   Discovered this place when looking on line for Portugese restaurants in the Newark Iron Bound. It was listed 1 or 2 on several sites. Decided to try it. Had an urge for Portugese Bacala. Was not disappointed. A Bacala casserole was on the top of the blackboard menu along with many tempting other choices. The waiter highly recommended it and suggested rice and beans as the side dish. It was a generous portion and only $14 for the half order. It was terrific. The service was efficient and very pleasant. I will go back there. Its a small cozy and immaculately clean place

   Wow! What an AMAZING Brazilian restaurant! Best I've found in the USA! I feel like I'm in Brazil here. Friendly owners! Wonderful, nutritious and healthy food! Generous, family-sized portions.

   Extremely casual BYO spot with fantastic, home cooking that unites the flavors of Brazil and Portugal at attractive prices. I wouldn't go there as a couple, but it was perfect for a group of guys having a hearty pre-concert dinner with some good wine. You could walk past this place and not even know it's a restaurant. It's that unassuming. But the service is friendly and the owner cares about the food and whether you enjoy it. Highlights included the grilled fresh sardines, moist and flavorful, the baked cod special, and the marinated hanger steak, alongside crunchy collard greens and sauteed spinach. Walk past the giant places in the Ironbound and head for this local gem.

   This restaurant was a wonderful find. Located near the Prudential Center, but off the main street. Food was outstanding, our waitress was awesome and the rest of the staff couldn't do enough for us. The ambiance is not great, but it doesn't matter, the food and service make up for it. We didn't realize it was a BYOB, so be warned. Our group will definitely be going back.

   Small, quiet restaurant. Was a little hesitant at first but were we impressed. Great, friendly service. Staff instantly made us feel welcome. Great food and reasonable prices. I would go here again the next time I am in Newark.
