   Devin our server was so amazing ! He recommended the carrots 🥕 and they were so delicious. Not crazy about the endive dish but the skewers were moist and well flavored. Took a month to get to try this place and the service was impeccable ! Very fun decor as well !

   I had been quite excited to go to Saffy's as i'm a huge fan of Bavel and Bestia. I'd heard great things and set my expectations high but maybe too high. The restaurant is a loud one which is fine, just be ready to use an outdoor voice to be heard at the table. The hummus was delicious but everything else we ordered was just pretty good and didn't blow me away. The service is what really got me. We had waiters who couldn't hear us and were not very polite about it. Plus it felt like we were getting pushed out the whole time. We were finishing off drinks after our meal and a waiter came up to us and asked us to go to the lounge if we were done eating... We decided to just put our drinks down quick and get out of there. If I go back it will just be for hummus and a drink at the bar.

    Wonderful spot!! Loved the food. Service was just fair, and it was rather pricey for what we got. We had the falafel and carrots to start. They were beautifully plated, and tasted delicious! For our main course we had the skewers. They were also delicious!

    This place is our current favorite in LA. The food is remarkable and the service is excellent. Everyone from the greeter to the cleanup staff are friendly without being intrusive. The scallops, lobster, little gem salad, and humus are out of this world. The challah toast is delicious. We don’t love the flatbread. While homemade, it lacks flavor. It’s a great place to share. Get a table for 4 so there is room to have a few plates at a time. Like most places, tables for 2 are too small for sharing. This is annoying all over town. Great spot. We’ll be back often.

    Food and service are fantastic but restaurant is extremely loud. We requested to be moved to outdoor seating because it was nearly impossible for a group of 5 to hear each other inside.

    Server refused to ask chef to not use cilantro as a garnish on top of the dishes. Parsley could have easily been used in its place. Beware!

    I loved the ambiance and charm of the beautiful restaurant. It was awfully loud, but that is pretty typical. I did feel bothered by the wait staff who seemed to rushing us through. But otherwise, it is a lovely restaurant.

    Saffy’s last night Scallop crudo which was extraordinary Red endive and roast onion salad with pomegranate molasses and Meyer lemon vinaigrette Hummus ful (fava) Duck leg confit with turmeric sauce Snapper tagine with coconut rice Had the greatest waiter who enhanced our experience by recommending dishes we ended ordering. Food was delicious and nuanced. Known for their kebabs (which I’m sure are great) were the least interesting on the menu. The sommelier was lovely too and helpful with wine pairing as we had such diverse items.

    Scallop shooters are a game changer, and so are the mussels and the red snapper tagine. I love being able to come into this amazing restaurant 7 days a week and have an incredible meal and so much fun to boot!

    The food was really good, but I feel like they’re sister. Restaurants are much better. The pork meat was tough which was surprising. The lobster appetizer, while delicious was way too much for what it was. Also, it really bothers me when restaurants won’t modify things. I asked for their signature Paloma drink with regular tequila instead of mezcal and they wouldn’t do it. The closest they would come was to make me a regular Paloma, but would not add any “spritz” because that was how the signature drink came.  In my opinion, fine dining restaurants should (within reason of course) modify to the customer needs. I can’t even understand, not wanting to modify certain entrées if it would substantially change the character of the entrée, but a freaking drink seems a little petty and ridiculous.

    I had the pleasure of dining at Saffy's last night and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The Middle Eastern flavors of the food were absolutely delicious, and the modern techniques used to execute them were impressive. The menu at Saffy's consists of small plates, house-made breads, seasonal vegetables, and meats that are cooked straight off the fire. The wood fired shawarma rotisserie, wood burning oven, and hearth for grilling added a unique character to the food that made it stand out. The cocktails were also vibrant and refreshing, perfectly complementing the food. The interior design of the restaurant was impressive, and it truly felt like we were transported to a different time and place. The colors, textures, and finishes that were layered over the original art deco architecture of the building were reminiscent of late 1960s early 1970s Morocco. Overall, the dining experience at Saffy's was exceptional. The people behind Bestia and Bavel, Ori, Genevieve, Leah, and friends, have created a neighborhood haunt that is the perfect place to walk in for a seat at the bar, grab a coffee or pastry next door, or celebrate your next big occasion. I highly recommend Saffy's to anyone looking for delicious Middle Eastern food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

    Food was amazing and the waiter was nice but aside from him being nice service was bad. Our first 3 appetizers arrived before our first cocktails which is my biggest pet peeve and an immediate sign that things are not how they should be. Drinks should come before any food always it’s a crime to have food arrive before drinks. The waiter even realized that we had been sitting without drinks for a while and he said he’d check on them then 10 minutes later when three rounds of appetizers came out I grabbed his attention and asked him to please check on our drinks (which again he said he would do and clearly didn’t hence me having to ask). Then there was a lull after we finished our first 3 appetizers we waited about 20 minutes for the other two appetizers to come out and then finally the entree. The food was really incredible but I will personally share my experience about the service with anyone I know who mentions Saffy’s.

    great decor, the location is scenic and historic. each dish is so good, the staff doesn't need to ask you whether you're enjoying the food. save room for dessert.. you will not want to miss the flan. getting a seat will require planning ahead. this place is extremely popular.
