Outstanding food and service. Five stars all around. The food we spectacular.
Prime rib was amazing. Great dinner. Also the beer and wine options were great
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed one of our signature dishes....and hopefully with a nice bottle of wine. Thanks again for the high scores and until next time.
Wonderful meal of Elk Medallions. Very Montana and a lovely meal
Sage Lodge is a beautiful place. The people are amazing!
We appreciate your feedback and we will certainly consider these thoughts----as we do prefer to be awesome! We hope you decide to join us again in Fireside and I will note that our fine dining restaurant, The Grill, will be opening again on May 12, 2021 and we will certainly take some culinary risks in this outlet. We look forward to serving you.
Limited choices and fairly pricey, but good food.
Limited options, food was okay but quite salty/greasy. Service was amazing
Was not offered a window table for 2 even though we had a reservation, so we sat at the bar. When we asked to sit at any of the larger available tables we were denied due to reservations which weren’t even there yet and didn’t come until 45-60 minutes later. For not being busy, service was poor as well. A special Valentine’s 3 course menu was not provided, which was advertised on their website with reservation.
Sage Lodge is so beautiful! The staff were all incredibly friendly and the service was outstanding! The food was beautifully plated! We went there to celebrate our birthdays and they had placed a cute little sign on our table and even gave us a free glass of wine as a birthday treat.
Valentine’s
The Sage Lodge is a great option in the Paradise Valley.
Their setting and views are absolutely wonderful. As pet friendly property you can walk your pooch before or after a meal, or in the summer take it out on the patio dinning.
Our Valentine Brunch in the Fireside room was really nice! We enjoyed the fun mimosas, we're greeted by a basket of fresh baked pastries, and the server/kitchen were very helpful with dietary restrictions.
We enjoyed the burger: very flavorful and packed with toppings!
Each of us had it our own way: one dairy free/no bread, and the other off the menu.
We are thrilled that you enjoyed your Valentine's Day Brunch, and that you enjoyed the property with your puppy! We hope to see you again for the summer season!
I took my fiancé to Sage Lodge for Sunday brunch following our stay in the area over Valentines Day. I’m trying to keep an open mind and stay objective when reviewing the lodge but my overall impression does not foster five star ratings. My bar is set pretty high when it comes to any kind of lodge that’s located at the heart of some of the finest fly fishing territory in the world. I’m used to some of the smaller lodge experiences that generate that genuine and honest first class Montana experience. While the lodge has the location it didn’t strike me as a place trying to generate what could be expected out of a lodge named the Sage (a famous fly fishing brand) located near the Yellowstone River. The food and service at the Fireside Room were good and the dining atmosphere pleasant. other parts of the lodge weren’t quite at the standards I was expecting.
Overall, the restaurant was okay. We went to the restaurant for breakfast earlier that day and that left a little bit of a bad taste in our mouths. The food was okay, but was overpriced. Our server was rude. Also they were pulling around the super loud room service carts throughout the meal which was distracting and noisy. The ambiance is nice though.
Good food. Great service. Just wish they had one or two more options for lower price. Prime rib should have been a thicker slice for the price but the flavor was good.
Definitely come here for dinner if you can't get into Chico. I'd go here for drinks on a summer evening. Really good staff.
Restaurant was out of steak and prime rib at 7:00 on a Saturday night. I was stunned. Service was fair at best. Will not be going back
Outstanding food, Your dinner comes out nice and hot. Our waiter was great. Loved the food.
Delicious food in a lovely environment. Will go again.
Good food at a beautiful location. Menu was a bit limited.
Our server was excellent.
The customer service was top notch! The food that I chose was tasty and delicious. My salad was fresh, unique, and scrumptious. The views were peaceful and amazing!
The food was very good. We only got our main dish and potato however. Bread, salad and vegetables were all at an extra cost. The atmosphere was very nice.
Great food and great service! Only complaint was once dinner was started the dining area was a little stuffy from the open style kitchen. We will go back though and would recommend to anyone looking for a place to eat in paradise valley!!!
Sage was an excellent server. We had a great dinner and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
Fabulous evening out! Atmosphere was perfect. Food was excellent. Service was top notch.
It was wonderful every table was having a splendid time which added to the joyful romantic/ cozy atmosphere
I had the flatiron steak. It was very good.. slightly overpriced. Not very many selections on menu.
We are here for dinner twice and loved it both times. They were able to help us with our dietary needs and everything was delicious
Best dining experience I've ever had. My husband and I split the farro salad and half the chicken and it was incredible. Our waitress was SOO sweet and we were pretty much the only people in the restaurant. Highly recommend! The prices aren't too outrageous either, especially for the amount of food you get.
The fireside room is amazing! Wonderful food with large portions, friendly and helpful staff with the most beautiful view!
wonderful service, food and ambiance. cozy and comfortable, perfect for a dinner after spending a day exploring the area.
Every chance the staff has to show at least good service, they fell flat
Our waitress Sage was lovely! Went for afternoon drinks and apps and sat in two chairs in the lobby area so we could see the view/staff could turn over the dining room for dinner. What a great afternoon! We will be back. :)
Beautiful property with amazing food. The chicken and waffles were beyond!
Amazing food and amazing people and service! My husband and I were at Sage Lodge for our honeymoon and they rolled out the red carpet for us when they found this out! Chef Daniel personally came out and spoke with us and treated us to a variety of appetizers, which was greatly appreciated. The Bison Tataki was easily one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. And I could eat the warm baguette with marrow butter every single day if I could. We can’t wait to go back for our anniversary next year, and probably sooner at the first chance we have to have another little get away. We have both been singing their praises to anyone we talk to :)
Hello Kelsey! Thank you for such high marks, and we're thrilled that you enjoyed the cuisine at Fireside and we agree that Chef Daniel and his team are true rock-stars. We hope that you both do come back soon as we have some exciting things planned for 2021. Congratulations and we're glad you chose Sage Lodge for your honeymoon!
I think our server's name was Logan and he was absolutely amazing. very accommodating and went above and beyond to bring me a new plate of food when I spilled my drink in it LOL
Hello Jaimie! We're glad you enjoyed your experience at Fireside and it's very much appreciated that you recognized Logan. We enjoy having him on the team...and both Logan and I hate when we spill our drinks so we're pleased we could get you reset! We hope that you join us again in the near future.
Amazing food and ambiance, the views aren’t half bad either. :-)
Great service, beautiful views, I’m gluten free and only eat fish so I found the menu limited but the food was delicious... it’s just a lovely place you must check it out!
We were staying at the Sage and went for dinner. Service and food was just so so. Restaurant is more Pacific Northwest than Montana. View is spectacular! Drinks were overpriced and all ice! $14 for a moonshine cocktail which tasted fantastic but only had 3 sips of actual liquid... the rest was all ice. We chose to eat at a neighboring resort the rest of the trip which had better selection and value.
This is one of my favorite spots. Amazing views, cozy ambience, great staff, and delicious food!
