Food was really good. The ambiance was lacking. The space is too crowded. Too many tables crammed in. My partner kept getting banged into by the person sitting behind her at the next table. Also there was a very strange sound system - lots of bass and it's all you could year above the din of the crowd and it was very disconcerting. I will not go back in person as the ambiance was bad but the main courses we each had where very good.

Service was disappointing. I ordered the duck curry and received a completely different dish. It wasn't good and the server didn't return until my family had finished their food. I didn't eat my dish after trying it and not finding it to my liking. Instead of fixing the problem, I received 20% off of a dish I didn't ask for that ended up in the trash. Super disappointing, I wouldn't return.

Haven't been here in some time and enjoyed my return. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff were all quite lovely and accommodating. The food was very fresh and artfully presented. A bit expensive for the portion size. Can get very noisy. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I hope to return if in the neighborhood.

Good Thai cuisine in a convenient location. The staff is very polite. The sea bass and duck are the best options but menu is quite limited. IMO the cocktails aren't special.

I think this place is overrated. The drink was terrible tasted like syrup. Pineapple fried rice for almost $40 Thats doesn’t even taste good? That is ridiculous. I would not be going back

Beautiful Lu served delicious dishes. Stir fried vegetables were well beyond expectations while the dumpling appetizer was delicious as well . Highly recommend this neighborhood jewel.

Lovely ambience & excellent service. Liked the menu in general, but it seemed a bit limited in comparison to other Thai restaurants. Also, the deserts seemed far more Westernized than authentically Thai.

We passed by on Saturday evening and placed was jammed so came back on Sunday but they were closed for a staff party so relieved to finally get in on a Monday evening. It was delicious Thai food w nice service. A bit pricey (whole crispy fish was $36!) but I would come back.

Love Sabai Thai! Great food and big portions, nice ambiance too! There have been a few times where the wait was a little long but nothing extreme. One of the places I always recommend to my friends looking for thai in nyc!

The service at Sabai Thai was overall lovely. I liked the calm ambiance. My only issue was I marked my reservation as a birthday, please sing to me. And they didn't do that, probably unintentional and busy on a Friday night or perhaps a website glitch. Would recommend people to directly ask the servers about birthday singing rather than rely on the special notes on reservation. Otherwise, they were friendly towards accommodating a big group (even called the day of to make sure we could do the reservation) and service was nice, food was good, organized environment. Thanks!

Food was great. The ambiance is outstanding for a weekend in NYC. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because they moved our reservation by half an hour due to availability, just 2 hours before the set time, after confirming it twice before.

Decent food, poor service by a waitress who wasn’t interested in explaining the menu at all (less than a 3 second answer for each question). The decor is fine and it’s very loud in the dining room even at a corner table. The salad is way too spicy.
