Love the food! Carne asada is the best. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly for my taste. Been twice and will be back again!
Their food is soooo good and tasty! I highly recommend this place and they started serving drinks (with alcohol) which was a surprise because the last time we came here it was BYOB.
This is the best Mexican food in the city! And the friendliest staff around.
This place is ridiculously amazing in every way. We love the food, the service is warm, and the margaritas are strong.
There wasn’t anything special about the food I Actually thought it was quite bland
This was a great find. A great Mexican restaurant serving quality food and providing excellent service.
Great food paired with excellent service!
Great food and exceptional service. They treated my family like we were their only guests!
Great food drinks and amazing service! Went for a birthday and was treated very well. We would definitely come back.
Best and most authentic tasting Mexican restaurant I have been to in Chicago. I am originally from Mexico and I have been living in Chicago for 3 years and I have been looking for a place like this!
My boyfriend and I live in the area and have heard great things about Sabroso. The food was awesome, the servers were very friendly and the manager/owner (?) stopped at our table to see how everything was. Very friendly atmosphere and unique space. It was a little chilly to sit outside but would love to go back and sit out there. One thing to note is that 75% of the parties had small kids/toddlers which is understandable considering the neighborhood. It was pretty disruptive because it is a fairly small space and it got loud so if you're looking for a more energetic, medium-loud enviornment or a place to bring a group this would be a good option. The food was really really amazing andI want to return to try other menu items!
Excellent dining experience overall. Nice to finally enjoy great tasting Mexican food in the area. Classy place. Will return.
Sadly I cannot remember our servers name BUT he was awesome, it was a very busy summer night he had table inside as well as on the patio and he rocked it. We love this place and will return again soon..
Great for groups!
Loved it! FYI this place is no longer BYOB. We were not aware until we arrived, but the management was very gracious and took care of us. Food was Fantastic!!
Food was just ok. Beautiful patio and quiet location. Even with a reservation we had to wait 25 minutes, and someone without a reservation was seated before us, although we were promised the next table four times. Service seemed very disorganized.
The food was very good. The portions were actually a little large. We ran out of tortillas for one of our dishes. We asked for more to go and was charged almost $3 for three tortillas to go. I did not expect them for free, but I would have expected a couple more. We also tried the new margaritas. They were delicious, but pricey. Will definitely go back, but will skip the drinks. Our server was really nice and attentive.
Was sat on a concrete bench, but the concrete was not firmly attached to the base so the bench was lopsided. Service was slow, and the waiter did not know the menu. When I went to pay the waiter lost my credit card in the process. Manager was unapologetic about the lost credit card.
One of my favorite places to eat! Amazing service and high quality food!
This was the first time my friend and I were here. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. It was very quite because it was a Tuesday night at 5. The food was delicious. I would recommend it and I will return myself.
Everything was great. Margaritas were amazing and every dish delish!!
Very caring wait staff, different regional interpretations of Mexican food. Everything but the flour tortillas are made from scratch... even the simple syrup for drinks is home made, agave based. The rice and and black beans are outstanding... as are the various meats and the grilled shrimp taco. The chorizo was very lean. Very reasonably priced, huge yet cozy outside seating. I usually drink only standard margaritas on the rocks with no salt... yet I was very impressed with the watermelon-hibiscus magarita... very refreshing and definitely not too sweet. I've been here 2x in the last two weeks and will be back often.
Amazing BYOB spot with great food!! Great location to gather with friends to share good food with good/attentive service.
Main dining room is disorganized and cluttered. Set up more like a taco shop than a restaurant. They server you plenty of food, but it is prepared just ok.
Great people and great food !!
My second visit to this restaurant and the food and service is always outstanding! The staff is courteous, kind and goes out of their way to make sure you have everything you could possibly need. Plus BYOB!
One of the best brunches you could have at 11a on a Sunday, with the extra caveat it’s Father’s Day. Service and Food were great.
50/50 Chilaquiles were good, according to my pa, who is one one the toughest Chilaquiles critics around.
Shaded, cute patio + Byob = a perfect Sunday.
We love Sabroso. We moved into the area recently and had only heard good things. And we can confirm this is a great neighborhood spot. The food is consistently excellent and the service is always attentive and charming. You won't be disappointed if you check this place out!
Great time and service. Everything from ambiance to food was wonderful.
My boyfriend and I love coming to Sarboso regularly! They are a BYOB Mexican restaurant with delicious food, friendly service and plenty of outdoor seating. They recently were very accommodating with a large reservation I had booked last minute. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the perfect weather that day.
Was expecting so much for this restaurant. Beautiful location but what a waist!! Please be creative and do something more authentic, sample and delicious. Too many fast food Tex-Mex restaurants already.
I've eaten here 4 times in 2 weeks. The food is absolutely delicious.
Food was EXCELLENT. I had a blackened fish taco, al pastor taco, and carnita taco. Each were so tasty with the al pastor coming in as my favorite. Love that the place is BYOB too.
Our waiter was so sweet and kind, and had good recommendations for my group. Thank you so much for your hospitality and great foo!
My friends and I all LOVED our dinner! Supreme Fajitas are my favorite thing to order there -- you get a bit of everything: Shrimp, Chicken, and Steak!
I've been here twice now. Love that it is BYOB and the food has been really good all around. It's a little pricey for Mexican food, but the quality of food has always been good! I've had the pork verde which was very tasty along with the carne asada. It was very flavorful and juicy. The guacamole has a little kick which I love and the chicken burrito was also highly praised!
All 5 of us really enjoyed our visit! They were very accommodating, the food was quite yummy, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.
I made a reservation a week ago, they didn’t have record of it and took 30 minutes to seat me. After that, the service was sub par. Luckily the food was good.
Great food and fun place since BYOB. Will definitely return!
We went with a group of friends and it was a great time. The service was fantastic along with the food. It is our new favorite place to have tacos and drinks especially since it is BYOB.
Great service and great food!
