We went here for brunch and was not disappointed. Food was delightful and was quite delicious. The server was friendly and the place was interesting - with all the artwork reminiscent of everything Latino.

I came across Sabroso on Open Table by chance looking for a romantic lunch/brunch and thought Sabroso fit the romantic bill. To our additional pleasure, not only did It meet the expectations, the food was amazing!!! I had the Chorizo omelette and my wife had the eggs Benny. The flavours were undescribable. The only issue was making the choice of what you wanted to have, it all sounded so good. The prices were reasonable, the ambiance was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family to try. We can't wait to go back and try out dinner. Thanks Sabroso for a great meal, see you again soon.

The service at Sabroso was wonderful from the second we arrived. The staff actually seem to really care about how we were doing, which was great! The calamari was some of the best I've had in Calgary. Osso Bucco was very tender and delicious .Paella was pretty tasty as well. These menu items are common but they way they were prepared was different which made it like almost as if you've never eaten them before. I would definitely go back.

I love Sabroso, and I love introducing my friends to it. The appi's are amazing, especially the calamari. The ambiance is dark and romantic and the service is always attentive and friendly. I love it.

We were the only diners in the restaurant at 6:30 midweek, and no one else came while we were there. My wife and I shared three tapas and a salad. They were all good, and the service was pleasant, but overall nothing outstanding to draw us back.

Do not have experience with South American food so thought we could give it a go. Food overall was good with the exception of the bread pudding desert, did not seem to be cooked enough as well as dry. Initially the music was too loud to carry on a conversation, but that did not last too long. Likely would not return as it was good but not great.

This restaurant has live music and people dancing throughout the night. The food is pretty good except the portions don't see to be as much as the server and owner makes it sound. Some of the beef and chicken is a bit overdone and dry but the seafood definitely makes up for it.

Somehow, there was a glitch in the reservation - as we were driving to our 6:30 reservation, we got a call that they could only offer us a table at 8 p.m. That's not OK. A quick look on Open Table showed that there was a table at Downtownfoods available instead, a restaurant that I've been wanting to try. We contacted the friends we were meeting and we all just drove straight there from Sabroso's parking lot. The food and the service was fantastic at Downtownfoods! An evening of karma! Don't know if I'll try Sabroso or not - they didn't seem too interested in our business.

This was our second visit with the same couple and the overall experience was disappointing from a food experience and quality down from our first visit. With only one of the four entrees living up to expectations, the other three were pretty disappointing given the high prices at the restaurant. One of the guests had to send the lamb back due to being very overdone, only to have the second time exactly the same after a significant wait, the lamb was still very overdone when it was ordered medium rare. Another entrée, the Paella was very underwhelming with, again, very overdone chicken and a very small portion for the price. I cannot talk to the fourth entrée which was quite good as the overall meal for four at $300 with wine, was very unacceptable for a special night out. The ambience for a Latin American restaurant was very quiet and by 8:30 pm the restaurant was empty. Waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu/wine but seemed quite disconnected with the chef/kitchen. Very nice people who own and operate the restaurant but at these prices they really need to step up the food quality to a higher professional level.
