Ryuu Asian BBQ
***Please note that when making a reservation, a "Bar" table is a Korean BBQ table & a "Standard" table is a non-BBQ table.***
Just average. Service is good and drinks are just alright. Hot sauce is great though
Food is fresh, dining experience was fun, staff was helpful.
The restaurant is advertised as Korean barbeque, that’s why we went there. The drinks are cheap, but the food is not of good quality and is not authentic. The meat was not fresh, the grills were not adequate for barbeque, so the meat got boiled as opposed to grilled, and the sauces were not good.
Great place! We had the BBQ combo for 2 and it was the perfect amount of food for two people. We came a little towards the closing hour, however, and one server was a bit pushy for us to leave but other than that food, ambiance, and the wait staff was awesome!
Food wasn’t good at all felt like the quality wasn’t the best no flavor and had a weird taste to it like we got the ribeye and it didn’t taste like a ribeye, we got calamari and it didn’t taste like calamari and etc. we got a reservation at 8:45 we didn’t get seated till 9:30 what’s the point of reservation if we can’t be seated at the time we reserved a table for. This was also our first experience of Korean bbq and sadly it was VERY poor.
I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone, but with the cravat that they may ask you to leave after an hour.
We had reservations, had mostly finished ordering food, but were going to have a last drink. They told us the next reservation was waiting, we could move to the bar. We went home instead. I’d like to have known that first. Just 2 of us and we weren’t dilly dallying. Otherwise, a great place!
There is a lack of sophistication with the cocktail menu and the service is friendly, but raw. Go for a low-key, Asian (not authentic Korean) bbq experience.
Five people on an average Saturday night and though there were plenty of available time slots I had to secure with a credit card. Table was nice, drinks were slow and then she kept rushing us to order. Filet was mediocre. Octopus and short rib were poor quality and tasted old. The server took the salad plates, served dinner and never checked back. When she returned half way through she wanted us to order dessert right away. There was no one waiting and plenty of open tables. Dessert was served with dirty dishes all over the table. We stacked them up and then she cleared these, after which she immediately brought the bill, with a 20% gratuity added but not mentioned. Underwhelming.
Food was fantastic, service was outstanding. Ambiance was great, quiet.
My favorite place to eat in Logan Square, and that says a LOT!
Great food and atmosphere. Don’t waste your money on the wagyu
Food was amazing! Highly recommend the crab Rangoon and basil chicke!
Very unsanitary. Found a dead fly in the soy sauce.
Food got me and another friend sick. Would not recommend.
The staff was very accommodating. We had part of our party show up late (our bad). They saved our spot and welcomed us upon arrival. For the value- amazing all you can eat for $29- can't be beat!! Everything from the appetizers to the sangria was fantastic. The seasonings to the sauces were fantastic. I will be back again.
All u can eat. In 90 minutes. Lol that is not all u can eat. BBQ pit experience until 10. But kitchen closes 20 minutes prior to closing. If kitchen is closed then close the restaurant. Also can not order all u can eat if seated one hour prior to closing. The whole thing was a joke. On a bright note the Sushi was pretty decent. Go for sushi. Nothing else.
The food was great as well as the service.
However, I don’t recommend going in anytime after 9:30, you will be rushed. The moment we arrived the host didn’t want to sit us.
Delicious food, just a tad overpriced.
The bbq is amazing and always my go to for fun events. Really made my dads Birthday special. 10/10 best place to go for casual dates or big gathering.
Everything went great. Especially it being our first time at a korean BBQ restaurant.
Good quality ingredients, but 2 of the four dishes we ordered came out cold. Waitstaff seemed amateurish and not well-polished. Nice people, though. Dude next to me licked all ten of his grimy fingers after plowing through a bowl of asian wings. His date seemed appalled, as was I.
I see tons of high reviews on other websites; I think these were written by kids right out of college because the lush reviews just didn't seem to match up to my experience. Again, quality of food was good, but the rest of the experience took quite a bit away from it.
I really enjoyed the food and service. It is also really nice to have a Korean BBQ closer to town. They have a large menu with very good options.
Great value for the price. Enjoyed the set up. The staff was friendly and attentive. Drinks were priced right!!!!
Absolutely stunning experience topped by amazing food. All you can eat barbecue menu is such amazing value and has some amazing selections to choose from, highly recommended!
We wanted to try something new and were in town for the weekend. The food was excellent!
Was craving Korean BBQ and since it was Mother’s Day I got to pick the restaurant. The Kalbi beef and seafood pancake was delicious! My husband enjoyed the Bimbap. I wanted to get the udon
It was a good experience being there for the first time. Service was good and menu options was great but only thing that is needed is for a little more of their meat servings, its kind of small portions ,maybe enough if there are 2 of you but for a larger groups it is kind not enough . I have been to a lot of this type of restaurant but the meat offering is sufficient . There ribs is only 2 pieces at $15 for me its kind of pricey. Maybe because of the location ? But overall its is a great restaurant .I enjoyed The Beach drink. though in fairness, it was a great combination. I will still comeback to eat here
I love this place! Amazing value for the price. The all you can eat has tons of options. Everything is fresh, delicious and kids under 6 eat free!! My family and I are quickly becoming regulars.
My son and I came in to celebrate an early Mother's Day dinner since he will be gone on that day. We were seated right away and the service was great, the food was amazing (we did the Korean bbq), and the ambiance was great. Will come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant for our monthly date night with three other couples. The food was great and the value of the food was well worth it.
I made a reservation for my birthday that just so happened to be a snowy, mid-April Sunday. There was no problem getting a reservation at all. We came in and were quickly seated (even though we came about 20 min before our actual reservation time. The first table we sat at was a bit small for my boyfriend as he is quite tall. Our waitress quickly moved us to another table and make sure he was comfortable. We were given our menus and they were explained to us. There is a normal menu and an all you can eat menu. We went with the AYCE option as it was our first experience with Asian bbq. The options were insane. Everything that we ordered was extremely fresh and flavorful. Great service! Great value! We'll be back for sure!
I had my first experience with Ryuu BBQ this week and it was amazing! The staff was really nice, the food was great. They did forget one of our last all you can eat items but that ended up being ok because we ate WAY to much
It was worth it! I highly recommend!
Was wanting to expose my boyfriend to new things, picked this place and it was so great! There was a nice wine special for a Sunday night and then the overall experience was really fun!!
Nice place. Good food. Tablet a little crowded with all three sides and barbecue items but it wasn't too uncomfortable.
The food and overall experience of being able to grill on your table was great. Service was sub-par however. Beverage service was very slow - multiple times we had to ask for water and it would take 15+ minutes for our drinks to arrive. They were also very strict about the all-you-can-eat program. It's only 90 minutes (and they wouldn't tell you how much time you had left unless you tracked them down to ask), they limited the number of plates you could have on the table at one time, and charged $5 for any plates you didn't completely finish. On top of that, they automatically include a 20% tip on the bill, which wasn't really earned in my opinion based on the speed of service. It was good for our larger group, prices were reasonable, and a fun experience so I would go back, but be mindful of their limitations.
Food was great. Beer took forever to get to the table, every time. But I would go back for sure.
I think all of the rules and the time limit are a little much, but the food was excellent, the service was just ok. No explanations and they forgot to bring a drink but weren't charged for it.
Delicious food in a fun setting in a great Logan Square location. The service is outstanding.
Good food at reasonable prices. Service was attentive
