the service was great also. The noise was so loud you couldn't talk to the people sitting at your table with out shouting and then did not hear but a fourth of what was said. You want to drink and party the Fireside room would be good for you, but if you want a dinner that you can enjoy with friends maybe not so much.
Everything was great!
What a great location and the food quality and presentation were outstanding.
Wonderful view in a classy establishment. Food is delicious.
Went for our anniversary. Very lovely experience.
The setting of this restaurant is absolutely beautiful, especially the views as you sit by the fire pits or the back outdoor area. Very serene. We arrived to live music while we waited for our table. The cocktails were spot on from the bar. Our server, Logan, was extremely personable and engaged ... as well as knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed getting to know him a bit and learning of his trek from Maryland to Montana. The food was extremely flavorful from the burrata, to roasted chicken to the pork chop. And the sides were just as good. Our only less than positive component of our evening was that the individual who greeted us asked our name at least three or four times in advance of being seated. We were also promised a blanket by this person when seated outside, but had to ask a few times to get it.
All-in-all, we would highly recommend this place. The location, food, ambiance and service from our waiter was very memorable. We will be back when visiting Montana!
Great dining experience. The food and drinks were excellent with lots of local ingredients . We celebrated my husbands birthday and had a great meal with very friendly and efficient service .
The food and service here was INCREDIBLE! We told ourselves we’d probably only eat here once, maybe twice, but it was so delicious we kept coming back almost every night of our stay. Food was prepared perfectly! Fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.
Overpriced. Soup was cold and salad mostly lettuce.
Great food. Friendly servers. Super slow though. Not just the food but drinks etc.
Our experience at Sage Lodge was great with one exception, we were dining in the Fireside room and were continually distracted by the cook yelling orders. The cook would yell every time an order was ready for pickup, I understand the need to convey this information but couldn’t you find a better way? We were there celebrating our anniversary with our two adult children and had to keep pausing our conversation when he would yell. We found it very intrusive and counter productive to a nice evening.
Having stayed at sage in the past, the customer service has gone way down. The food was still great but the attention to detail and personal touch is gone. Sad because it was our favorite place to stay and dine in the past.
Awesome food. Better service
Nice atomosphere and view. Had an enjoyable evening.
Will go every week if I could afford it
Our server Sage was excellent! We weee greeted and served by everyone working that day and they did the best they could to ensure wonderful experience. The food was fantastic! And the atmosphere definitely matched the Montana vibes.
The hostess was great, things went downhill after that. The waiter was non existent. We came 1/2 hour early to experience their happy hour specials. Finally at 10 to 5 we got up and found a waiter, ordered our happy hour order and waited. The waiter finally arrived and took our drink order, never explained the specials (we had to ask for them later) and after bringing drinks disappeared for another 1/2 hour. We felt the food was over priced for what we got. No condiments were brought for the hamburger, nor were we asked if we wanted any. The sausage was way overdone and tough. At the end the waiter argued about the price of the happy hour drinks, saying the other waiter wrote them down wrong and they really were not happy hour drinks. He finally relented. I always look forward to my interaction with the wait staff, it is part of my dining experience, this person was not personable, did not inform us and in my opinion could have cared less if we were even there. I will never eat there again.
Great service by our server Sage. Welcoming at front door is always professional and friendly. The food seemed over cooked or on warmer too long. Seemed very short staffed and I trained staff.
Views were lovely, but food & service did not match the setting...disappointed for our first meal out due to covid. Had a very memorable meal here a year ago and wanted to try again, but the good recipes seemed poorly executed and service was rushed as if they needed to get the table away from you.
What a wonderful lunch! Sitting outside, enjoying the gorgeous summer afternoon with my best friend. The servers were outstanding! Lunch was perfect, topped off with a cocktail!
Super windy day out in the deck.
Service was impeccable. Food was great. Views on patio were beautiful.
Absolutely fantastic experience! Will return soon!
Great food and atmosphere!! The view was amazing and the staff were wonderful.
