Service was excellent as usual; however the food was deplorable and we told management our concerns-they didn't even care. Our reservation were at 2:45 pm which is usually a down period for most restaurants and I believe they may have given us their scraps or left overs and the problem is at their price point their scraps are not worth even a penny.
Our server was nice without being intrusive, and very attentive. The food was great, I had a lovely gluten free chickpea, rice, curry item which was fabulous. We had a delightful mother's day brunch, with a bonus of some excellent live music in the background! Visit The Factory, it's worth the drive.
Great place to dine in Franklin
Saffire never disappoints; one of our favorites! Our only regret is that we do not get there as often as we would like.
There were 8 of us for Sunday lunch. We were seated right away. The service was very prompt & attentive. The food was amazing and all 8 of us are "foodies"!! Among the dishes we ordered were chicken fried chicken, chicken & waffles, braised short rib casserole, bam bam shrimp, chocolate cake & bananas foster bread pudding. Every single plate was clean at the end of the meal. Highly recommend!!
Brunch was great!
Great ambience, but food was not up to our expectations. My salad was skimpy on strawberries and nuts -- mostly spinach. Per my husband, the ribs were unremarkable. Luckily, the biscuits were delicious!
Great food. Great experience. Noise level is high but the food makes up for it.
One of our "go to" local restaurants that never disappoints us. We like sitting at the bar and eating a light dinner there.
The ribs were very disappointing. The rest of the food was good though.
Gumbo and Chicken and Waffles were outstanding!
Southern creative. Great waitress. Relaxed setting.
Got off to a rocky start when we stood at the host stand for 5ish minutes without any greeting despite two employees walking right by us. I liked our server a lot. Just attentive enough without being too in our business. Food was delicious. The live music was a huge plus.
Great lunch. Felt welcome at the front door. Food was prepared perfectly. Best lunch we've had in a long time.
We've heard about this restaurant for years and finally made it for dinner. It was a nice evening and the food was very good. That being said, it was pretty expensive for what we got. I would go back, but it wouldn't be at the very top of my list.
I will probably give these guys a second chance... but it might take a year. While the experience wasn't bad, it also wasn't stellar or memorable enough to make me want to rush back. Ribs were overcooked... but had really good flavor. The Texas ketchup saved them (really good). The black drum special was slightly overcooked (but certainly still acceptable - just not stellar). The green beans were undercooked (after my wife had ordered them to be overcooked) and were ridiculously small for the +$4.00 charge. I sent them back and again they came back undercooked. (Yes, they were the same beans.) The server was a pleasant enough gentleman... However, he was a bit on the slow side, not really that "switched on," and not as attentive as I've come to expect for a restaurant of this perceived caliber. (I had to go up and get a wine glass from the bar because the server didn't come around... I then had to go back to the bar to ask for another glass because (you guessed it) the server didn't come around yet again.) Empty drink glasses were left on the table. By the end of the meal, my out of town customer had 4 empty cocktail glasses in front of him. In Saffire's defense, they may have had a server or two call off unexpectedly. The manager seemed a little off his game (maybe stressed?). Overall rating: Just OK. Just decent food (not wonderful)... Great Texas Ketchup! Restaurant service needs a little "polishing." This place can be great if they just notch up the service a bit. (No big deal on overcooking and undercooking as long as they nip it in the bud.) The good news is that this place is in a cool location and has great potential. Further, the menu is actually quite excellent... So, hopefully it was just an off night.
We went for Easter brunch. I haven't been to Sapphire in quite a while but I'm glad I went back. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken, a yummy panko-crusted chicken with country ham gravy and white cheddar penne mac n cheese. It sounds ridiculously heavy but surprisely, it wasn't. I ate every last bite and will definitely go back. Two thumbs up!
Food was very good but restaurant is under some changes and wait staff is not completely ready
So delicious every time and perfectly poured drinks!
