Nothing seems to go right.
Appetizers bland bland or over cooked.
Entres sat way too long under the kitchen warming lights.
Food was dried out or burnt. My pasta was actually so dry from the heating lamps I had to chew it. The meatballs were badly burnt.
We sat and waited for our food for over 45 minutes.
For such a great looking place it was a total disappointment.
Great locals spot. Food is always very fresh and home made. They do not open up packages. Their brunch is amazing with a wide selection.
We were there for brunch and the bottomless option was a great deal. However, for those of us who wanted just one drink and did not go bottomless, less so. The restaurant is very spacious and comfortable. We all lived in New York City and it was so refreshing not to squeeze into our table and be able to hear conversations next to us.
I appreciated the gluten free options, but I was really hoping for at least one gfree carb -- potatoes are fried in same oil as gluten items so that was a no go. Gfree pancakes or french toast, or even an English muffin would be nice.
Overall the food was tasty although our stakes were not medium rare -- more medium well. We were too hungry to complain. lol
I would definitely go back to check out their dinner menu.
The food is always delicious!
Great local spot, nice addition to the area
Food was good. Server was good. Getting the food was slow.
We enjoyed the food and service very much. HATE the music but they were very accommodating when we asked them to turn it down . Owner and staff are Unusually Nice. Lamb chops were excellent. As was salad. The rolls were very good. Parking was easy. We will return
Food was wonderful....service from Ava was great....music was really good but just a bit too loud....hard to hear each other
Great live music. Our dinner was a little slow to come out, but food was good and nice price point.
Young, untrained staff abounds. The host sat us next to many people and we asked to change tables. Utensils on the table were dirty. We ordered a glass of Malbec and a glass of Shiraz. One came back as white wine. We told the waiter that both wines are red in color. He seemed confused and took one back and then told us that the bartender was out of Shiraz. When the bread arrived at the table, it felt warm (wow!) but then was FREEZING cold on the inside. When a "manager" came to our table to ask us how everything was going, I told him about the bread. His response was simply, "Hmm. That's too bad." Our burgers were fine (nothing special). The restaurant is too big and cavernous with not so many tables. Service was mediocre to poor and the food was mediocre. I would not recommend this restaurant. I expected the manager to bring us something or say something or do something but he was also incompetent. Save your money and go elsewhere...
Delicious brunch, delicious drinks, great service!
It’s a very good restaurant and there is a supermarket/take out food service attached to the restaurant
Decorated very nicely and in good taste.
Food was amazing as well as staff.
Food was very good but the service was extremely slow from beginning to end - drink order, actually getting the drinks, getting food, getting bill. We saw the manager walking around the dining room but he never stopped at our table to apologize or update us on the status. Our waitress come by once to say the kitchen was backed up, which was surprising since the place was not packed. After we finished eating, no one came to get clear our plates. Hopefully the place will work out its service issues as the food was very good.
It’s almost a hidden jem. Food is very good. City quality.
Only last two times I went Service was sooooooo slow. Ordered a drink when Place was empty and 15 minutes later I had to chase it down. Server never even checked on us in between drinks and or during our meal.
This was our second time dining at Sage. We love the food and the ambience. The music is great too! Nice selection of food and drinks offered.
DO NOT let the outside and location fool you into thinking it's not a quality restaurant BECAUSE IT IS!
We enjoyed our first visit to Sage. Food was good and plentiful and staff was very attentive.
This was our first experience at Sage and we were very pleased. The food and service were very good. The value offered was excellent. We will definitely be going back to try other dishes. We are adding this to our list of the restaurants we like.
We had family brunch; we were eight people. We are a mix of carnivores, vegetarians and gluten free people. Everyone was delightedly happy with food options! The service was outstanding.
Quickly becoming one of my favorite spots. Whether it’s lunch or dinner, the service is great and the food is excellent.
I would have given a better review if the service was better. Everyone was very nice, but the food was very slow coming out. My soup was good, but I had to send it back to be reheated. The main course took about 30-40 minutes to get after our appetizer.
The restaurant is modern and open with large window-doors. Since the weather was lovely, these large windows were open, The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is good. A very nice place to meet friends for lunch.
Suggestion: consider having gluten free bread available so that one could take advantage of ordering what look to be delicious sandwiches on the menu!
Although the food and service were acceptable, the administration of our reservation was not. I had a confirmed reservation through Open Table. Two members of our party of three arrived early and were seated. When the third member arrived, she was seated in a separate part of the restaurant. Her cell phone was still turned off because she had come directly from church, so we only found her when one of the two people who were seated together noticed her half an hour later while on the way to the restroom. The reservation had included the information that one member of the party was celebrating her birthday, but that was not so much as acknowledged by the restaurant staff, although another, larger party received appropriate attention.
lobster guacamole was yummy, lamb chops and fried chicken was outstanding and the watermelon margaritas were delish :-)
had a nice chat with the manager, very nice people. great place will definitely go back
Ok new restaurant in nice, informal modern setting with bar across street from Iona College. Service is an issue. While student servers are enthusiastic, don’t seem well trained & service can be spotty. Our server took orders for cappuccinos & then forgot to bring them until they were cold. We refused them & weren’t charged. They were apologetic & polite but need better training. Appetizers all good. Entrees fairly tasty but not spectacular. Still, this is a nice addition to neighborhood dining & hope it will improve with time.
appetizers were different and very good. The best grilled cheese sandwich served with a great salad and homemade chips . Looked so great on the plate and did not disappoint in taste. 6 of us and everyone enjoyed the food (fish&chips, chicken dishes fried and roasted, crab cake) Brooklyn cheesecake yum!
This was my second visit and i brought my adult daughter. We absolutely loved everything.
She commented that she would definitely add this to her list of favorite places.
Delightful and different menu. Too noisy at dinner.
Ms. Graham at the front was great altogether great place.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and service. We knew the food was good because we often get the Mac to go. Kids and adults favorite.
And the other items in the menu were excellent.
Awesome experience. Service, food, location! Amazing!!
First time visiting Sage. Nice service people, great music, nice atmosphere. Food and drinks were just ok. I’d go back though because of all the positives
Delicious steak perfectly cooked! I substituted the baked potatoes for fries.
The food was excellent. I loved the lamb chops and lobster guacamole. Would go again. Waiters were nice and helpful.
Such a great neighborhood find! A truly enjoyable evening with wonderful food and service!
We visited Sage for a post Mother’s Day lunch.
Food was absolutely delicious!
We all had the sandwich / salad lunch combo and really enjoyed all our meals.
Service and ambiance was great as well.
I suggest you give this wonderful new Place a try!
I’m sure you will be pleased
Sage is a gem in every way - no matter what the season - the food, ambiance, staff make your meal an occasion!
Excellent food....portions and presentation. Very flavorful .
Definitely a new "favorite " for me....highly reccomend it!
Went for Mother’s Day brunch everything was great , food was delicious
We had a great time. Mother's Day Brunch. Everyone was very friendly. Service was good, but a little slow. Had to ask vs. the waiters or waitress coming to us.
We will be back!
