   The quality of the meat was outstanding, I've never had such a delicious and healthy steak. You can taste the farm raising the animal had. Wine was perfect. The chistorra and fried cod fish were fantastic.

   Beautiful, modern interior, white tablecloths. Table went w tasting menu. Interesting basque foods displayed. Food quality was excellent. Rib steak was very much on the rare side. Waiter even offered to have it cooked further. End of tasting was a cheese selection that was quite nice. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful. However, interest was lost mid-way through the meal. This is not an unusual occurrence in European restaurants. Excellent collection of mainly Spanish & French wines. No real help in wine selection. Overall a pleasant if not exciting evening of dining.

   Le pusieron sal de grano al volcán de chocolate, pero unos trozos de sal enormes, arruinaba por completo el sabor y en el menú no mencionaba que lo tuviera. Nos comentó el mesero que era para “potenciar el sabor del chocolate” pero en lugar de potenciarlo lo opacaba por completo, no podías saborear más que no fuera la sal.

   We had an early Christmas Eve dinner here. Simply put, the food was amazing (especially the whole fresh fish); service was great; and the atmosphere was comfortable. If in Madrid and you want some fresh Basque style food, would highly recommend.

   Ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, $150. Could not even eat it. Worst steak I've ever had in a restaurant and yet the manager asked me to pay for half the steak, as if she was doing me a favor. Totally horrible. Ungracious hospitality to go with a horrible meal.

    This restaurant is an unexpectedly lovely hole in the wall when you walk by, but exudes an intimate and lovely atmosphere once inside. The wait staff was all friendly, accommodating (to both our food requests and somewhat broken Spanish speaking abilities) and the meal was truly excellent. I’d absolutely recommend this spot for a date night, anniversary, or special occasion!

    While the food was very tasty, I found them to be lacking. Sorry - no fish is going to be worth E140 no matter how well it is prepared and presented. It was priced "AQ" but I don't think they were very honest with us. There are much better value restaurants at which to eat in Madrid.

    Amateur night. Server didn’t know what the tasting menu was or if it was available even though it was on the second page of the menu. No wine pairings despite an extensive wine list implying in-house expertise. Apparently only had two of 10 listed cavas in stock. Server clueless about cocktail list. Bloody Mary was just tomato juice with vodka. Food was solid but the overall experience was a comedy of errors. Awkward and uncomfortable. Not recommended.

    Booked to go to this place on Open Table. Turned up and they didn’t have a table for me. Clearly this location don’t know how to use the booking system so I would advise that you avoid booking this location or you’ll end up like me - stuck at dinner time on a Saturday night with no where to eat!

    Bustling bar scene on a Saturday night. First diners for 7 am reservation. 20 min before we had water and drink ordered. Rather ignored in favor of those in bar and outside. Russian potato salad served in nesting doll was best thing we ate. Interesting tasting menus offered (2) but selections on each were odd. Main courses: Speciality Iberian pork and rice dish made with cinnamon was pure disappointment. Four bite sized pieces of pork atop over cooked rice which resembled a miserably attempted risotto. The dish was so over salted it leaned towards inedible. 2nd dish of Turbot and rice was also awful with the rice served in a small oblong tray and was incredibly fish flavor forward and competed for the attention of salt to win the takeover of tastebuds. The fish had the trifecta of bones, skin and fish scales that resulted in a 23£ choice left almost in its entirety to be returned to the kitchen’s garbage bin. The croquettes albeit present in a charming way were a choice of three beautifully fried shapes with gelatinous, over salted tasteless goo that squirted out when cute in to for eating. Wine list was good and the smaller upstairs dining room quiet until 9 pm when it filled with eager diners all whom would have the attention of the one waitress who ya served us. With all great choices in Madrid to eat this one can be overlooked for another in order to fulfill both expectations and ones belly.

    This was New Year’s Eve dinner changed from a normal booking through Open Table to a fixed price menu that had to be paid up front. Food was excellent, atmosphere too quiet for the event and restaurant not full, but most disappointing was to be told to vacate our table before we had finished as the second sitting was arriving. At no stage had we been informed directly or through OT that there was a time limit. Service started slowly then courses came too rapidly and we realised why, when having sat down at 19.40 we were asked to finish up at 21.00.

    The thing they specialize here is beef. Aged beef. Cooked bone one to an incredible seared outside but totally rare beef on the inside. After they sear the meat this way, they cut it and present it to you at the table. You can then ask the server to bring the meat back onto the grill to finish cooking to a medium rare if you prefer over completely rare inside. The salad we had was very fresh and bright. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way explaining the entire Sagardi system of cooking.

    It was a great experience, very helpful and friendly waiter. Upstairs looked very classy but we chose downstairs more like bar area - to watch the tennis on the big screen. Can't be many places you can eat a 5 course tasting menu and do that! Food was very tasty. Very nice red wine even though we ordered the cheapest! The food was quite simple and good ingredients, not much mixing flavors and textures - the ingredients are generally presented alone e.g. Chorizo, Cod, steak, cheese did come with nice jam and walnuts though.
