Saffron nola, the Vilkhu family's first full time restaurant venture, stemming from their pop up restaurant of 6 years and their 26-year catering business. Chef Arvinder Vilkhu marries his Indian heritage with local and global flavors while using classical and modern techniques. Ashwin Vilkhu, GM and Bar director uses those same nuanced flavors and incorporates them into a thoughtful cocktail menu. Pairings were also taken into account when developing the wine menu, while paying very close attention to what varietals work best with South Asian food.

The super approachable menu is the Vilkhu family's communication of the evolution of Indian cuisine through New Orleans. Their overall goal is to provide quality food, superior service in a warm-hospitable environment...while engaging all senses.

The Vilkhus have been in the catering business for 26 years in the Greater New Orleans Area, which was simply a passion project for Chef Arvinder Vilkhu and Chef Pardeep Vilkhu for many years. Over time it grew into an extremely successful business in which their restaurant stemmed from. The Vilkhus can create almost any dish from any part of the world while focusing on gourmet catering for events as small as 15 guests and as large as 700 guests.
