   The food. The staff. The atmosphere, A++!! Must dos: The lobster skewers every time, the Shwarma, the Tagine. Devin killed it with the service and the drinks are out of control. The Vesper and the cherry limeaid gotta get it done. Banana cake and now it’s time to go home. Bye! 👋🏾

   The food was good. However, the waitress was made aware that we didn’t want spicy food , especially with jalapeños. We wanted to order the lobster and she specifically said it’s really spicy. However, then she recommended the tagline . We ordered based on her recommendations. When it came not only did it have jalapeños in it but the sauce was spicy. When she came over she said well. If you take the p Jalapeños out, it should be OK. We weren’t offered a replacement dish and ended up being unable to eat it .

   This was our first trip to Saffy's. There were 3 of us. Very intriguing menu -- lots of interesting choices -- especially in appetizers. Our server was very helpful in describing the various possibilities. We wound up ordering 5 or 6 appetizers and shared them. Food was wonderful. I'd especially recommend the falafel; the chopped liver on challah; and the roasted carrots. Even though the location is a bit out of the way -- my friends live in the Valley and I come from the westside -- it was worth the trip. We made a 5:15 reservation so it wasn't so crowded. It gets busier (and noisier ) later. We will definitely go back

    The food was excellent: some of the best I have ever had. Everything we tried was superb as a combination of high quality ingredients, excellent and some creative cooking and extremely well matched menu. Service was friendly and down to earth but spot on - especially dining recommendations. Loved the East Hollywood ambience. I can’t wait to go back!

    Everything from the food to the cocktails and mocktails, the service, the serveware, utensils and glasses were just outstanding. Hard to say what to not miss since everything was so amazing. The beef skewers were particular standouts.

    A must go if you're around the neighborhood. A perfect place for a night out with friends, family or a date night. We were in awe with every dish we ordered. The presentation was a WOW factor and enjoyed every bite. Serving dishes are family style so expect to share and enjoy each other's company. There's public parking around the restaurant, but most of them are taken during dinner hours. If you're not wanting to park yourself, there is also valet available. Make reservations ahead of time is recommended. Hope you enjoy your experience as much as we did.

    Spectacular food served in deafening space with worst service in LA. Front desk children are rude, distracted, and spend more time chatting with other employees than seating guests. Wait times on sidewalk for a table you booked 6 weeks prior are lengthy and confused. Once you get to table it becomes clear the entire dining experience is about getting you in and out as fast as possible so they can seat the next guests at your table. Overall feeling is that you are not guests but here under sufferance. And yet….the actual food is sublime, which explains why I’ve eaten there twice in the past month and a half, but no more. The unpleasantness outweighs the food which is excellent but wildly overpriced for the surroundings, ambiance and service. Food matters most, but after putting down $480 for a single meal, not worth it in any universe.

    Fantastic food and service! Tough to get a good time slot reservation because of the hype but if you go at 430 and wait until they open at 5p, you can grab a seat at the bar. Worth the wait!

    Hands down LA’s definitive Mediterranean. Nothing on this menu will disappoint - be sure to order the hummus which is creamier than gelato. The Dishkabob was a also a table highlight.

    It was my second time here and another great experience. We came for our anniversary and were lucky enough to get a last minute reservation. When we arrived, we were seated outside. I noticed there were open seats at the bar, and because it was cold and we loved sitting there on our first visit, I asked the host if we could move to the bar— he was super helpful and was able to switch us. Similar to our first time, the bar experience was fantastic. The bartender was attentive, gave us recommendations, and the overall service was excellent. Food was super flavorful just like our first time at Saffy’s. Highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can!

    The food is very good but I was frustrated with a couple of things - mainly the fact that I had spoken to multiple hostesses on the phone about the fact that my table was indoors and when we got there they said there was only an outdoor table and it would be over an hour wait for an indoor table so we had no choice but to sit outside which was absolutely freezing and had zero vibe compared to inside. With it being the week of the Oscar’s when I went inside to use the bathroom I noticed tables of celebrities inside and I guaranteed we were bumped outside to make space for them. Super frustrating and I was cold all night. Our sever was very sweet but she tried to push us into getting way more food than necessary, we got about 40% less than she claimed and it was still arguably too much.

    Great restaurant. Hummus, falafel, skewers and shawarma were all great. As were cocktails and interesting wines by the glass as well. Soft serve ice cream (with citrus sorbet folded in) is a great way to finish.

    This was our second time at Saffy’s and it did not disappoint! The hummus is the best we’ve ever had and the toasted challah bread is wildly good. The scallops are special and the presentation is really pretty. The Paloma Spritz cocktail was refreshing and a great complement to the meal. Don’t sleep on dessert - the soft serve is amazing!

    Simple. Clean. Delicious. Must have the Hummus Ful with challah it was so good and very filling! It is pricey but I felt portions were adequate and the flavors were on point.

    Very disappointed with our server who never even bothered to introduce himself to us, when he decided to come to our table after we had been seated for nearly 10 minutes. Took our order and we didn’t see him again until we flagged him down to order wine with our main course. When we said we each just wanted a glass as all of our food had already arrived, he completely dismissed us. He never asked how our meal was, if we needed anything and pretty much couldn’t be bothered by us the entire time. After our table was cleared we assumed he’d be back to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee but again, waited for nearly 10 minutes and he made no effort to come to our table again. we ended up asking one of the bussers if they could get our bill. He didn’t bring us our bill or receipt to sign. We observed him with his other tables and was engaged and helpful. Maybe since we were a two top, he didn’t think we’d rack up a big bill for him, but we did spend $200 and it pained me to leave a 20% tip for him. The runners and bussers were all so great so we wanted to make sure they were taken care of. With the amazing service we always get at Bestia, we were so surprised to have such a lackluster experience. Maybe we’ll try again and sit at the bar…

    Absolutely perfect woodfire (almost) everything. Ambience is casual with a dash of chic deco tossed in. There's nothing pretentious about the food or the service, yet the food is masterful, and the price is great for what it is. Muscles, carrots and beef kabobs were the standout winners for our table. Wine list is great. Best to sit inside where you can see the fire.
